Absolutely true noticed that bitcoins do not need to be converted into another currency to make payments. It is very convenient. Do not lose money on these activities
but sometimes you just need to convert it when you're going to pay things but they didn't accept bitcoin directly so you will exchange it to fiat to pay them to get the bills paid, for example for paying water and electricity

I would not come very far if I left the house with no cash, only my smartphone.
For the next 30 miles I do not know a single shop where I could use btc as payment.
What is beyond that I actually do not know, but I would be surprised if there were shops that accepted bitcoins.
To me the sentence "bitcoin instead of cash" really makes no sense.

That question is not to have bitcoins in your pocket instead of cash, but it means if is it better to have your money in cash or it would be better if they stay in bitcoins? Or if you have bitcoins and no cash then what is the reason for you? You could simply answer this question like i don't have bitcoins because i can't use them anywhere around me so that is why i don't keep my money into bitcoin.

Personally I'd rather have Bitcoin instead of cash because it gains more value over time (so far, plus depreciating value), and it is less vulnerable to loss or loss of value than fiat currency (for a multitude of reasons). You can also use Bitcoin in a number of ways, and it isn't as limited as fiat currency.

So in here you really care for the bitcoin price since you are pointing of the value of it as time passes by.

What will take care of your regular expenses now? Since you preferred to have bitcoin instead of cash, your bitcoin will now be used to covered all your daily, weekly and regular spendings now. See the picture here?

There are many instances that bitcoin can't really match what fiat cash can do today so just use both of them as they are giving benefits in our financial status in life.

I love having bitcoin and I think that using bitcoin is better than cash, its safer and you can also not lose it easily like cash.
Due to that I think its better to have bitcoin.
Every one love having bitcoin in there bitcoin wallets specially when they are receiving big amounts of bitcoin , cash in cash we use it for physical needs like buying foods whenever we wants buying something that we need specially the cloths and many more for me it better if we use two
But, I'm not enjoying on having two types of currencies. But I am enjoying bitcoin as an investment rather than currency. Actually I'm not having bitcoin instead of cash but I'm having bitcoin instead of stock market shares. Instead of investing in other opportunities, I like to have bitcoin for my better future.
Yeah its always good to have bitcoin and save for a long time because you made a task that you will earn if you sell it you are just waste some rates for transaction. and for me better to wait the right time to sell your bitcoins to make a good profit..  if you receive cash already and the price of bitcoin is low you can not make a good profit.

Massive price drop coming...

It is a big NO NO for me. It is also not advised to keep only bitcoins in digital form as it can be hacked anytime. If it happens, then you will be left with simply nothing.

Always maintain a good balance between cash and bitcoins. Maintain a certain percentage of your money in to bitcoin and also a good percentage in to cash so that you can use it anytime you want. Also the risk of hacking will be reduced.
Well its not a problem we can secured our balance to dont trace our transaction we have bitmixer here or increase your passphrase so that hackers cant hack your account.. for now since i still dont seen or heard hack bitcoins account unless they are weak passphrase to brute force their wallet.

Define cash.

Is cash physical money ?

Is cash anonymous money ?

Is cash FIAT ?

Right now, there is no way Bitcoin can replace any of these but why do you care ?

There's nothing saying that you can have both at the same time. i'd rather use cash, because a 1 dollar bill is a 1 dollar bill, while bitcoin prices fluctuates a lot, just look at the trends for this year's prices to figure that out.

it's not that important if bitcoin has no fungibility, because evaluation will be made in the same moment you do a purchase, so you will not lose anything from the exchange, bitcoin will eventually be fungible when it will be bigger not now when it is unseen by many

The governments want to get rid of cash, it is predicted that around 2020 we will see a clear, mainstream-announced goal by governments to get rid of cash in the future, so by 2025-2030 cash usage will be minimum.

By then, your question should have an obvious answer.
Where did you get the information, how the hell would the government would get rid of cash when they are making money from the taxes in every transaction from every businesses and its people in a certain country.

Well if he will be right, then we are all fucked up. The tax will now come to bitcoin and we will have a lot of problems regarding that. If people are ready to accept bitcoin as their currency then are we as bitcoin users ready to be taxed? It is now the other way around problem.

It is obvious he is just trolling. That or he is living in a different dimension. Governments will never get rid of fiat. It is a representation of them and how rich their country which they govern is. Bitcoin is an option to get around inflation. It is a choice. And I do not believe it will replace any currency.

Thank you for the clarification. Maybe he is a troll that lives on the forest of Amkudaribalistabiviland.
You are right about the representation of strength. I dont think it should replace any currency. Let us not give them those ideas or they might think an online currency is stronger than theirs.  Grin

Fiat exist for more than centuries now and with just bitcoin they will replaced? So dumb thing to think by the others.

Use bitcoin for purposes that fiat can't do. Same goes for fiat in those bitcoin can't do.

More options is much better rather than relying on one.

There are governments which have given up on their own currency and started using the dollar in their countries.
For such countries, Bitcoin may be an option.  Wink
