Bitcoin may not be the best system in the future but right now it is the only one we have to break away from the bank's stranglehold over us.  A lot of people that have invested over the past year have claimed to care about decentralization but they only came here for the quick money and to quickly cash out their profits in fiat.

Bitcoin cannot create any economic freedom while you can't fulfil your everyday needs with it.

It's not freedom when I need to pay taxes over every satoshi converted to fiat. And even worst, US citizens are taxed on crypto-to-crypto transaction. This is not freedom at all.

I think the freedom is most governments don’t involve with BTC at moment. Government or banker can print money if they need it, but exchanges don’t have the ability or power to create new BTC. If cryptocurrency want to replace paper money in the future, then government will control crypto one day even we don’t want to see that happened.

Leave no FUD unchallenged
lately, I found most articles the Bitcoin can make the economy more freedom and it will replace traditional financial institutions like banks etc.

While I admire their enthusiasm, I can't help but feel like "replace" is too strong a word.  It carries connotations of a sudden, or even drastic, change.  I see it as more of the beginnings of a shift in power.  A gradual transition to people having greater self-determination over their wealth.

It's difficult, at least in our lifetimes, to envision a world that has absolutely no debt-based lending and no custodial money services.  Some people are naturally going to be hesitant to let go of those ideas.  And, in fairness, a small amount of good can come from them on occasion.  We clearly have a problem in the world with the impact and consequences of how these ideas are currently being utilised and the power it gives to a small number of people.  There is abuse on a massive scale and we obviously need to rethink it.  But moving to the extreme opposite and eliminating these concepts entirely would likely only create new problems.  As with all things, there needs to be a balance.

The rational approach is to start with less reliance on debt-based lending and fewer custodian services.  Take it steadily.  It's not an 'all-or-nothing' affair.  Traditional Finance may be flawed, but it's not quite practical for the world to go 'cold turkey' and stop right away.  Change made in haste often leads to regret.

But yes, Bitcoin will unquestionably result in greater freedom.  It already does.  We just have to ensure we use our newfound freedom more responsibly than the financial institutions we deplore.

lately, I found most articles the Bitcoin can make the economy more freedom and it will replace traditional financial institutions like banks etc. but what I have seen in the last few years is almost all of the cryptocurrency controlled by the crypto exchange and some related industries about blockchain, so this what is called freedom (most people only think they can print money easily and quickly) ?

if that means, indeed bitcoin can be a place where you get profit, but quickly I think it's a relative thing, however, it won't be able for everyone to get profit as long as they are here, if there is a certain profit there will also be a loss

because everyone, who controls their own finances. if at the bank, then our money is controlled by the bank, but if in bitcoin, we set everything ourselves and we are the owner of the full rights of our money. it is a form of economic freedom.

People who have more bitcoins can manipulate the prices which doesn't mean exchanges were doing but they also can manipulate by giving fake prices and volumes.Bitcoin was created for the purpose of payment system not for converting alt to bitcoin and viceversa to make money. We can see the capability of bitcoin when stop trading it.

It's not as if Bitcoin will will make the economy hundred percent 'free', free should not be the word here but economic transparency. And this is what is surely lacking lacking in lately.. With cryptocurrency, there will be more economical transparency, trust, accountability and effectiveness in every sectors.

I think the freedom that they are talking about the freedom to transact online without giving your personal information. Cryptocurrency gives that freedom, unlike paypal thay has all the records of your transactions including your personal data which I think is dangerous fir someone who wants to be a very private person.

I am not sure that bitcoin can liberate people in the way that you speak of. I believe that even with the improvements that bitcoin has made it will still struggle when it comes to decentralization. BUT (and it's a big but) it is infinitely better than the current system. People are able to control their own funds and be free from the inflationary decisions that are enforced on them when they hold fiat currencies.
inflation and deflation often occur in cryptocurrency because of the many factors that affect its value. maybe in terms of technology to democratize sociaty better but will it really be a solution

Bitcoin itself will not be able to make a person financially independent.Perhaps the introduction of blockchain technology on which bitcoin is built will make a person really free. And it's not about finances. As you have correctly noticed that a large share of crypto-currency is on the exchanges and is purely speculative.Perhaps at the moment it is a transition time inherent to everything new and unknown.

Freedom from being centralized by the government, and freedom from those banks who cheating on us ever since. Yes, there’s a cryptoexchange but they cannot control the whole market because they are just a place to buy and sell, there’s a lot more reason for us to be thankful about cryptocurrency because of this its easy now to transfer money and many more usage.

see the future of bitcoin is bright, I think if we start now, with users who are still minimal, then later if a lot of bitcoin is needed by many people, of course the price will soar and we will get a lot of profit from it
