You just answer your own question to be honest. That might be one of the factors but I think there's a lot of it and it differs from individuals because others might say it's about the money, the others will say it's about the joy they get while gambling, there's no definite answer to it. One more thing, it's not the easiest way to make money, it's likely the opposite and it's to lose money.

Not really. And I would say that it is mainly the money that attracts people, the entertainment is a side effect, not something you look for when you first decide to gamble. Eventually when you know what it's all about, you can dedicate a small part of your budget to gambling as many of us do, partly for entertainment and partly because you have a chance of making some money that week.

To this I would add that this is what people think, but it's not very easy to hit a big jackpot, and usually by the time people hit it they've already spent more money than they got out of it, if you take into account all the sessions. 99.99% of gamblers lose money in their lifetime if you add up everything they bet and everything they win.

Another thing to add is that they are looking to make a lot of money with little effort, because setting up a successful business or having a very well paid salaried job and building up their wealth through savings and investment requires a much greater effort than gambling on slots or other games.

It's true because most newbies and greedy people are fall to make money through gambling.

But for an experienced gambler, he know if he's high likely will lose in gambling and wouldn't make money through gambling, so the main reason why he's gambling is to kill his boredom and for entertainment. If you're a gambler and want to minimize your lose, it's better if you gamble on sports where you can't constantly keep gambling.

Mostly for entertainment, rarely just for "scoring" a big hit because they "really need it." You would be surprised how many people play it just for the fun factor, but the thing is, we always hear about those edge cases where people are serious gamblers who lost/gain huge amounts of money.

When you think about it who would talk about stories/people who just had fun playing a couple of rounds and depositing like 50€ weekly, whilst having a good financial background? That would be a boring story Cheesy

Most of the people here engaged to gambling simply because of the belief that this is a way to be rich.
