I am holding 6 coin at once. Waves, wings,Ethbits,Pesobit,Nxt,Lun and all of coins arre dumping!! Why its happening? now if I sell, I will lose $1000 usd at once. when the price will pumping again??

it's when everybody dump that you hold stronger, and when everybody pump you dump everything, did you not learned anything about trading?, now it's the time to hold not in a bubble, we were in a bubble or sort of, and investors dumped now just wait for the next pump

Volatility brings in opportunities for both buying and selling. How many people have a plan when you purchase a currency? Are you going to: hold for 6 months to a year, do you have a target price to sell at, are you willing to make a quick 10% and move on, do you want to participate in ICO's? Have a plan, stick to it and you will probably end up in a pretty good place. This is only the beginning, think of how many more people will be into crypto in 2-5 years. Invest, hold, stake, harvest, set up a node if you can afford it and let the money work for you.

i think there should be a symbol that the bear market come, i don't know the reason why do almost all the coin price include btc and eth do down

No one knows with certainty and its largely due to the forces of demand and supply and how the market participants reacts to the market activities which in this case I see it as normal in the crypto-business. Even in the fiat exchange market where stocks are traded, the reasons why prices drops on increase is because of the regulations but in crypto forces behind decision making of participants are not obvious to everyone.

If you can stand to hold, I would suggest you do but if not, just count your losses and move on.

There are always be a panic selling because of the price drop and not increase in few days
And if after a couple of weeks it has no change in prices, and suddenly drop, then people will rush to sell and make everything go down

The crypto market always moves together because when people are nervous about the industry as a whole they convert their money to fiat regardless of what coin or token they hold.

Maybe it is not a bad thing for the cryptocurrency market. The bubble is big enough and there are too many scams, the price should turn to be a reasonable level and the teams should focus on doing something real, rather then collecting a lot of money and do nothing.

I agree with this comment, It seems that everyone is just trying to cash in on a quick ICO without creating real value. Hopefully this correction will allow the real Dev's who want to make good technological advances prosper in the long run and weed out all of the scam artists.

I think this year, the attention on btc, new investors, boom of alts, started something, this is just the first pump, consolidation, the whole cycle has changed. You can't compare it to other years. People are getting in because of the real potential in coming years. Most projects are just developing and don't have a product yet. Look at the road maps of most coins, the end of this year and 2018 bring a lot of good things. Funny how so many people dumped out of fear, probably at a loss. If you believe in the quality projects, understand what they are, not just gambling with random coins, then you hold and know there is potential. Not every day can have 100% gains. I'm still holding, with many coins at a loss, but trust they will go somewhere.

Bitcoin amateur learning by doing
Unfortunately, not everyone entered the market 4 months ago.

Personal context for our(=family) crypto involvement:

Still on the positive on our crypto (like +50%) but can easily go in negative if this trend continues. I was in the market ~1.5 years now, but increased investment 2 months ago.
Our cryptoporfolio is about 1/3rd of our total wealth. Rest is in house, car, cash. Also, our monthly income is about 1/10th of our cryptoportfolio. All in all, significant investment for us. But not to the point that we would be bankrupt if it was 0 instead of x>0.

I would much rather have a steady 1% per month than jump 200% a month and down 50% next.

Regardless, this is how markets operate. bulls and bears.

hodl, and we will see how this goes.

4 tips for all newbs:

1- diversify: meaning also fiat/stocks/bonds/estate whatever. if you are 20, you can put 70% into cryto, take 1% off that for every year beyond 20
2- do not invest borrowed money
3- do not sell when down, only sell when it is going up
4- do not buy when going up, only buy when it has crashes in a 2-5 day period

Crypto market is already in short term bear.
But when you look long range, it was nearly always bullish since 2014. Always. Every coins.

Gric Coin - Redefining Agriculture and Increasing
I think that bitcoin (and most altcoins) will keep going down until and even after August. This trend will be followed to a huge increase soon after though - lets give it few months. I don't think it's time to panic, who's been actively investing in bitcoin for the last years knows how this market goes - nothing new.
I'm also believing with regards to that speculation. Well I see how the dev of altcoins are working for thier coins which I can say I'm satisfied. I think big whales are just playing great in crypto currency and they are preparing for a great timing and they'll pump altcoins soon. We are all looking froward for that so we can sell our coins we are holding and invest it in ICO.

