it's natural because btc also doesn't show an increase so alt will also follow, instead of investors maybe some people still keep the coins they bought 2 years ago because the value is still estimated to be minus 50%,

Altcoin not growing these day because bitcoin keep with lower price and allowed how bitcoin going on, looking altcoin have higher price we have wait when bitcoin back with higher price, if bitcoin keep with lower price we have patience waiting for altcoin back to higher price, right now maybe moment for us waiting for bitcoin and altcoin without hurry for investing in crypto.
If that's the case I think altcoin too heavily dependant on bitcoin and if the price trend always follow bitcoin why dont people invest to bitcoin instead since its a lot more secure because of the huge capital, I think if altcoin keep on following bitcoin it will just stuck at where it is and not going to improve. some alts that truly progress even could have bullish market despite bitcoin having downtrend, that's what I mean with not too dependant. I disagree with this your thought. We really don't need new investors to decide the market future for us. What we need is mass adoption of the bitcoin or a major adoption of any of the good coin in the market, this will flow in a huge liquid to the market. Make no mistake about it, Cryptocurrency is the way to go, it's only time away.

even now we can see projects that are consistent and earnest to run their platforms. proven with market conditions like this can be a token they can survive and continue to have traded in the market. because some altcoins we can see them dead there is no news and updates. after the downturn now the market is improving, but the current situation can be repeated several times. we must study the situation shown by the crypto market a few years ago.

I think it's not yet the arrival of new investors but because of the dominance of Bitcoin that is still strong in the market. In the midst of uncertainty in world market and economic conditions, investors will definitely prefer to save in secure assets and in the cryptocurrency market, safe assets are Bitcoin.
The root of this is there are too many altcoins in the market of which investors have been scammed from some and as it stands, I guess they are scared of investing expecially on altcoins anymore as they ones did turned out bad. And there is low liquidity too which resulted through many altcoins that has no future and some exchanges listed them. If we keep having thousands of altcoins it will certainly bring the market down the more as it will scare the remaining investors aware. Though crypto market in general is down and I hope next year should be more better and altcoins with future will bounce back.

Look at the Waves project, over the week the growth is 1.5 times in relation to bitcoin, some other altcoins trading on Binance also show good growth, therefore it cannot be said that altcoins do not grow at all.
yeah sure not all alts are going down or have not grown at all but there are still few that shows a signs of growth and one of them like you mention is wave's coin . thats normal though for a coin like wave's because wave's is also a good coin simillar to eth . not only on binance but you can also see this price on almost any exchange as long as they support it . there might be a reason on why other altcoins dont grow well but dont worry because even the superior btc didnt also grew .

for now we have seen that in various cryptocurency markets it does not have good growth and many worthless altcoins. and in my opinion 2019 was a bad year for cryptocurency because many altcoins like Ethereum could not reach the price of $ 300. Ethereum is only able to move at prices of $ 150 to $ 250. and there are many other altcoins. and in my opinion at the beginning of 2020 it will also not improve as we hoped because now there are already many IEO and ICO scam projects so that interest from investors has diminished.
Altcoin not growing to higher price because depend with bitcoin price keep lower price, almost last one week bitcoin always have lower price and not possibility for altcoin back to higher price. Seeing altcoin with higher price we need bitcoin keep profitable with bitcoin have higher price too to get much effect for altcoin have higher price.
I think down trend will running more longer than last year, I don't see any specific movement in crypto market. We only have hope next year crypto will rise again but we should not stop to get alternative income out side crypto world. If bitcoin die/ scam at lest we have back up method to cover our fund. You can say I'm not optimist person and the answer is I realistic people.

If we look back at the past year there are more investor in altcoins because these happen have more project are trusted and potentially success of their softcap and hardcap. But as of now they are almost gone because of these many scammers in bounty altcoins and making some fake bounty campaign so some investor are afraid to invest cause of this they dont want or waste their time for a scam project. An we hope it took back on what we experience in the past year so that many investor are willing to invest again. Major reason according to my opinion is the lack of new investors.
