I used VPN before, and the problem also appears after disabling it. It seems a problem with my country I guess, I don't in another device, but when I check on another explorer like Blockchain, com, I get the same problem even use or without VPN.

I don't clear cache and cookies atm.
Well, use a different browser than the one you are currently using, delete caches and cookies for your current browser, or try to use a VPN other than the one you are using, and it must be popular and good, or use another device or another Internet provider, and if all this does not work, use another explorer as mentioned by @Potato Chips, for me, Blockchair.com has been working well for ages, and I've never really encountered that annoying captcha problem, But in many cases before, I encountered on other sites when I was using a weak VPN and connected to a country with a weak connection speed.

because I try to open my bookmark with IDR and there is nothing problem with my side before. And, I had checked today and any currency has been resolved Maybe someone has reported this problem.

Just tried this and everything worked fine as well.

What VPN did you use? assuming it's paid and reputable, perhaps you just need to play around with the location/servers in your settings. That's what I do if I encounter annoying captchas on websites and I solve my problem in a minute or less.

You could also try other block explorers like trezor's (https://btc1.trezor.io/) if they fit your use case. From what I see, they also have your currency - IDR.

I confirm that this error occurs on my side, but the extension works well.
I am surprised why no one has reported this problem, as it appears as soon as you choose any currency other than USD.

It doesn't asks me for any captcha on my end. But when I try to search for some random address, it loads slowly. So, I guess that there's really a problem on them, on their server.

Do you use a VPN?

Have you tried to change your IP through resetting your modem?

And, today I still got 400 bad requests in a bookmark. this is happening since this thread was created.
this makes me can't check my balance price in IDR as I did before.
Since when and you are getting this error message?

Since a day before this was created. I must be resolving many time captchas before, and suddenly got 400 bad requests, and still happens until today.

I bookmarked that explorer linked to my address, so I did that because I just want know if get received my signature payment in btc. (I converted on IDR also)

but, this bad request seem has gone after I copied back my address into box explorer if convert to USD

Well, this changes things.

I can confirm I'm getting the same error if I change the currency from USD to EUR and hit the homepage link in the logo.
Since I assume there are no cookies left and this grabs the currency by IP locator (in this case whatever tor node) it won't keep your default INR, so yeah, it's a bug on their side. Unfortunately, I can't test right now with a tor browser or even with multiple VPNs but it gave me something to do later in the afternoon.

Hmm, it seems that after getting the error even going directly to a balance
blockchair(dot)com/bitcoin/address/whatever

LE:
F****, Everything is giving an error and I had to go to the setting page from my history to change it back to us now works perfectly.
So yeah, a site bug, nothing to do with tor this time as I can replicate it with a "clean" dedicated IP.

Bitcointalk employs a captcha but no one asked if it's being hacked,

yes seem like an error in my side, i used safari, which always blocked another explorer such as blockchain.com.
Captcha was always solved, but asked me again to solve a new captcha, it was repeated many times, without stoping.

And, today I still got 400 bad requests in a bookmark. this is happening since this thread was created.
this makes me can't check my balance price in IDR as I did before.

I just got from the morning, i don't what happens, is blockchair.com being hacked?

If I'm not mistaken, the current CAPTCHA system can check users' browsing activity and if they find something a bit unusual or suspicious, usually the CAPTCHA system will verify whether the user is really a human or a robot. Therefore only some users get CAPTCHA verification and some don't. Even though this slightly intrudes on the privacy of users, there is nothing the platform can do to prevent their sites from DDOS or other suspicious activity.

Bitcointalk employs a captcha but no one asked if it's being hacked,

Quote
CAPTCHA (Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart) is a type of security measure known as challenge-response authentication.

I prefer sites to have a captcha because it's a sign that the site takes care of its security and they want people to be confident and trust their platform, captcha is not a sign that it is being hacked, its a sign that the site is secured from bots and hackers, sometimes captchas are annoying but it's necessary to protect the site.

I have been using it as my main bitcoin block explorer for about two years, and I do not remember that the site asked me to solve captcha.

Perhaps the times that captcha appeared to me here are more than the times that appeared to me with that explorer (which is zero times)
So why not use their Chrome extension ----> https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/blockchair/fhhkkooikehnkaodebbfnkinedlllcfk  as that might solve the problem although I think the reason that appears to u is because you are using a spammy proxy.

I can definitely understand why you'd be worried, but there could be several different reasons why captchas are showing up so frequently.

So, it's worth noting that captcha is a common security measure that many websites use to protect themselves from bots and other malicious activity.

And, it's likely Blockchair.com just increased their captcha requirements to keep their site secure.

I also won't answer too far because it concerns website security so it has nothing to do with crypto.

[Nope]No hype delivers more than hope
I got the same thing last 2 days but not anymore now. I think their captcha verification was triggered by the increased site traffic as more users watched their address because it looks like bitcoin is showing a bullish sign.

I just got from the morning, i don't what happens, is blockchair.com being hacked?

Having a security feature does not mean that it is being hacked its a protection from DDOS and every website should have one, it's protection from bots, you know some scammers will give you threats of attack if you did not give them money, so as a  webmaster this is a protection and a cheap and good one instead of succumbing to threats from hackers.

I am not a blockchain.com user again since many years ago, I do not know if the app or site do bring up captcha or not,

we are not talking about the blockchain.com service here, it is in the subject as well as in the part of the text that you quoted.

captchas means not a site was hack it's for website's security why would hacker place captcha on site.

Exactly, why would a hacker add a captcha when it would be in their interest to let more people access the site for data mining or phishing?

Blockchair always had one if you used TOR or you did multiple queries, even for VPNs, if you try to play around with their explorer (which has a ton of options, probably the best one around) it triggers one. I've never encountered a captcha on my normal ISP IP, but a lot of times on tor. If you use a free VPN that is easily abused and already has most of its IPs blacklisted no wonder it will be the same.

There are many sites that are using captcha to protect their site, it is usually used by legit sites very well.

I am not a blockchain.com user again since many years ago, I do not know if the app or site do bring up captcha or not, but like you said, it is like it is new for you, likely you are accessing the site with with Tor or VPN. I do noticed especially when I am using VPN (which is the one I used often), there are many sites and even Google search engine that bring up captcha to solve, but while using my ISP for the internet connection, I see no captcha.

But you should know that you wallet is not hacked, solving captcha is often used by some legit websites.

Captcha is part of solutions to avoid DDos attack but it will require using third-party service. It damages your privacy but to avoid DDos attack, it seems there is no alternative solution.

How does Captcha mitigate DDos attack?