They are all kind of linked. Through the BTC/XXX markets.

For example, btc/eth markets price = 0.1, ethers are 1/10th the price of bitcoin (230 USD ethers -> 2300 USD bitcoins).

If there's a major selloff in ethers and ETH/USD falls, the market will push BTC/ETH, BTC/USD both down to ensure equilibrium.

First I'll take a look in my bag of coins which I am holding since march this year and at the factor of multiplying of my investment from march until now:

SC x 16
XRP x 10
LSK x 10
ETH x 7
XEM x 7
NXT x 5
ARDR x 4

This is my profit for the last 4 month in BTC. (In fiat you can multiply all this profits again with the factor 1.9)
For short term traders it might look bearish at the moment.
For me - as a long time holder (4 month lol) - it looks, after some small corrections in the last few days, nothing else than bullish.
Bullish.
Bullish.
Bullish.
!

So please stop this confusing fear. Please remind yourself instead, that in a bullish market small corrections over a couple of days / weeks are absolutely normal. Downsize your expectations. Or do you really think, that x40 average in 4 month without correction is normal ... ? It would be great. Of course! But to believe in that is a little bit ... childish.
Hm?

Regards!

Yes, I can sure 100% July is bearish market and we can see in next time the price of crypto will comeback to real value as 6 months ago, next time will prove my idea is true, wating Wink

I quite think the same. Crypto and altcoins surged lately. Most of the newcomers saw Bitcoin price constantly increasing for the past few months and started to invest in it to gain profits. Then bitcoin stop increasing around the end of May. It went down to 2000$ and lot's of people thought it is ok, bitcoin will go up even more (because the 6th of Mars 2017 bitcoin was around 1270$ and the 24th of Mars 2017 it went down to 981$ or something and yet, bitcoin still went up to 2725$ on 25th may of 2017). Now for the past months bitcoin went up and down with most likely a downwards trend. It is quite normal actually. The trending phase has ended. Most of the lately newcomers are not willing to lose lot's of money and so are leaving crypto with their profits. Of course, altcoins suffer the most from the downwards trends. Bitcoins prices surges and so early adopters of cryptocurrencies (and newcomers that really makes the effort to look into crypto and not only bitcoins) started to invest in altcoins to gain even more, profits (because it is easier to double a 60m$ market cap then a 20b$ market cap...). Yet the bubble kind of explode a little bit (plus the ICOs that spread the money and hence avoid us from making any profits).

All that putting together, newcomers will retire from bitcoin very quickly because they are the ones that have the most to loose. But, as they left crypto world, other people will start to loose money and so... a reverse downwards trend. Moreover we are in summer so lot's of people will enjoy holidays or whatsoever so during summer crypto world aren't moving up that much (on the contrary). To sum up, crypto will go downward because

- newcomers will quit to avoid loosing money
- we are in summer so markets won't likely grow
- altcoins are more affected by the downwards trend
- people are too greedy! The first rules of speculation is that you are ok with loosing the money you are investing... newcomers don't follow that rule and are too greedy

All, in all I think bitcoins won't decline too much because people will either exchange their altcoins to bitcoins to reinvest in alts afterwards or simply from bitcoins to fiat. In either of the two ways, the market will likely decline for a while, but it is for the goods, it will sweep off uninteresting projects and it will remain only good altcoins with good projects to invest in and so the moneys won't be spread over too many project and the marketcap of the goods projects will finally surge back.

Something like that...

I think bitcoin's price is down trend because the activation segwit2x on bitcoin's network, almost all of peoples are fear because of it then they sold their bitcoins, the activation of segwit2x on bitcoins can be fail and there are risk to failure on bitcoins network if there are some comunity of bitcoins doesn't agree about it and the impact on bitcoin's price will be down and ethereum's price goes down trend because it follow the trend down of bitcoins.

Did you see that ludicrous display last night?
for example I don't think ethereum is a bubble its price 200-300 good but collecting in icos 20-30M is wrong for projects and will be bad for market in the following years.
Clearly is a bubble.

It's gone up thousands of percent in just a few months.  There's no world in which that isn't a bubble.
