What i know,  KYC means Know Your Customer ! Bounty hunters are there to Support ICO Project to spread the word about the project .. BUT as soon as the Project manager mention KYC then many  Hunter run away  ! Why? Is it  because  people  don't want review their identity  for security  reason  or people  are joining campaign  with bot software ..

Obviously, it is not easy to hand out your identity for something that might not even have value. Security reason is not the only reason why bounty hunters run away. KYC should not be compulsory for bounty hunters as they only help to spread the word about the project, some bounty managers also use kyc to curb multiple account usage too, but KYC is really a high risk.

Most hunters avoid KYC because worry on ID safety. Like or not, KYC will be a standard in cryptocurrency space and its needed to comply government regulation. But in others side, crypto is about the freedom to hide our identity and this is should apply in ICOs. But mostly, bounty that require KYC is more legit.

I think most of the bounty hunters are hate KYC system is it because they think it might steal their private identity, their are just a bounty hunter not an investors. Bounty hunters are some of them are lacking of documents also that is why they hate KYC.

Since many campaigns do not warn about this in advance, but only after the end of participation, when all the work has already been done and the bounty hunters have no choice but to send their documents to get tokens.

Some of them have a sad experience when you send your documents, and then you find out that the project is a scam, as a result your documents may appear on the black market, so you should be very careful when choosing a campaign.

what I know is that the bounty hunters left the project they supported after the KYC news, the reason for one of them was because they did not want their data to be told to the people behind the project, because there is no guarantee for our own data security.
except if the future government contributes to the ICO project can make regulations for every new project that will emerge and every project under the legal umbrella of the government, we as bounty hunters will definitely not worry anymore if there is a KYC system to get results from our work in supporting the project that is.

The problem is with the government that needs ID verified members on every financial platform and some of these platforms are abusing it and selling IDs on the black market. You do not have problem with that thing?

If anyone needs to provide KYC then it should be the ICO/STO team members and their investors. Bounty hunters work is to promote through social sites and forum, web design, contents creating. Know Your Customer (KYC) procedure is intended for investors and it's frustrating that they are all trying to give bounty hunters this pain of taking risk of exposing their private data to some organisation or people who may sell those information for bad purpose.

I did a small research and 90% of normal living people are afraid of identity verification. They accept identity verification only by a bank and not by some random "company" on the internet  Roll Eyes.

I think that every person appreciates anonymity in the world of cryptocurrency. That is why people do not like KYC . It deprives them of anonymity.

People who do not neglect the safety of storage of their personal data and information to the issue of passing the KYC procedure are negative.
And this decision to avoid KYC finds its explanation and is quite reasonable.

Yes, basically KYC is not a problem, but those who have a lot of bots are upset. I do not like KYC only when I am informed about him late and I do not have time to go

Maybe everyone has a different opinion about KYC procedures. I don't think they are completely runaway because they have to do KYC. However, each Bounty project has a different policy and sometimes they change policies at will. Like the Bounty project which says if there is no KYC, what happens when the Bounty is finished, they are required to do KYC.

I don't feel comfortable with sharing personal info to receive bounty reward and last project I participated I wasn't rewarded because of this. What I really hate here is when they say there won't be KYC and then they say KYC is required to receive tokens. Another thing is, when bounty hunters don't do kyc, do their stakes go to other bounty hunters or to team?

maybe because 50% of the projects are scams and if I want my private documents to be sold in the Darknet, then I'd rather do it by myself.  Wink

Bounty hunters do not want to transfer their personal data to unknown persons, but there are cases when the KYC procedure is problematic or impossible due to some formalities with documents (lack of a foreign passport or driver's license)

Because there is some country who has their law which is illegal to submit that national identification.
another is EVADING privacy, we are in blockchain where we are anonymous and now KYC is changing it.
there are no benefit for the KYC in the side of bounty nor investors but only for the ICO TEAM.

Many bounty hunters are reluctant to pass KYC (Know Your Customer) for the bounty, as there is no guarantee that your data wouldn't be sold to third party or leaked to others. These days, personal data is very important.

people hate KYC because the risk is very high, the team can use the ID's in illegal works that is why people avoid passing their personal identity and by passing KYC there is no assurance that the team will pay you in the end, maybe if they will pay the participants when they asking for KYC, all the participants will submit it.

For bounty hunters, the KYC procedure is probably not needed in many cases. This is very inconvenient. The ICO team should make a distinction between investors and bounty hunters.

Kyc for Bounty participants is not needed, but if the Bounty Manager's or the team behind the projects is detected that their is cheating happened in their Campaigns we cannot do anything if they want the participants to perform KYC because that is their rules and we need to follow it.
