I was simply speaking in broad strokes and wasn't referring to the OP's situation, but you're correct that the OP's case is the consequence of mass reporting on his post history; I'm sure all of his posts were reported for deletion, but he was lucky that the moderator left him with 14 posts and he didn't get nuked in the process.
Does it means if someone post got deleted entirely by moderators there are every possibilities that such person account is likely to get knocked down? And if that is the case why op still posting without knocking down entirely.,or could it be that his post hasn't go against the forum rules.

There have been instances where posts were deleted mistakenly, and the mods publically apologised; they are not flawless, and they make mistakes from time to time. What good are Activity points if you don't have the necessary merit to rank up?

It would be a different story if Op possessed the necessary qualities to advance to the next level but had his activity curtailed or deranked as a result of post deletion.
Yeah.. let say that is by mistake but I don't think a mod could just get all post deleted without knowing such post doesn't worth it. If is only one or two post that was deleted for the period of 7-2 months according to op then we can say it might be a mistake but, it is natural to know that the post doesn't carry the required quality. Even me as well when I was actually trying to create some post and increase my quality I often find out that my post are being deleted but that doesn't mean my post is extremely good, although to me it worth a lot but to the eyes of the mod it can be considered none worthy post so they may evaluate the post and decide to delete.
I think that's what happened with op's post then if you watch from ninjastic you will also get more details why his post were deleted especially to know the quality of the post.

I just got on my bitcointalk account and saw I had a bunch of messages saying a mod deleted my posts from 7-2 months ago. None of these posts look like they violate any rules so I thought it was odd. Is there any reason for this?

Sometimes you don't need to violate the rules before your post can be deleted by the moderator, it can be that you made a mistake in the sense that you didn't arrange you post properly, like in my case, when I newly joined the Forum, my post was not well arranged especially when I tried quoting someone, the whole thing was just not too ok for it to be included in other post so the mod deleted it to avoid spamming or something like that.

Or did you lose some activity points because of it?  That's the only real reason I can think of why this thread exists.  Answer that honestly.
The truth is always bitter, sincerely speaking when a member is trying to post to increase in their activities and they noticed a deletion of post it get them weird especially when they are thinking of ranking up to next level. It's actually sucking to see post are being deleted otherwise I don't see any reason for this thread to exist and to start asking about their post deletion. Usually we all knows that if anyone of our post got deleted is because of low quality or as a results of spamming, so op I will asked you to improved in your post quality to avoid further deletion.

Moderators are human just like us. Many of my posts were deleted in the past and I think they do delete my posts regularly. I used to look back in the past but now I don't care that much. I feel better to ignore and let them do their work. I don't think any moderator have any personal problem with anyone, even if they have, I don't think it will effect in their moderation job.

Sweetheart, most of us with infinite activity points don't care about it any longer, but it's been a long time since mod deleted my posts, except for the ones I reported for deletion.

first thread is in politics.

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/2200-rockets-shot-at-israel-40-killed-5469546

And even though I was annoyed at the mods decision to move the first thread I can see why he did it.

The second thread Is likely getting too many answers that are political rather than economical as people are at a fever pitch and do not look at this like I do:

Both sides are played and tricked into fighting so that governments will make laws to stop terror which into hurts crypto.

I see it as a simple extension of the military industrial complex taking freedom from us all and attacking crypto as a threat to their money making.

There is nothing anyone can do. This happens a lot. Threads get moved, and the campaign manager won't count them as valid posts. Not only that, some users would delete their own posts to match merits and activity. Although doing this gains them nothing, But they delete them anyway. If one made a mistake or made low-quality posts, it is justifiable to delete them to make their account more clean. But deleting an entire thread with 2–3 pages of comments is literally the work of a fool. It really annoys me. If you always wanted to delete, then why make one in the first place?
This means you are telling the op to move on right? That's the same thing for me. I see no reason why some users make a mountain out of a molehill sometimes. These things occur all the time and the mod had a reason to have his post deleted but he didn't check properly to know why, all he thought was maybe the mod had a personal beef with him.

Maybe for the fun of it. There's a certain kick some of them get by just seeing their posts and activities at par with each other. I guess if it where possible to also streamline the merits, who knows..

This sounds like you make ample posts so don't hear stories that touches the heart Cheesy. But that is an advice I'd keep in mind when I enter my own campaign...all I'm trying to say is he shouldn't be ruffled by that. Maybe it was only done to call his attention because who knows if he would have noticed if that didn't happen.

Why in the world would anyone start up a thread asking why a bunch of old posts got deleted, especially when those posts were obviously insignificant.
They might think like; the moderator did not act fairly to him. Generally they don't realize what their mistake is – of course it's a different story if the post is deleted by someone who created the topic of self-moderation. I'd also say moderators only deleted posts that aren't important from him - that's fair.

It doesn't matter if a post is 7 months old or 10 days old. As long as it's considered spam, shit, or irrelevant, moderators can delete it. Not just months, even after years.
Of course - but I wouldn't report spam or anything other than something malicious to the forum if I saw this warning when making a report about an old post.

There aren't enough moderators to check every single post one by one. So sometimes one or two posts may go by without anyone noticing. Maybe nobody noticed those posts of yours, or maybe nobody reported your post. That's why it remained undeleted for 7 months.

By the looks of it, you made one-line posts. It didn't look that useful to me, but it was slightly spammy. That may be the reason for the deletation.

If you read the quote below, it means I also had my posts deleted in the past. There's usually a reason why a post is deleted, even if you don't think it's worth deleting. Moderators have their own interpretations in making decisions, so even if your post has been reported, it is not certain that the moderator will delete it. So post deletion always has a reason, so pay attention to the last sentence of the quote below and practice it. That will help you in the future.

