Actually i am not the one who is using many bitcoin wallets at a time.Yes i do have registered with different wallets to check the features of those but mostly i am using only one wallet that is block.io because it is very simple with no complications and the second one is blockchain.info wallet for me.
maybe they made a lot wallet to make a lot of clone accounts as well .. 
Maybe your right since i seen i thread before in this forum that has many alt accounts but they are still trace because of transactions.. For me i just use one wallet i am using electrum because i think this is the most secured wallet that i experience than online wallets.

People who are holding huge volume of coins will never prefer to keep all their coins at a single place and will go for multiple wallets to diversify their risks, but if you have limited coins then its always good to have them in a single wallet.
i didn't notice or maybe it depends on the user. sometimes they use it to avoid detection on something they're involved.
i've using only two.
I think not to go undetected because if you want you can no longer detectable using other bitcoin address, and it can be done only with one wallet, because the wallet can contain hundreds of addresses? so I think the reason is more than thati've using only two.
people use many bitcoin wallet because they wanted their bitcoin is stored securely, and therefore they have more than one bitcoin wallet. I think that's good
even they use one bitcoin there are secured already but if this really the matter that people are creating so much money i think it just because of gambling ? well i will tell you here in my country you will not allowed to receive bitcoin from any gambling website if they found out that address is from gambling your bitcoin wallet will be locked! then thats the reason why some of my country men are using multiple wallets 
Some people use many Bitcoin wallet specially those people who wants to earn a lot of bitcoin every week for signature campaign plus many accounts here in bitcointalk. As for me i only use 1 Bitcoin wallet , 1 is enough for me to received and send bitcoins.
it is very possible. bitcoin wallet reproduce address can also bring opportunities to earn more money. we are free to use it. it is a choice.
People dont use many wallets i think they are just using one wallet maybe others want to use more just becuase that is becasue they have that lot of bitcoins i dont know what it else can be.
Peopple uses more than one wallet and that is becuase i know for sure that lots of people want to put their money on one bank you also have more than one bank account for your dollars so bitcoin usrs also.

Yeah we know there have been a lot of hacks just by clicking the evil websites they created. With this method we are to keep safe our other bitcoins. They might get one but they will get a hard time with other accounts.

But different with the mainstream answer in this place, for researching about measuring the security in every wallet and for getting the best wallet who has a good security in my mind. starting from analyze a various features and program in the wallet and that's not about securing my money.
I did this before I created xapo wallet and block chain wallet. So at first the only wallet I know is xapo and upon using xapo upgraded and its security went higher too.
And I found it interesting that xapo is making their security stronger but I stopped on that time, because it makes me annoyed.
But as of now, I am sticking with blockchain.

I think people feel safest when they use multiple wallets, so they have always more than place to store their bitcoins and dont put all their eggs in just one basket
yeah I did that, at least I have 3 bitcoin wallet and I split my third to the wallet, sure to make it look secure. because of the possibility of hackers to get into your wallet perfectly possible, so to minimize the loss of all the money, I had to split into many places

Lol I think there is not any purpose xapo provide flexibility, because in fact there is no prohibition to use a lot of wallets. even you are free to have 100 wallet though. there is nothing wrong with it. but of course has a lot of purses will make you confused? so use only as neededCan someone explain?
