What made you pick a particular coin to invest in? Is it one factor or a formula of several?

I bought Bitcoin and Ethereum because they were the most popular. Now I want to invest in one or two others. My first thought was to pick ones that are dedicated to a sector like KodakCoin targeting photographers.

Ed

Another factor to be considered is the roadmap. The question I ask myself most times, whenever I want to invest in a coin is if the developers are following the roadmap.

There are different factors that I'm looking on a coin before I invest on it. First is the market supply. If they have fewer supply, there is a tendency for a higher profit. Next is the developer, they should be trustworthy, reliable and dedicated to the project. Another thing is their road map. Does the project's projection is achievable or near reality? Lastly, the whitepaper. Everything about the project is written there.

I always go for a solid foundation, like good features and good devs. Preferably with a fair coin distribution.

You are right. The success of a coin most times depend on the developers.
Also, for community coins, the  community can also help in the success of a coin.

I like the privacy coin market, but the factor that makes my choice very easy is the involvement of the community to further the project together. The project is DeepOnion, what the dev and mods have done the past 6 months are amazing.

You have to love it, Just HODL it has great potential

This is the hardest thing to do, choosing the right coin to invest with. Before you come up to a decision you must done several studies technically and fundamentally for you not to loose money. Well in cryptoworld we can easily notice whic one is good or which one is just a waste of time. I choose coins based on the result of my study, I don’t just depend on any news about it, always equip your mind with the right information.

Bitcoin ofcourse is the less volatile coin of the two you invested in. Ethereum is the 2nd best coin according to market cap.
I personally invested in Ripple about a year ago when it was around 0.20$ and i sold some of it at 3.10$. I believe it was the best investment i made so far, it takes some faith that you will do well, and in most cases some luck too.

When I make a decision whether invest in a coin or not I look at it's market capitalization, growth rate, stability and it's specifications like fees, speed and supports of different tools and technologies. If to sum up all there factors, Ethereum seems to me the best choice for now. If you don't have enough money for it, Cardano can be a good choice as well.

The popularity of a currency can help in the investment, because we will only surf in the wave of the moment, but reality must be coherent , for example BitConnect and Ripple are famous, but their growths are suspect, but not always the fame of currency is the way to invest, in relation to the photographic sector is interesting, but the energy sector is a promising one.

Perhaps you should check the development of the coin if there are innovations for this will affect the crypto community's interest over such coins. Being widely traded on exchanges is also an important factor to consider knowing that it is showing potential growth.

I think Ethereum is now investing in the future. In particular, you can choose to invest in some substantive and landing applications. These are all future encrypted currencies. Such as KodakCoin can be invested.

Well btc and eth are a givem if you want a sure long term investment. Those two along with the top ten alts are pretty profitable if you're not in a hurry and are willing to hold. For me, just simply running through forums and discussions give me ideas on what coins to look out for. Then of course a little research after that

Thank you! I had lost all hope of a Hero Member of this forum saying that Ethereum can provide a long term investment profit LOL. I agree, those are the "less risky" coins, even though nothing is really stable.

i have been buying bitcoin for a couple of years now because i find it useful and i believe that a "decentralized digital cash" which is the definition of bitcoin is something that i want to be using. whether it is now or it is in the future when it is more adopted.

so far i have not seen the same thing in any of the altcoins and what they offer seems to me more like a short term potential that vanishes as fast. which is why i have been investing in them with this view and only hold them for a very short time during their pumps.
so the way i choose them is by looking for pumps. which is usually looking for a big price rise or some upcoming hype that they team is advertising.

I choose a coin based on observations for several days, usually if I want to pick a good coin, I monitor how the coin chart, a few days if it feels satisfied and in accordance with my monitoring, then I will buy the coin. , that's trending me
