When the shorters want to make profit, they will spread bad news about the bitcoin so that price will be lower. I will buy more when the price is low.
i also buy when the price is lower, it usually means that the price of the bitcoin is going to grow a lot later so it would allow me to make some good profit easily

When price starts falling people with negative mindsets starts spreading rumors that bitcoin is dead and it will not survive in long run and I think we should ignore those people.

At this point, I don't think bitcoin will actually die unless the US government or other major governments make bitcoin illegal. I just don't see that happening now that we are several years into it.
They just don't see Bitcoin as a threat yet. When they do (and this is a big if, lol), they will start acting, but this is hardly going to happen any time soon. In fact, they don't need to do anything, with exchanges busting here and there, scamming all over the place, it is just a matter of time Bitcoin turns into a marginal project with few die-hard adherents and followers. And then they will celebrate victory...

That could be true. The big whales control some media and lots of forum accounts. So they can manipulate pubic opinion.
Manipulating supply and demand directly is more efficient, less unpredictable, and outright cheaper. Out of curiosity, how do you picture whales controlling a lot of forum accounts?
Are they sitting on forums incessantly switching accounts and posting nonstop what's on their current agenda?
i am actually amazed at the speed and efficiency that prices can change based on nothing at all but a rumor. not so much more BTC itself but other coins. i do a lot of research and work intently on the forums and exchanges and it is funny to watch someone that i know is playing games on a place like yobit and the price of the coin they are pushing rises and rises and the minute that i call them on their shit on the public chat the price drops right back down. i am telling the truth when i chat there, but the right person could throw total bullshit in the mix and affect a coin that easy too

Yes Indeed. Trolling to be exact. I usually encounter this in my trading site where people are saying such shitty words t make the price of their want to dump. Then they are grabbing the opportunity to buy stocks then they will promote the coin for its price o pump. Hmf? Nice but not a clean strategy and troll is not always successful. Many traders/holders now are aware on the happenings on bitcoins making them hard to troll.
I think it is to promote FUD or because they have nothing better to say.
