It would really be annoying that people takes something that is valuable to us so shallowly. That they just go with the bandwagon and sees only the tip instead of the whole. I also understand you being annoyed by those skeptics before but have transitioned into bitcoin users and even investors now. But I don't know, man. I think that mere reading "Bitcoin to $10k" or "Bitcoin to $20k" is enough to say that these people who say these things do not know anything about bitcoin. It also doesn't say that they haven't read the white paper. We cannot tell. I mean, I just want to give the benefit of the doubt that these people actually are just expressing their enthusiam about bitcoin's massive price increase. And for the skeptics before, they just experienced a slower time adapting and understanding this technology. Good for you that you are an early adapter. You are young with many years ahead of you. Hope you would go forward enjoying that fact.

Then what are you doing here? Doing a charity?
And why do you want to invest in bitcoin? To look cool?
Nope right? You want to gain profit from bitcoin, and get rich if possible.
I won't blame those investors you mention, because i don't think they're wrong. People have their own reasons and conditions, you can't just judge it like that.
Don't regret not knowing bitcoin sooner, but now make a change and start investing too. Be a different investor than the type of investor you hate and satisfy yourself.

For now about 80 - 85% of investors don't really know or understand about Bitcoin cause they've joined this cryptocurrency world for months but they're too lazy to explore or learn about cryptocurrency before they want to earn money from it that why new investors often start with investing in HYIP system Smiley). Beside the guys don't really know about cryptocurrency or just have a little knowledge about it often wanna show off to make people think that they're professional Smiley) Unluckily they showed off with me whom have joined this world for years and I didn't waste my time to give a fuck about them Smiley))

Think of it in another way, you are lucky to get in BTC at $7000 than those who get in later at $10,000 or $20,000.

At 16 years old, you should go back to school to gain knowledge. In this way, you are able to contribute to the crypto. Good luck pal.

OP, you really sound like a teenager with this post.  People are motivated by
money...extremely motivated. And who cares if people haven't read the
whitepaper?  Do you say people shouldn't drive automobiles because they
haven't read the owner's manual for their car?  None of that should matter in
the least to you.  In fact, it's these ignorant speculators who've driven the price
of bitcoin to the insane height it's at, $7300 as I write this.  That may not help
market stability, but it sure as hell is allowing a lot of us to make a nice profit
off it.  Stop being so immature and intolerant.

Well everyone wants to make money 95% of the users are here to make extra money and learn more about coins as well. Nobody would do something for bitcoin if you didn't get money.

So calm down. Some users are here also for hobby and they get extra money.

It can't be help though since bitcoins gains so much attention it would also attract attention from different kinds of people.

I think you should go back to school and learn more about economy and finance. The only reoson that make Bitcoin survive is those people investing in cryptocurrency. Besides, it is not wrong to make money it's all about money these days. If the price of Bitcoin, after 9 years, remain the same, you think there will be anyone interested in it!

Dont worry its not only you who was curious about investing the money into bitcoin back 6 years ago. Now is the time which is running and you should make your decision depending on this situation and not the one which was ages ago. Bitcoin is developing fast and the popularity for it is growing very very fast which means another lot of investor will pump the bitcoin prices to the sky. If this continues to next two to fives years then I bet you that bitcoin price would be 50K and can be higher. Its rate of growing is really growing year after year and thats why its best of all while making investment. So you won’t be regretful after few years from now as you can still choose to invest into it.

well, your opinion is not wrong. But what? haha. Everything happens in a natural way. Whales and Sharks pump the price. The profit is too big, who can wait for a research? This is business, it means the soon you join, the more profit you get. If not, you will lose your chance. And you have to accept risk.  Cool

Well, you just can't feel hate to investors because it's their money they tend to do what makes them get profits in any ways.
The less Bitcoin circulated is the more high value because Bitcoin is still the intangible thing in the world that is the most expensive.
Getting and earning Bitcoin is very hard this days so investors are still keeping their money just to make profit and wait a longer time until maybe Bitcoin will drop continually.

You hate the human nature.
This is what you basically said.