I am in a campaign as my mining income is down. I also am in a campaign as I donate to multiple people on the forum.

So I normally do not care when I am deleted or if a thread is moved from a section my campaign won't pay.

I have been in this campaign for 5-6 weeks.

I made 500 plus posts only need 200 to get full pay. But 2 threads were moved to sections my campaign won't pay and I lost about 9 posts. Plus 1 thread was deleted so I lost 3 posts. And those 12 annoyed me as I am now being paid so that could cost me money.  That I am donating to various projects.

So I understand the op's annoyance. At op make them a bit longer as they were pretty much on point but short.

That's the risk of replying to a thread that is posted on the wrong board. But it shouldn't matter, you used to post because you want to, and I assume you still do that.

Most campaign managers check your new posts made in the past week, so deleting older posts reduces your total post count, but shouldn't affect your earnings. Unless the posts were created in the last week of course.

Well sometimes the moves are not that justified other times I can see why they get moved.

I started on thread my self it was moved from economics to politics. I got angry but I simply created a new thread and worded far more economically and it is still in economics as of today. As frankly I wanted the economic effect of the new war on btc to be discussed.
Not the politics of the mideast war. Which I know can confuse people as they are into the politics of it. While I worry about endless KYC restrictions on all coins due to terror activity.

Moderators have the right to delete a post after they would have made an assessment on it and be found deserving to be deleted, they are upto task in the aspect, you're not the one to judge by what you posted to be quality or not, they know if you're off the topic or on point, also, you may consider the content of your post as well being part of the reasons why they got deleted, lastly, have you even considered the numbers bot times members of the forum were the ones being responsible for reporting you post, maybe you need to read more and learn about guides on writing a quality post.

The most common reason is your posts are spam, no value, off-topic and it is not accepted by forum rules.

Another reason is threads in which you posted, was deleted so all posts in those threads including yours, will be trashed too. In this deletion case, you will not get Deletion notification in your inbox.
1. No zero or low value, pointless or uninteresting posts or threads. [1][e]

2. No off-topic posts.

My first post was deleted, in which I mentioned how beneficial it would have been if I had discovered this forum earlier. Had I found it sooner, I could have avoided several mistakes I unknowingly made. This forum offers a wealth of guides for staying safe online, information that would have prevented me from falling victim to cryptocurrency scams twice.

Screenshot of deletion I think it is automated deletion if forum have this type of feature.

He has 14 deleted posts so far, perhaps he was shocked to see that all his garbage from the past was deleted in a quick succession. Either way I don't even see why he made a complaint about it yet it's pretty clear.

It's reasonable to get him Temban or nuked for his rank since he has 14 deleted posts out of 24 total posts, which is already 50% garbage. Most newbies did not receive this kind of opportunity on a golden platter.  He got 2 merits for such a great question. Lol

Low quality posts are often reported by the users because they are mostly considered as spam by those users and when moderators get the reports and go through those posts and find them as spam as well then they delete those posts. Your post were one liner posts and most of the one liner posts are done by the new users because they want to increase their activity with those posts. But, like Philipma1957 has said that your posts weren't too bad, however, I still recommend you to expand your posts a little if you have more information about a topic.

It's not necessary to be extra knowledgeable to expand your posts from one liner to somewhat well structured. You just have to focus more on reading and it's really necessary to read as many posts in a thread as possible before making your posts. Look we all are here for the purpose of learning and then sharing our knowledge in the form of threads and replies and if someone knows more then that user can create well-structured posts.

AFAIK, if moderator consider most of the posts from a newbie is below the standard then the user will be nuked that means all the posts will be deleted which is completely different from handling all the reports manually.
Can you show me which user get nuked due to one liner shitpost (not related to SEO spam, referral link, share malware, etc) in the last 2 years?

I completely understand there's a rule the moderator would ban for shitposting, but until now I don't find the reality of that rule.

I don't have the examples too but that's opinion came from my understanding, and each moderator handle things in their own way so we can't expect same for everyone.

I have been here a long time and have seen more then one mod be heavy handed in deleted and moving threads or posts.

So I have some sympathy for the op that is why I gave him his first merits.

Nuked is where the moderator will ban the user and delete all of his post, @OP is only broke low quality post rule, he will not get nuked/banned even he keep shitposting.

Right now the moderator become more friendly with users in this forum except you ban evading or commit plagiarism, it's a zero tolerance here.

Posts from 7 days - 2 months are still new, you should be happy since the moderator will not clean posts 3 months old now. Before that, even your post were 5 years ago, the moderator will delete is as long as you broke the rule and someone report it.

For a newbie 14 posts is more than enough for the account get nuked, so he should be feeling lucky in my opinion.

Mods generally don't handle old posts for spams but every mod has their own way of handling it at the end of the day keeping the forum clean is their job.

I can stretch this post by explaining that even though both posts I looked at were honest answers. One was an opinion and I agree with it 100%.

So I will give you 2 merits.

Don’t worry about deletions I have had more then 500 of them. Many due to fast glib answers that people report most because of jealousy or angry about their own lives or the truth fullness in the reply I made.

Sometimes the reason why your post is deleted might not be primarily you, but it could be as a result of the thread where you posted getting deleted entirely, and they won't leave your own post behind. Most times, it could also be that you quoted someone who has awakened a long dead thread, and the post is also considered to be of low quality. There is a possibility that both posts can get deleted.

Moderators don't just act for no reason, and people will also be the ones to call to their attention that the post is not qualified to be where you posted it to be, which will warrant those actions.
