In fact, you very correctly noticed. If one day something happens to Ethereum. Well, there's something wrong there, a virus, hackers will crack, I do not know. All the thousands of tokens that are created on the Ether platform will disappear?
Projects that create their own purse and have a unique platform certainly have an advantage. However, it is difficult and expensive to do this everything.
The path of least resistance is Ethereum. With your thought of slavery, I agree.

Once you understand the world is a slave plane(t) the continuation of the system will be fought hard, but be lost eventually.
The reversal has started 6 years ago. It is not something to be done overnight.

The as above so below pyramid is the dead giveaway of what is going on.

You know the old monkey trick catch give him candy, but he must pass his hand trough a hole just big enough for the open fist with closed fist (candy in it) he is trapped, caught and cant get away. Most here laugh at the stupid monkey.

He will sacrifice freedom for ever to have a candy.

You are not much of a philosopher really, nor for that matter a very good graphical artist. But to the point, ethereum has made me quite a good sum in benfits, so  I honestly don´t feel like an slave...Just see my username.
No Problem, understanding will come to you.

Unfortunately ETH doesn't have competitor as platform for ICO yet. I hope it gonna maybe not this year but in 1-2 years. ETH is like monopoly platform for ICOs. We need competitiveness.
We should make a framework

ICOs need a blockchain to operate on and if they choose Ethereum then they are going to have to pay the fees in the way of Ether. Funds can't just move around for free.
DAGs is also decentralized, but not fees

There is nothing forcing them to do this, if they wanted to launch their own blockchain prior to their ICO and then hold their ICO on their own blockchain then they could do exactly that.

It is impossible to become slaves voluntarily. People get involved in the game voluntarily. This is not slavery. Similar to roulette, the croupier always has an income. But the players are hoping for luck. No one can know the number where the ball will land. The price of currency on the exchange fluctuates within certain limits. Therefore, there is always a chance to win. These cryptocurrencies differ from casino. ICO is a separate issue. It's getting more complicated because I never participate in such projects.

As in any ideal system of slavery. (The ideal slave is the one who says I'm not a slave) You are given emotional or physical benefits, and you succumb to this, enter this game. (this applies not only to Ethereum but also a lot of things that surround us).

And while you are being enjoyed, you are proud to say that you are a master of the game, that you control the game, even achieved something in this game.

But in the end, all the money goes to the one who gives out the cards, and gets a commission (the usual poker scheme). Think about how you can send "Your Tokens" without using ether. Can ICO project get out of this game and say - I'm real owner of the tokens that I released. The most important questions that you should ask yourself - what kind of freedom it limits? And who benefits from these limitations?

UPD.
His Majesty Vitalik's father, coz not wanna to look like a very coward, answered in the comments. But this was not exactly the answer, rather arrogant spittle in the direction of the crypto community.
