Actually, only Satoshi knows why he hides, we just guess the reasons. However, he must do it as the best option to secure Bitcoin and himself. Creating Bitcoin attracts the attention of governments around the world and fiat fanatics. They can plan to stop Bitcoin at any time by catching the creator and accusing him of crimes. There has been too much bad news about Bitcoin in the past, including the issue of terrorist financing. If Satoshi declares himself, we probably cannot see Bitcoin exist till today.

Satoshi Nakamoto the founder of Bitcoin is the famous name in this century. His revolutionary invention facilitate world's economic currency system. He is our pride. But why do he hide himself? Reputation is supposed to roll at his feet. Many people come to the campaign claiming to be Satoshi Nakamoto.
There are lots of Faketoshis around trying to claim out that theyre Satoshi but still failed to give out some solid proofs.Okay lets talk about Satoshi itself why he hid himself into the shadows.
First of all we dont even know if hes still alive or not but to mind off on how revolutionary the creation that he had made then it would be still putting his life in danger considering
that he made out something which is totally opposing centralazation which simply means or shows off that government would be the main enemy and we know on whats
next with that.

Satoshi making himself anonymous was one of the best moves he made.  Satoshi was clearly very smart and calculated when it came to how he set everything up.  By making himself anonymous and made sure that there was no "central figure" behind bitcoin.  This was it didn't look like bitcoin had a CEO , so to speak.  This kept bitcoin a coin truly of the people.  This is kinda like why Charlie Lee sold most of his litecoin, so that there was a central figure over the coin holding large bags.  I think this was a very smart move by satoshi personally.

This is a good way to reason on the disappearance of Satoshi. Perhaps he wanted real freedom which bitcoin gives and that is why no government has been able to stop bitcoin.

Or have we also thought that if Satoshi was made public or presented himself to the world as the founder of this financial revolution breezing everywhere, he might have been arrested by these security agencies all over the place, the likes of FBI, CIA etc and perhaps taken to ICC for an allegation of conscripting his own currency and maybe ending up in jail and the noble dream dies off. This is my loud thinking and most reasonable to be thought for whatever reason Satoshi went under is for the revolution to be achieved.

Not many people realize that what Satoshi created is basically a threat to banking and today's financial system. Also, not many people realize that fame isn't always good, and it's exhausting to be a famous personality as people constantly try to know things about you, and you will always have to deal with lots of institutions asking for interviews and whatnot to explain for your creation. And, bitcoin is a cryptocurrency. It is supposed to support anonymity, and it's logical that its creator remains unknown too, as some of its aspect revolves around being anonymous.

Not everyone is hungry for the fame.
Satoshi might have predicted the future that Bitcoin will become a threat to the government, and so Satoshi choses not to surface after he thought Bitcoin is about to boom.
Being a decentralised asset is something a government cannot control, and that's something the government hates. So yeah it's safe to say that Satoshi knew it already.

Bitcoin would not have happened if he were public.
People would not have wanted to support any individual, no matter how good, as it would seem like they were the person, rather than the idea of bitcoin.
Hiding himself was an amazing marketing technique, and took quite a bit of selflessness to not try to get the prestige from that.

On top of that, he would open himself up to every sort of criticism, legal challenge, harassment and extortion. Frankly, that doesn't sound fun, at all.
The criticisms of bitcoin would be pointed towards him: It would be *his* Ponzi scheme. *He* ruined the climate. *He* has whatever ideological views. There would be constant press against him.
The legal challenges would be from nations/states, who might even create laws outlawing the creation of a currency. People who claim that they lost bitcoin to him, or the appearance of value.
The harassment could be from any number of angles, with extortion being the largest one. Extortion and threats of violence were attempted against Hal Finney and his family. Imagine if Bticoin becomes the global reserve currency: this would be a person that could crash economic markets based on a whim, which would be an incredible risk to leave unattended (but also not unmitigable, .

The world isn't a simple good or bad place but a mixture. Bitcoin is necessary because the world isn't always fair, and some times downright ugly. Bitcoin is an attempt to make the world just a little bit more fair. Because the world isn't always pretty or fair is the reason why a Satoshi would probably have wanted to hide themself. Bitcoin being succesful and Satoshi being unknown (at least during its development) go hand in hand.

If he had revealed him, surely government would've kept him under house arrest. Because, he had paved the path for a revolutionary monetary system which shows the bad about the traditional payment system. Another thing, he might be kept in control by the government to create something similar. Beyond this he himself isn't interested on fame, while more fake Satoshi's claim themselves as Satoshi. Important thing just on revealing his identity nothing gets changed in the network. It runs of its own as now.

