China was heaven IMHO because they tried to become a leader in this industry. Later the situation become more clear and China started to regulate different aspects.

I can not say for sure, but since the first time the Chinese government has banned the use of Bitcoin in their country. I think China's government is not able to control Bitcoin in the country. They think it protects their personal interests. They think Bitcoin and cryptocurrency threaten their country's economy. Many people in China use it to bring money from the country, which the Chinese government does not like.
I don't see a way how censorship ran China could be pro crypto currency as they're limiting their citizens to $50k worth max outgoing transactions from China abroad. If they pledge for crypto, they will be never able to control transactions going out of China. It simply doesn't make sense for them to support bitcoin. I wish I was wrong tho

Yes.They can ban bitcoin in their country,but they can't stop the usage of bitcoin in their country. Still now many people are investing in bitcoin from China.After the ban of bitcoin in China,bitcoin reach the value of 19,000.So I think still Chinese are involved in cryptocurrency trading and investing.The government of china can't control their citizen.

This is one of many reasons why the Chinese govt don't like Bitcoin. Another one is the same for most 3rd World Countries that ban Bitcoin which is that it can't be taxed. No tax = no govt funds.
