I think that using shampoo is important and we all need shampoo and that shower without shampoo will not remove the unpleasant odors on our bodies and for me I use more than one type where I use shampoo for the head and skin and I use a shampoo for the body and it is impossible to give up the shampoo that Your decision you made is wrong, and I advise you to change your mind

I know some of you are going to say "you already made this thread" but that thread had a different OP and questioning, this is pretty straight forward (no melting scalps).

So why do we use shampoo? I've asked like 20 people this, most peope doesn't have an answer and the ones that do says it's to keep it clean and free from fat (durr it gets fat because your body is addicted to it).
My parents used it on me when I was a baby since then I've been addicted to it, but there are other ways to keep the hair clean. Came up with the idea to use salt water to clean it X times a week.

I've broken my foot so it takes me a long time to make sure my plaster doesn't get wet, showering is a a drag so only been doing it 1-2 times a week, been 5 weeks soon - my hair has obviously been very fat during this time but it's starting to adapt now.
Been using no shampoo for over 1 week now and it looks as good as it does when I use shampoo, next time I shower I may use a little but that will be the last time after that I am going to use only water and salt water when I shower. What do you think?

first of all, it helps dirt and odors which i think are the most important thing to wash out on a regular basis. Oil and sweat can also be removed just by shampoo alone.

Shampoos are needed in order to keep our hair clean.
Our head is a place where a lot of bacteria can be evolved due to the fact that there are a lot of hair there and a lot of sweat comes from it.
Of course we need shampoos because they keep us healthy.

Im using shampoo for my hair to smell nice, clean and to get rid of the dandruff.

However shampoo alone is not enough as I have a thick long hair, so im also using conditioner to make it smooth.

For hygiene of course, there are several other reasons when to use shampoo, if you know what I meant, haha! But hygiene is number 1. If you don't use shampoo, you hair will definitely go dry. Try not to shampoo for a week and you will know what I'm talking about.

Shampoo (or soap) must be used. But you need to use natural shampoo (for example, from coconut oil and other oils with the addition of different infusions). Shampoos that are sold in ordinary stores - they can not be used, it is harmful (like any unnatural cosmetics)

Author, do not use shampoo. This is a conspiracy. Do not brush your teeth, do not. Everyone wants you to think that they need to be cleaned, but no. When you go to the toilet, do not use toilet paper because it is a conspiracy. Everyone wants you to use it, but don’t do it. Also do not eat food. It is full of chemicals that zombie you and turn you into a vegetable. And, most importantly, breathe as little as possible. As much as possible. In the end, harmful compounds are added to the air that is sprayed from aircraft. You do not want to breathe this. Sit only at home and don’t go anywhere, because there is a conspiracy everywhere. They thought they would fool you, but you're smart. Oh yes, disconnect your internet connection. There are a lot of stupid things.

Why not to use shampoo?
It is for keeping your skin clean as there are a lot of toxins getting out of your head and they have to be removed in order to keep the flow on it normal.
Otherwise, you will end up with dermatological diseases.

we use shampoo to wash your grease and oils out of your hair fool

I got the same reason. I only use shampoo for about twice a week because as far as I know hair gets oily after a few days of not using shampoo.

the advantage of shampoo is cleaning the scalp and removing dandruff. some people may not need shampoo but for me it is really needed because for it removes the smell and so on. at least you should use shampoo once a week or once every 2 weeks rather than never using it at all.

I've read an article few years ago, that shampoo is not needed.
It's been accepted by modern society as a necessity, but it might not be one.

So, the article explains, that the fat we're washing is good fat which is supposed to keep our hair healthy and clean.
Theory is, that if you don't wash your hair for 2 weeks or so, the fat from the scalp will envelop your hair, and then you just use plain water to rinse off any dirt or smell.
Now, in modern society, it's hard to go 2 weeks without washing your hair, as indeed it gets smelly and you look like a hobo.

But that's the theory. Anyone willing to try it out?
No salt, no chemicals, just plain water.

Some weirdos just rub salt into the scalp because they are afraid to use shampoo because of chemicals... I don't think that shampoos are bad, just don't wash your hair very often especially in hard water. Also, avoid cheap shampoos because they may contain too much plastic and sulfates, that's all.
I wash my hair twice a week and always use a conditioner. Just remember one thing that shampoo is used for cleaning dirt and oil from your scalp and conditioner is used to soften your hair, no secrets here. Here's a good source to read about it.

Dude, did you realize you just necro-ed a 5 years old thread...