Maybe he wasn't looking for such attention? Attention is not always the best thing. But it is a good thing that he didn't reveal himself. This made the whole currency truly decentralized. Had he revealed himself, he would have been considered the main leader of bitcoin. Any decision he would make would have a huge impact on bitcoin. People would blindly support him. The price could be easily controlled by him. Bitcoin doesn't need any single leader, everyone leads the network. I guess for all these reason, Satoshi kept him/themselves anonymous forever.

You should have ask yourself why want Satoshi to come in public for proper and official announcement of being the real Satoshi nakamoto of all cryptocurrencies, many people has claimed to be the one so that Satoshi will use the anger to make a declaration of himself, but Satoshi have high intelligent to control and understand the derivative of an ordinary one, if Satoshi declear himself to be the real one, it will directly going to receive attack from the government and he will enter into a bottom problem government of federation

Bitcoin itself is a "controversial" invention. For mine explanation: there is nothing completely good or completely evil.
Very basic example, like FIAT cash, you can pay an hitman or pay a charitable community.... As you know you can buy "everything" or "any kind of service".... both good application or evil application.
Even some services are good for some people but bad as evil for other people. It's really hard (probably impossible) find something that not has this double nature Smiley

May not be a he,. Could be a she, them, whatever it is the world would always be grateful for this innovation called Bitcoin, I think the reason for the anonymity is private and may be not really necessary to reveal an identity, everything was well organized, and from research with going oblivion alot of changes and correction was made, satoshi was very active on this forum and had dropped post and instructions that would be immortalized I think it was well planned out and so far knowing his/her or their identity is not necessary.

That's how to recognise true genius, he/she doesn't want his name or identity to be lauded, still his name and reputation can not be forgotten, from generation to generation he/she will be mentioned through the technology they create, the reputation of satoshi supercedes him.
For some people this would have been the perfect gateway to fame but satoshi wants no part of it, he/she prefers to be anonymous, he/she should have learn being fame from Musk Wink

We don't know who is Satoshi Nakamoto that can be a person, a group, a government-backed agency, foundation, etc. It is not accurate to call Satoshi Nakamoto as he.

We don't know real reasons why Satoshi Nakamoto disappeared years ago. Account on the forum is satoshi has last active day on 13 December 2010. Assumption is Satoshi abandoned the community for goods but we don't know the truth. Because many things can happen and one of which is death or any accident. Skip reasons of this disappearance, we see good things it brings to Bitcoin community and it is enough for us.

Of course as a person who love Bitcoin, I wish best for Satoshi Nakamoto.

He doesn't need recognition for his work, it's very simple just know satoshi is the developer of bitcoin and he is a great creator today without the need for his personal life, without the need for where he came from and without the need for him to be one person or group.
just enjoy the work he makes and don't bother him whoever it is I don't think it's necessary because everyone has their own privileges and satoshi might not want people to know about his real identity.

Imagine if the US government finds out who created Bitcoin, a currency that actually has the potential to somewhat overthrow the US dollar(or fiat currencies in general) someday; and that they can't really effectively ban. That alone is one very major reason for Satoshi to remain anonymous.

Only one answer is that he is not crazy reputation. He knows what he has to leave behind and doesn't have to say who he really is. It doesn't matter if the world looks for him because for him what he left behind has great benefits for the development of the world today. Not a few of what he left behind has increased economic welfare, especially those of us who will never forget his services.

Precisely with the anonymity he has maintained until now makes us feel better that way.

Trust me, it will only end up being laughed at and still never be acknowledged. Do not read too much mainstream media news that will only make you more confused to believe who is wrong and who is right. Sometimes the media provide news to make you twist the facts.

There is a lot of speculation about who Satoshi Nakamoto is but until now no one knows about his whereabouts and its accurate truth, it might not be solved forever.
or maybe because he doesn't want to be better known for respecting his privacy and leaving it as it is, and more importantly what Satoshi Nakamoto has left us with is blockchain technology and protocols for revolutionary digital currencies.

I am surprised that so far no one has mentioned the legal issue. The ability to issue currency is reserved by states to themselves or to a few entities to whom they give authorization, the central banks. You cannot create a new currency in your country and put it into circulation with the intention that people will use it instead of the official one.

Satoshi created Bitcoin as a currency to challenge governments and central banks.I suppose if Satoshi had identified himself publicly, and more so at the beginning, he would have been called to testify, at the very least, and he could have ended up in jail. Another thing is that today there are already thousands of cryptocurrencies but they are considered financial assets by the public authorities, not currencies.

Say what?? I'm surprised as a Hero member to see you say this.  There is no legal issue for many countries, and even those just started not too long ago for those countries who banned bitcoin or other crypto coins.  Bitcoin wasn't issued as a currency just for a single country or one that was trying to mimic a states fiat currency.  In most countries this is not an issue or against the law what so ever.  Have you seen say Charlie Lee or Vitalik being called to testify and getting in trouble? No, you haven't.

Also most cryptocurrencies are not considered financial assets.  You have some faulty info here.
