I just feel bad for those who bought bitcoins at the high rate of $1000 as they must have incurred such a huge loss as since about a year, the price has never reached even $350 and now it seems it will take another year to reach $300. I just do not want the rate to go blow $250.

You'd have to have good reason to hodl on at that point. After buying at the peak before a crash I'd have trouble seeing any value in the long-term.

I see many idealists still thinking in a future rise. Why? The only real rise of bitcoin was due to a bubble, simply a bubble which lasted all 2013? from that bubble we always thought that was a trend, it was not. We and I were all super enthusiastic. None could forecast that after almost 2.years bitcoin was worth less than before. Tell yourself the truth do not try to convince about what you would like it to be. Actually people are NOT interested in using bitcoin. Yes banks are evil, sure, devil itself, but people like simplicity, many people are...how can I say? stupid and get used to their simple things.  Most people do not like to change. And they do not like to risk. There is no real reason why bitcoin should be mass adopted...to do what? Send money to someone, something you could do with very small fees (I can assure you I constantly do bank transfers I usually spend 1 euro whatever the bank transfer is) doing it A LONE with no warranty? knowing that a small minimal error, a hacker, a sudden Loss in value, could make you lose everything or a big part of your money?   as you see its nonsense.
There will be neither mass adoption nor total failure. Bitcoin will still be used for some years by some nerds, and it will get slowly less and less valuable until it will be finally forgotten, buried in some history book in the chapter ".utopias".  See history. How many utopias (political economical etc) have realised, how many failed soon or.after?  I know it's a good dream but we should wake up until it's to late... bitcoin will slowly be forgotten.

Why? Look at greece in the next months and then you'll see how bitcoin is going to save a lot of asses. You are the one that is deluded since you cant see beyond current price.

I think bitcoin will never be used from all the people who live in the World, because some people have not an internet connection (and obvious) don't know how to use a pc or another device. Other people never used a Credit/debit card and they are accustomed to use only cash.

I think (instead) bitcoin will be a good alternative to send a large quantity of money without the use of any bank and obviously with the lowest fee in the world, the immediate, the not possible to make chargeback , and a lot of other good quality that the FIAT value doesn't "own".

Remember  "everyone has a right to issue his own money".

It's all about use-cases as you said. It's good for some uses. Bad for others. It's the only option for some cases too. More and more uses for it will become clear with time.

There is definitively a lot of space for Bitcoin to rise in the number of people using it, and about the useless of Bitcoin because of cheap banking services: try send money worldwide to see how expensive it really is.

I think the OP is right - in the sense that people prefer Comfortable and Convenient.

Crypto currency is more than just a "new way to do something on the internet", like Facebook and Amazon. It's a paradigm in itself, as new to the world as the internet was in 1997.

The exitement around Bitcoin is valid. Valid as Napster.

If bitcoin goes whole-world (meaning: the day your grandparents have wallets) it will be "i-Tuned".

Regulation will come. Just make your money before the suits ruin it.

Do animals at the zoo only prefer living there because they cant live in their natural habitat?
People use fiat because they think they dont have a choice.

Its up to people to educate themselves in an effort to stop their own financial enslavement.
We as a community can help them by spreading the truth about how fiat works.
If the avg Joe knew how the banking system and debt really work, they would flock to bitcoin like Chinese tourist to Las Vegas.

People use fiat because they are accustomed to it. It's like something that you know and learn since you were young and practically it's the only thing that we all know. But after bitcoin came along, our thinking and mindset have changed. Instead of gold as an asset which you can't carry along with you anywhere, bitcoin can and has the advantage in this area. It's life-changing. And you can't blame the mass of people who haven't realize that because like I said, some are so used to the same thing that worked for them all these while.

Its not idealistic thinking its more excepting the fact that history has always changed, the human race has always evolved.  Bitcoin seems like a logical next step.  Maybe it will be something slightly different in the end but bitcoin in its current fromat is the best we have to work with.

Kind of misleading. I don't think it will be dead or forgotten anytime soon. Talk about mass adoption, I'm sure it will be there some day. It just takes time. If you track the progress it has made compared to 5 years ago which practically worth almost close to nothing, you can obviously see the difference. I guess there's no point trying to convince someone who has lost faith.

I also do not expect to to be dead or forgotten any time soon. But I don't think it can shoot up to unrealistic levels either.
Just because the price has risen rapidly over the last 5 years doesn't mean that it can be repeated.

Lol, do you actually believe the shit you say? Do you realize how much of an idiot you make yourself look by putting '88' in your username? Grow up kid, look around you. Bitcoin is being adopted by more investors, businesses and entrepreneurs than any other e-currency has ever done. Bitcoin has trumped Apple's Pay, and is the base exchange currency for all altcoins in existence.

So I am assuming that the shit you write, you don't believe, and is just a sad attempt to troll. Just like that 88 in your name.

those thread bring nothing useful really
There are no problems with Bitcoin. There are only problems with people.

People are always problem Smiley
Any way, I hope that very soon average people will understand all the advantages and benefits of Bitcoin and begin to accept it.

Bitcoin will get simpler. Just like computers did. Don't need to be a genius to work one nowadays do you?
As what I seen, some people still need help turning a PC on, but for the average person they can barely use one :p.

This isn't really true unless you live in the middle of nowhere in some third world country. My grandparents can use computers and the internet just fine. I don't know anybody personally who can't work a computer in this day and age.

They need to keep track of transactions? Well that's not hard since the blockchain does it for you. It's literally a ledger of transactions so the taxman can see where you money has gone if they really wanted to. Adoption and ways to deal with bitcoin and the taxes owed will be worked out over time. It's really not that hard to tax bitcoin either.

As I can understand Op is just thinking in 1-0 standards. It is either bitcoin will fail or it will a great lifechanger for every human on earth. And I can already tell you that this wont happen. Bitcoin has its place and will be regarded  as main economic factor in subsequent years.

Uhm I bought bitcoin before 2013, and even at this price I'm still in the black.

Your comment ignores so much (for example the fact that bitcoin is still attracting new adopters).
