Bitcoin goes up, alts go down.

Bitcoin goes down, alts go down.

The alts as a collective will go up when BTC is consolidating or during certain BTC uptrends before they go down again due to selloffs for people to ride BTC.

It's a helluva market.
Most of the cryptocurrencies are decentralized so no one should control the crash it depends on the current news, supply and demands. So try to convey the proper explanation no one should understand your thoughts Bitcoin and altcoins all are same cryptocurrency once Bitcoin is raise automatically altcoins also raise in the market we only support the all cryptocurrencies so Bitcoin is pump again but it take some time.

The reason is the market recieved bad press, mainly because of happenings in the US and Japan.

It started in the US, with the SEC saying platforms serving as venues for digital assets that are securities will need to register with the agency as a national exchange, or qualify for an exemption.

Japan’s Financial Services Agency ordered two exchanges to halt operations for a month and penalized four others yesterday.

This means the regulatories want to have oversight of the industry, and with these actions, caused the market to fall.
If the market falls, almost every coin's value will decrease.

Also, Bitcoin has the largest market cap, and represents the cryptomarket. If it faces criticism, it will go down, and so the value of other coins, as Bitcoin is pretty often used as an intermediary currency between exchanges. This means altcoin rates are rather fixed to BTC, than to fiats.

The crash happen because all crypto currencies already goes very high last year and now its time to set a normal price which will be new support for all marketcap. After consolidation done we will see all new time high but dont expect its done in one week. We probably will see multi year bearish untill btc reach its deep.

It is maybe due to the some news or just a natural correction. Actually technical analysis indicate when it will be a correction.

Did you think  Cryptocurrencies are going through a healthy market correction after a historic bull trend or
Bitcoin is the market leader, it holds the majority of the entire crypto markets capital, (fluctuating between 40–60% usually). So when Bitcoin goes down, most coins go down with it??? Wink
While there is a relationship between bitcoin and alts, we hope that soon it will disappear and the alts will become independent of the movement of their father, then a prognosis is possible to catch up with him at a price.

Arbitrary reasons probably, you never are going to pinpoint exactly why. Price is the toughest thing to figure out because it has so many variables, if I just said it was because of Bitcoin going up that would be naive imo. There is more at play here than just Bitcoin, there are a lot of powerful and influential people that I feel like are calling shots behind the scenes. Could be wrong, but thats how I view it currently.

When Bitcoin pumps altcoins dump. Thats how cryptoworld works. With the recent Bitcoin pump the altcoins were likely going to drop in prices. Don't worry, just wait for Bitcoin to become stable and that's when altcoins will pump.

Rule: if BTC goes up then alts go down because everybody waiting the moon train for btc (selling alts for btc to make profits)

From my experience, alts will go down when BTC go down. Because people split their portfolie into alts and BTC. So when they want to short BTC, then have to sell their alts first, which often gets valued in BTC.  And vice versa (sorry for bad english)

Most exchanges use BTC as the intermediary currency. So BTC has influence on all Altcoins