Who cares about the whitepaper when your rent must be paid tomorrow.
Who cares about decentralization when your girlfriends is looking at your best friend car....

You said 90..
I will say 99% and I might be wrong by 1%.

Probably the 2010 2012 period was nicer, there was also less spam around here, people where talking about how to use the coin not how to hoard it...but it's always like that.In the end we all have needs and dreams and utopians future are not filling you up.

I don't think that anybody who joined the bitcoin wanted something with its descentralization or blockchain thing. I don't know anybody who didnt make some profit with bitcoin, and with the altcoins growing each day more, this is a good chance to be rich or even have a decent incoming, with good earning and I don't see the problem with that. Bitcoin can't solve all the problems, that's why we have a lot of altcoins.

Oh really?
Do you know Gavin was giving away full bitcoins for free for anybody that wanted to test how bitcoin works?
He gave away 1300 btc in one swoop with his faucet.

Unfortunately there are not many people who really understand what it is. But without investment market won't grow, so crypto technologies wont't develop. I'm sure that who wanna make easy and quick money will not be long in this market.
I would like to look at the development of bitcoin without taking into account those investors who wanted money. It would still be something like selling pizza for 10,000 bitcoins for laughter, nothing more.

Yes, it was all a scam and a lie, no one believed in Bitcoin's development but then they invested in it. They say they hate Bitcoin, they hate decentralization, they hate virtual currency but it's still growing and so many people invest in it. Is this a scam? They want to make a profit while Bitcoin prices drop because of fluctuations, most people find bitcoins because they want to get rich quick, that can happen or they will not have anything.

I did...

Most people that investing bitcoin now, are just investing to make money. It annoys the hell out of me. 90% of people haven't read the white paper! Don't even know why decentralisation is a good thing! Don't know why the blockchain is such a revolutionary invention! It annoys me so much! These people just invest because they want to "get rich quick".

And the annoying thing is that if someone had told me about bitcoin 6 years ago, I still would have put all of my money into it. Unfortunately I'm only 16 so I didn't know ANYONE (when I was 9) that would tell me about bitcoin. I only just heard of it 7 months ago and henceforth, have become OBSESSED with crypto. Now I've dropped out of school for crypto and it really does my nut in when all I hear is "Bitcoin to $10K!", "Bitcoin to $20k!".

Deep down I actually hope that the bubble (yes it is a mini-bubble) pops after the Segwit fork and that the price goes back down to $2k. That way all of these stupid investors can suck their thumbs and get taught a lesson. 90% of these people also would have said bitcoin was a scam 9-15 months ago but now look at them. They run around like fucking idiots screaming "BLOCKCHAAINN!!!", "DECENTRALISATIONNNN!!!".

Smh.

Rant over.

I completely understand your frustration, and I am sad to say I can relate. Unfortunately people that have come to the cryptocurrency space recently only care about money. The don't give a f** about the revolution or the tech. That makes me very sad myself. Cryptocurrency has become 90% speculation and 10% tech. All I want to say is that don't give up. Let's continue educating the masses, one person at a time. I must say, for a person your age. You are very quite mature.

I think is pretty naive hope that the crypto revolution will happen without all this stream of money.
Look, btc now is on tv or newspaper because the price!

We need that kind of people!

Rome was not built overnight, democracy was not achieved overnight, racial equality was not achieved overnight. Infact, I would say that even now democracy and racial equality have not been truly attained in most of the world. Fiscal freedom will also not happen overnight.

In our evolution as a race, we've made a lot of mistakes in every facet of our lives and gradually integrated them into our collective consciousness as the status quo. Having accepted these mistakes as the norm for generations upon generations, we've ourselves created a resistance to change often too great to overcome. Hence, revolutions become so much harder to actuate.

Blockchain is revolutionary but there is no revolution as yet. As long as we have internet, it cannot be quelled but it will take time for a lot of people to come around to the idea. Most of our world is used to being told what to do, being told what is right from mainstream mass media. This is just our cross to bear.

Blockchain revolution needs a selfless and suasive leader, an impassioned orator like Gandhi or MLK to inspire and enlighten the masses. Only then, this revolution can be set in motion.
