Aside from what was mentioned above, I find gambling challenging. when I play, I challenge my self to reach a certain profits at a certain point of time like in 1 hour, I should earn at least xxx amount already from xxx capital. However, if I am with someone I, I just enjoy the game, chat and entertain our selves, just have fun.

I think last line of yours is the one people should be looking at it beacuse above lines just represents that you only play for money and we know how much difficult it could be to make money from it and addiction level rises as well since it is bound by greed .

Making money in gambling is so difficult even if you have the most burning passion on it, that's not enough to counter the finishing blow of the house edge, we always lose, that's the sad truth about it, and once gambling addiction arises, it becomes more difficult to establish a foundation to start a winning piece to gain profits in the long run. But it's always fucked up, if someone is winning, the greed kicks in and they always lose their profits because of it.

Enjoying and for fun. I mostly spend around 50$ maximum but it can reach sometimes up to 70$ depending on how much I'm enjoying playing. I mostly play Offline casino, most of the time with my friends. Though there were instances where we went to gambling casinos and played together. I don't often go alone to casinos, so yup. Some may say that doing gambling as a way of stress relief may be a bit weird? or even crazy but it's actually quite nice. Seeing myself seething from rage just from cards and then comparing it to what my problems are, the problems seem like the cards now. Insignificant. So it's really fun and enjoyable.

I don't think that joy is the direct reason that makes you gamble.
All gamblers have the feeling that they are going to win and be rich this is why the gamble. Otherwise, if you want just to entertain yourself you can try fantasy leagues, board games, etc - games that would not cost your money.

That is a nice advice indeed.I have seen addicted gamblers recover from addiction by playing online free slots which are the exact ones as if you play Gaminator machines.A friend of mine and also my colleague who used to gamble a lot on slot machines with the “five 7-ns” and lost a fortune found remedy by playing these slots for free in computer. He doesn’t play anymore with real money from a long time.
Unfortunately this can’t be simulated in sport betting but rarely I have seen addicted persons from sport betting.

I very rarely gamble, but when I do it's for fun and entertainment. My max gambling budget is between $20 and $50 when I decide to gamble. If I win, I take it and leave. If I lose, I just leave and don't try to win it back.

Everyone has a reason why we push ourselves to gamble and tried to understand the situation. And for me, it is because I would like to win, and I believe everyone wants to win rather than just enjoying or just having fun with friends. For those who have a lot of money, it definitely they don't mind losing their money but for those casual players, it surely they aim of winning.

Selected 3 and 4. Everyone gamble hoping to win, no one gamble hoping to lose. When I'm playing dice I am crossing my hands to hit that x99 jackpot Cheesy The excitement, fun, and nervousness nothing can replace. Just don't get addicted too much, learned self-discipline to avoid bigger loses.
It is a very risky game sometimes you win sometimes you lose. The risk is pretty much even like trading a coin in exchanges.

1.Enjoying- How much money does it go to weekly?

To be honest, I can look at those histories and that will all be painted in red so I don't think I am getting any profit so to minimize the money I am using weekly, I slowly reduce the money I am using.

3.Hope for a win- How much did you earn in one day?

As I said, my history is painted in red so I don't usually earn a profit but I do enjoy and continue to hope that I can still win but I think I am so far from that so I just enjoy the game.

Do not lose hope because soon you never know what tomorrow has to bring for you. You are enjoying your games too so there is no need to feel bad or low. As long as the amount on stake is a small one and the time spend on this activity does not hurt other essential activities, you can gamble and enjoy. Moreover, if you switch your casino or game, maybe things change a little bit for you.

Yes, don't lose hope until your money is gone.  Cheesy

Just to remind you guys that we should be more practical. I think there's a lot of things other than gambling that will make you enjoy and entertain yourself. Money is precious now 'cause of poverty and there are some that aren't having 3 meals each day. So don't make yourself full of satisfaction through gambling because it might happen to you as well.

I love gambling because it gives me too much fun and excitement many people are afraid to play gambling because they think it is just a waste of time and waste of money, but they don't know many people too loves to play with risk, players are always ready with a techniques gains by their experience in gambling. Still, it is better to control your self gambling even it has a high chance of winning and get more money, it has a high probability of loss and gives you debt too.

The reason why I love to play gambling is I'm a risk-taker. It's one of the characteristics of a gambler. You should take a risk while playing gambling. It's not just for playing cards and taking a risk. You must be knowledgeable . in playing like a mind reader, and you know what iI the next move of your opponent and the probability to win the game. All of us have a different passion for why we play gambling; it is good, but make sure you know your limitations to avoid mistakes and lose money.

