The revolution will be monetized!
Remember when we chose as a society to de-fund education and and glorify stupidity? Well, the kids are all grown up now and dumb as a box of hammers. You get what you pay for.

There are a lot of sane people involved in bitcoin as well. There are alot of wacky people found in the politics section though.

I couldn't agree more. It takes a little effort to find them "off the beaten path" but I have met quite a few very professional people that can conduct actual business without making me feel I signed up for a class in Scientology or something.  Roll Eyes

Conspiracy theories are fun, they keep your imagination going.
Also 9/11 was an inside job.

i dunno how the fuck to reddit

what  is this madness?

For the most part it is a waste of time unless circlejerk arguments and shoveling through tons of horeshit just to fnd a decent post and discussion is your idea of fun.

naww. If rather research conspiracies....

Good question! Must be because those people like to troll bitcoiners, everything even slightly against bitcoin or bitcoin users and they'll cheer in the huge circlejerk of shills that they form.

I'd much rather read r/buttcoin and get a few good laughs than r/bitcoin or the other "crypto" subreddits, which offer little to no new information at all unfortunately.

I admit that bitcointalk attracts a lot of strange cliques but so does reddit lol.

I just can't get why so many bitcoin fans in this forum are believers of conspiracy theories. What about this forum makes it so attractive to believers of conspiracy theories. Furthermore, why do those people think it's a good idea to share obscure theories in a forum about bitcoin?

Edit for spelling

Please research these so called "theories" over the decades litterally 100's of "theories' prooved to be true.... In other words, dont be a sheep and wake the fuck up.... in stead of judging, research it, but one warning, you will be horrified to see what governments do on a regular basis...

I don't know man, of all the theories I'm seeing here very few seem to be evidence based. I get why people would believe in theories against FIAT money and banking in such a forum but we've gotten from that to lizard men, blatant antisemitism and "proofs" of illuminati's existence everywhere there is a triangle.

Paranoid people are attracted to bitcoin by nature. There are many different personalities here though.

Generally the type of people who use Bitcoin are those that are more into conspiracies and paranoia. If you think about it, Bitcoin is based on not trusting anyone. The people who don't trust anyone are those that are inclined to believe in conspiracy theories since conspiracy theories are based on not trusting the word of those that it is against.

maybe because some of the ideas behind bitcoin are the ideas that fuel these conspiracy theorists

I for one Like bitcoin because of the freedom it promotes. When you own a dollar, you own a certain a amount of debt and somebody other than yourself is controlling the dimensions of this debt.  When you own a bitcoin you own a bitcoin. There is no federal reserve printing bitcoins just because mr.satoshi needs to buy more Instagram followers.

Now when you get people that like the idea of freedom, generally people that like to think for themselves are included among them, i.e people that do not buy into everything they are told just because it came pre-packaged in a beautiful media presentation. People that like to research and question and make sense of things through experience and intellect.

Hence free-thinkers are attracted to bitcoin.

Some people generalize free-thinkers under the blanket term "conspiracy-theorists,"  because they do not like to have their beliefs challenged and as a defense mechanism, attack through name-calling with which they themselves hardly understand.

Hence "Why there so many conspiracy theorists here"

End Presentation.
