Japan is a very advanced country and its technology is global, and in japanese state of sleep is very little, this is what makes the country japan in the know the technology, and not surprising that the first known bitcoin in the world comes from japanese named Satoshi Nakamoto.

Bitcoin isn't a scam its legit guys, a cryptocurrency to be exact.
