You understood the meaning of gambling wrongly. It is not like how we think because no plans or strategies will work in gambling to make profits on a regular basis. Only think can bring you money in gambling is luck, and without luck, no plans will work out. So don't try to earn money from gambling instead just enjoy the games once in awhile.

I suppose one of the main reasons is the illusion of getting rich quick and when you do win you think next time if I put in a little bit more then you will win more. It is an addiction that is hard to kick for sure.

I guess you are on point, it's definitely for fun but due to the fact that you can make money in gambling "easy", people are thinking but focusing in gambling they can make fortune on it. If only gambling sites will limit it's gamblers then probably we will not be addicted and of course we will enjoy more. But business as they are, they would not do that as they aim for the profit.

And after a few days you will still go back to try again to gamble to recover your loses. This is why very become a habit or addictive to you.

I think it is not a part of addiction and i think he just want to recover it back instead of recovering it back he will be lose more until he will never get recover it all until he realize that better to stop because he can not get and recover back his money..
For me if the person is addicted he was addicted because he was entertain and the game for them is fun..

I think even if some other people have been using some biblical term here I think it is not really that bad and he is still sticking with the topic of addiction well even if you are saying that there are other religion in this thread and I think you are saying that we should separate religion and the topic about drugs, I think he can not separate the topic about the faith of other people and that is base on their own knowledge, especially addiction towards gambling is a problem here and people with these kind of state needs caring and counseling from other people especially a prayer just might help!

Uh well it may help i think but hey even if prayers and counselling may be in a way help, it still would depend on how bad the person wants to quit. Gambling gives a satisfying feeling when you're playing and when you're winning. I think this is what's keeping people coming back

yes and when you win a small amount it give you some more hopes and you start playing gambling again and again, but not for all time you can win, as it is a common says that 90 % is loosing chances and 10 % winning chances, so when you start loosing they you try your best again and again to win and make you addicted.

That's just a sayings but you can correct that as I believe it it depends on the users of the money, if you use money in a productive way you will not be under the proverbs that money is the root cause of all evil. Money should be use and we should not be a slave for money.