I think, buying Crypto is like gambling ?
Not necessarily. Buying crypto is called investing. Gambling and investing differes in many ways. First way: gambling requires pure luck while investment requires knowledge and patience. Second way: gambling is risker than investing. Third way: you can double your money in gambling and lose it too within a minute while in investing, you have to wait for weeks/ days/ or months.

Ok so I let me correct myself: Buying famous crypto is not gambling it is investing. Investing in ICO's regarding the reputation and the number of scam + no exchange can be consider as gambling for me.
And in crypto you can win a lot and loose a lot within a minute (pump and dump, manipulation, mistake on an exchange #Etherdelta)

If you consider investing in ICOs as a gambling means that you do it blindly without doing some researches about the project, dont you? If you do it then you may also consider trading as a gambling if you do it blindly. Of course it is your own right to consider what you do as gambling or not, but in general both investing and gambling are completely different although luck might be involved on both activities.

When I invest in ICO's I do some research of course (I invest time in ICO not money  Wink ) but the majority just read the website and trust all the team.
When you trust something and can not be sure if everything is true or false, for me it's gambling.
In every investment you have a part of luck and therefor a part of gambling.

After maybe we do not have the same "gambling" definition. You can make a lot of money with poker and you invest your money... to gamble   Cheesy

I get your point. As you consider investing as gambling since you are risking your money with no guaranteed return. The same as gambling, you gamble hoping to make a profit, with possibilities of losing your money or make money from it.
But let me take you to a way of separating these two.
Investing is an opportunity given to investors to make a profit in either long term or short term. While in gambling, your chance to make a profit is only the game period and also the time when you don't have any more money or what we call game over.

Hum okay, I never saw it like that. I get your point too. And of course a good investor know when to stop instead of a gambler who will continue even if he's now poor.

Thanks op for the subject it's pretty fun
Investors use to invest their money then they stop investing at any limit. Gambler use to gamble but a wise gambler will only gamble until he wins and if there will be chances of lose they can stop gambling. I like gambling because it’s good for making money and it also gives us mental relaxation. Some people gamble only got fun.

Both have risk but gambling is different than investment. Gambling is an event that occurs regularly while investment can last a lot of time. There are different kind of investments and we can use technical analysis on that to predict what is the next on the graph. In gambling, you can't predict but solve probabilities so I therefore conclude that it's different.

I'm actually gambling because it's fun and I'm enjoying it. Winning a good amount out of it is just a bonus. I'm not saying that I don't need to win but I don't want to expect too much. I'm just doing gambling for entertainment because it couldn't be a source of income since there's no guarantee that we could win all the time.

Chancellor on brink of second bailout for banks

I never experience how to play in offline gambling casino but I can imagine how have fun it is if you and your friend gamble there together. This is mostly like on every gambler, to have fun and the second one is hoping to win as well. But obviously why gamblers have to gamble because of chasing money and they are thinking gambling is a source of income.
Same here because we are living on a rural area and most of the casinos are in the urban area.

If you have many money and there is a near casino in your place then it is fun to try and gamble into an offline casino but if you don't have money then you can't feel the enjoyment unless you are happy watching the gamblers gambling.

When i get bored i go in online gambling because every i play i enjoy it even i lost some of my money its okay to me because i feel that I'm enjoying. And also hope for win i know everyone why they are in gamble because they always hoping for a win even they are lose they always come back hoping that they are win.

Then it's a good thing that you have that kind of mindset than gambling because you need money. Sometimes I'm also like that, playing gambling because I'm enjoying it with my friends. It's hard to have a mindset of winning every single game 'cause it affect your current status and you might get addicted. It also helps our brain to me thing more logically since probability really matters in the gambling game.

I run a small poll, on the topic of "Why you gamble," it goes without saying why you chose the option.
I would also like to know how old you started to gamble?

If you select an option(1,23,4,5,6), reply

1.Enjoying- How much money does it go to weekly?
2.I love- Do you also like alcohol, as you like gambling?
3.Hope for a win- How much did you earn in one day?
4.Fun- You play Ofline or online casino?
5.I'm addicted- Ever since you found out you are a betting addict, what is your problem, does your father, grandfather or anybody else gamble a lot?
6.Other- What is the option, explain us a little better?
When i get bored i go in online gambling because every i play i enjoy it even i lost some of my money its okay to me because i feel that I'm enjoying. And also hope for win i know everyone why they are in gamble because they always hoping for a win even they are lose they always come back hoping that they are win.

From the voting at present 34 people have mentioned that they gamble with the hope of winning while 32 mentioned it as a way of fun and 24 preferred it to be an entertainment or enjoying. I simply don't believe in this, what's been chosen to be the primary reason is correct, because all that get into gambling is for earning. With the hope of winning they gamble than enjoying looking on what's been earned out of hard work.
