As a taxpayer, my greatest fear regarding tax is not the contribution but the possibility that it might end up on someone else's pocket such as corrupt politicians. I understand that it is every citizen's responsibility to give taxes but as long as it will be used to improve tha country and the government services and it will serve the purpose why it was first collected.

I don't know why ppl are always scared of paying taxes.
taxes are actually a great thing but only if everyone pays them and if they are spend on useful things only. Just look out your window and you will see lots of things paid with your taxes you use everyday.
Because the citizens of this certain country does not trust the government. They think that the taxes that the government is getring are just going to the officials own pocket and not for the sake and projects of the country.

Paying taxes can improved one's income. Paying right taxes will the economy to develop and increase  interms of lively hood programs that will lead to successful economy.

Sure you take resources(money) from the productive, waste most of it on government itself and not productive(social) and anticipate that this will be good for economy. That makes perfect sense...
Nicely said . That's how taxes work and that's why people are scared of them and hate them. It's stupid that someone takes part of your income and redistributes it among other people someone decided are in need. What if I'm in need of your money Mr. Senator and I want some of your wage?
We are living in a society of masters and slaves. Not much has changed, really.

Because it's like a robbery. People work, very difficult, and so earn a little money, And they also take taxes, it is not clear why)) or raise people's salaries, and remove taxes.or less tax take, otherwise you will never earn a normal money))

Actually they are not scared, They just want to avoid it as much as they can, because if you are rich people obviously you also need to buy big tax too. Maybe that the reason why? Smiley

It would have been much more profitable if we could pay for those things outdoors straight to the executors. But since it's not like that a big piece of our money's drought in the corrupt systems. I doubt you'd be happy to loose your money that way...

example:
In the USA taxes are too confusing. The tax code in the U.S. is huge, categorized by numbers, sections, paragraphs and all sorts of really dry, boring, and highly mistakable stuff. none of it is easy to follow or understand, a lot of terms are invented, not reexplained, or extrapolated. On top of that there are countless of way to even start to report income and subcategories that apply or don't apply to each. Then to make matter even worse, there are state taxes which might take the same classification of incomes, and scrutinize them or label them in different ways, offering different types of deductions, subsidies, or benefits, making the balancing act a huge brain-exhauster. AND its not over yet folks, on top of all this, the IRS expects you to shell out money on tax professionals, which I find funny, because any mistakes you make are your own for not abiding to the tax code. Overall, this is ludicrous, if anything with the taxes U.S. citizens will be paying this year, the IRS should reimburse for tax professional advice (If they don't already do, not sure on this one, don't kill me).

I think people are scared of taxes because government is not using it properly. Sometimes people think that their taxes is not going in the right way. And people's salary got deducted for the said taxes.

This for sure has to be one fear about taxes but how can you control it at that point? When all this money is spent by less than 100 individuals it really is tough to say what is correct and what isnt. I think personally the state

should open up voting for any process that will cost a lot and you should let the people decide.

People are afraid of taxes because they think whats the point of giving away a portion of their hard earned money. They feel like by not paying taxes they are not doing anything wrong, they are just keeping what they earned.
They don't realize that the road they drive on, the public transport they use, the parks they visit, etc are all created and maintained from their taxes only. If they don't pay taxes, there will be compromises in the maintenance of these resources and services.

Because they do not pay much, taxes will not serve us, everything will go to the pockets of the oligarchs and officials. People do not like to pay taxes, because it hits their budget, they do not see the results on themselves, Why pay taxes if roads are crooked, the salary is small, pensions are beggar.

Taxes are for the ones who work hard under the law for their life. There is no tax for illegal business, people above the law, corruption income and unaccounted investments.

Because everyone is working hard to earn their own money while the government snatches away their hard earned many by the use of taxes. They want to use their full hard earned money for whatever use they want fully and not lessened.

Like me  I hate paying taxes!why becouse its always taking from your wages and you can’t  have all of that coz some amount goes to my taxes, but we don’t choice only accept the fact that’s, really our obligation that we can’t avoid while we working.....

I am not someone who supports taxation. But that said, I have no issues in paying the taxes as long as the rates remain reasonable. But insane tax levels (please read my previous post), like those in Germany and Sweden encourages tax evasion. If the government keeps the rates to reasonably low levels, everything is going to be OK.

No, not all the time. Your taxes will go to the tax department of your country and it isn't going to the pocket of your leaders directly, projects/infrastructures and other services proposed by your government is where everything happens.

In my opinion, it shouldn't matter, atleast you can see that your country is doing something. If you don't want to pay tax then you should not use the roads and other entities build by your governments.

If you have a job in the US dollar or euro zone, then you finally give around 70% of the value of your work to taxes and fees and insurances! I think most people are basically willing to pay taxes or contribute for the community but not if it is 70% in total. A part of the taxes and fees are used for the community, but a huge part disappear in dark canals. Also take a look at the pompous buildings of insurances and how much managers earn there and you pay this all with your insurance fee, but I just want to pay to have a health service!

What you are saying is true. In certain EU nations, the net tax rates can be as high as 70%. The income tax alone amounts to 45% to 50% of the salary. On top of that the indirect taxation is also there and they are also very heavy. For example, a gallon of gasoline in Germany costs as much as 2.5 times as that in the United States.
