Because it is free. Why we need to sell something which is free and potential? Bitcoin cash has a lot of potentials and it can even compete with bitcoin. It has the 8mb block which can contain more than 30000 transactions. Therefore, I can say that bitcoin cash is faster than bitcoin. Although it is not as strong as bitcoin (due to the effect of 8mb block), speed is one of the issues which people always concern about

So basically it's faster than BTC?  So is pretty much every alt coin out there.

One thing that you do have to see from cryptocurrency that exists today is a whitepaper or a plan that they will create to provide some facilities that ease the work of everyone. If it indeed is very convincing and has a good plan level surely would be much better to do the holding. For it is most likely that in the future the coin would benefit, it is so good for bitcoin cash. Because of that I have seen some people doing the holding due to see or refer to the whitepaper there are inside.

I only hold a little since I got it for free, I want to see the capability of bitcoincash in the future, and I want to see how long bitcoincash could survive and I heard that bitcoincash will be very expensive in the future, so I want to try to get advantage from bitcoincash

Not a holder of Bitcoin Cash but I dumped it as soon as I got them for a decent sum. Now, I won't even look up the price of BCH as I will start having regrets if I held onto it, so I'm good with whatever I obtained from Bitcoin Cash which entered my wallet for free.

in my opinion its general not an good idea to sell of 100% ... its always good to keep some coins, in most cases you are not disappointed, when you hold some ... normally you will get disaapointed if you have sold too early !

i alway keep at least 25% of coins i got for free, but normally much more .... i still hold 85% of bitcoin cash, and i think that a good decicion .... maybe i sell futher 15% next year ....
I was confused if I hold my bitcoin cash because their price is fall down so quick. Also I just think how long bitcoin cash move in the market because sometimes I lose hope on this coin because it is not function normally.

I wasn't holding BTC at the time of the fork, unfortunately, and am debating whether to get in as it seems to be rising quite a bit lately.  Having said that, I don't see much point in it when there is already BTC which is obviously golden and should eventually work the way we want it to.

I have none and am thinking about hedging.  Why do you HODL?

I also have access to some BCH but because of the little interest I have in it, I have not even claim it but very soon I will and I will equally hold because its like every other coin that is expected to increase over time so one can maximise profit because its free money after all and another free one is coming in November to throw free money again.

for me personally, i don't holding a BitcoinCash, even i only have a few. Maybe for those who hold BitcoinCash of course their estimates may be very strong, that BitcoinCash prices will jump high in the next time and it seems so like that i guess too. Like my friend, my friend holds BitcoinCash pretty much, he told me its BitcoinCash prices could be profitable later.

Hedging/diversification. It's still in its infancy and there's plenty of upside and it carries the bitcoin name - in case it drastically impacted the bitcoin price, or took over (more unlikely) I wanted to be sure I was covered. Didn't cost me anything to buy, so not in a hurry to sell either - so far it's been pretty solid.

People are holding Bitcoin Cash because there are hoping to see the value of Bitcoin Cash grow in the future. Cool

I have none and am thinking about hedging.  Why do you HODL?

Because I got them for free and I am waiting for the great pump from Roger Ver and the Chinese miners. I believe the flooding of the mempool will coincide with BCC's pump that should be happening in 2 or 3 months.
Probably so do all. I do it too, but it seems to me that this will not happen. If everyone expects the pump on those coins that I got for free, then who will buy the coins? Without this the price will not grow. Bicono it took 4-5 years for the price to drastically rise.

We got the BCC (Bitcoins Cash) Free and it's a money I've got you to sell it. I'm still holding this until now because there are many developments and progress at the right time. And since this is the result of Bitcoins split it can be followed by bitcoins at its price. Many of them have said their potential and its strength to become a solid Altcoins, It is possible that at the right time we can use it and this is the answer to all. So I continue to hold it until the right time comes

Well at first i got them for free  Grin Grin and i think just like the others said in the last post, diversification is the best way to get more opportunity to gain some profit and its a win win solution, since i dont lose anything when the price drop, so why bother selling them now when the chart still looking pretty good  Grin Grin

Diversification. I've got it for free and combined value of BTC and Bitcoin Cash is consistently higher than the value of BTC alone. Now big swings of price and difficulty damped down and mining of both of them is almost equally profitable. I've expected something like this. Right now having Bitcoin Cash just looks like having 15% more bitcoin.

I have none and am thinking about hedging.  Why do you HODL?

I held them in the first place because I didn't want to screw up and lose any BTC trying to extract them. I wasn't sure how its replay protection worked, and I also didn't trust these scammy wallets that came out of nowhere, like "Electron Cash" and "Bitcoin ABC."

When I researched a bit more and figured out how to safely extract my BCH, I came to the conclusion that it was best to hold for a while. Like any altcoin, it was likely to base for a while and eventually get pumped, especially with powerful backers like Bitmain. I guess there's the tiny, tiny possibility that it could overtake BTC as well, but that seems to become less likely each day. Then again, BCH might be able to capitalize on Segwit2x drama/fears as we head into November.
