Actually even I saw this article shared in twitter feed and i was shocked that people really don't know anything about the cryptocurrency and Bitcoin in detail so that they can provide a good value in their article and I am also thinking how could one write an article in a reputed websites without any rock strong values and deeper knowledge about the topic. This can really put people's mind in a dilemma whether to trade the bitcoins or not.

This article has about the same amount of substance to back up his opinion as the ones on many sites that claim that BTC will be worth and goes to show you that there are those on both sides of the BTC value that just espouse speculative value to espouse speculative value.

Why bitcoin may soon be worth nothing:

I thought we’d finally get rid of bitcoin. But the fake “currency,” which I like to call bitcon, just won’t fade away.

Bitcoin’s price rallied to over $6,600 yesterday, but it had been well under $6,000 last week. Even at $6,600, bitcoin is still worth 70 percent less than it was at the beginning of the year.

I use the term “worth” cautiously because bitcoin is really worth nothing, since it’s backed by nothing or no one. It’s a confidence game that has value only because people are convincing other people that it’s worth something.

Got it! Ponzi scheme. Confidence game. Fraud.

Anyway, bitcoin is headed for a value of zilch. It’s only a matter of when.

Bitcoin may soon be worth nothing because the value is dropping, users interests were listed as the lowest of all. Bitcoin is dropping because there are better coin out there that also has a good future like bitcoin before.

Dont believe it really. Technically bitcoin is backed up by multi billions dollars and million more investors every other year. I guess this promotion will also rise dramatically faster now as the bitcoin is getting more popularity with its good and bad news events lately. This maths is fix and no one can change it. Those who says its not backed up with anything are the one who dont really see its depth and how everything started! You should be seeing this because bitcoin is backed up with real money that floods into it. The real world goes crazy when it moves, I guess the story need to be re-written on that matter.  Cheesy

Bitcoin is a good coin nowadays. It has strong growth momentum. I expect it will grow at the end of this year. This is a great opportunity for you to invest and earn more

It's possible that bitcoin will worth nothing in the future, but that future is way too far yet. And if bitcoin dies, another coin will dominate the market again. So much disappointments for the one who wrote the article, He/she will probably die 1st before the bitcoin worth nothing.

How many people, so many opinions. Some say that bitcoin has no future. Others 5 years ago buried bitcoin, but nevertheless bitcoin is alive and will continue to live. This is an asset that has gone a long way in 10 years and has shown so many people what it can and how fast it can rise. This is the most volatile asset that is available in the 21st century. Neither oil nor gold can match its rapid rise and fall.

Most of the people that make this kind of statement have not really spend time to study the concept they are talking about or the are looking at one side of the concept. I do not doubt the fact that bitcoin have it own disadvantages, there is nothing on earth the do not have it disadvantages. Just tell the person to go through the internet and look for the advantages of bitcoin. the individual will definitely know that bitcoin worth alot and is here to salvage the whole world from financial bondage.

Her analysis is what's happening now. It does not look at its past prices in recent years and how much bitcoin has raised the price. Bitcoin is backed by people who believe it! So it is now bitcoin, formerly used only in gaming points. And it will continue to increase the price for the continued acceptance of these people and of course the governments.

I realy don't know why people every article they read find relevant. Not every news you read is actual news and don't forget that news often can be manipulated, especialy when they refer to Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general.
Use your critical mind and don't let be influenced by all kind of rubbish.

that is all?

you did not use convincing arguments and you do not show some basis for this very serious charge, you are making a very serious charge and you do not show convincing evidence. No one will take you seriously and about bitcoin is not worth anything, you are wrong, In the future bitcoin will be worth much more, there are many countries and people that will use bitcoin.

Ponzi scheme. Fraud.

Proof?

I think you didn't quite understand the OP. These are the exact words of John Crudele, a NY Post columnist. OP only quoted the text from the NY Post article. The journalist obviously holds a grudge against Bitcoin and this 'article' is nothing more than a personal attack. Objective journalism has turned into subjective one  Grin

Good news to reduce the interest of insiders buying bitcoin. Then how much reward do you get for making this kind of news? Are you also part of those who want the bitcoin value down, then expect to buy as much bitcoin as possible when the price is low?

I think it's just click bait because the actual text isn't very long and doesn't give any explanation.

Absolutely. The "journalists" of these click bait articles always win, because when Bitcoin's on the rise it's an article about how it'll go to $30,000 in no time, and when Bitcoin's on the slide it's an article about how the end is near.

I always read the negative articles because I want to see if any of them make a complete argument...none of them do. They always omit the reasons why it could take off, therefore the real answer is "wait and see".

even during rise we see FUD because bitcoin is not on the rise 24/7 even in a bull market like last year that price was going up we have had drops (corrections to be exact) and if you check the news history versus price history you can see that during each dip we had a lot of FUD about how bitcoin is going to fail and die, blah blah Cheesy
that has to tell you enough about the main purpose of 90% these articles.

it seems like these days people keep sharing their wishes and call them "analysis" and pretend their wish is a prediction of the future. if for example they wish for the price to come down so they can buy to make profit then they say price will fall and then try to come up with any reason they can think of to back it up. the same is true with the ridiculous rises but at least "rise" is more realistic than these doomsday topics because rise will eventually happen.

bitcoin is not valuable, meaning bitcoin will die. do you think this market condition is a sign of bitcoin will be destroyed quickly?

finally, we can not accept bitcoin death, because bitcoin volatility always creates a bullish market, we just wait time.

your topic has no strong foundation, so your topic is just making speculation without conclusion.
