Yes, may be emotions can make you quit gambling, if nothing else can. Though I think if you really want to quit gambling then get some proper treatment from doctors and may take sleeping pills to avoid gambling (but strictly with your physician prescription).

Yep. Gambling being wrong is actually relative. The amount people loses is very relative to that person. You can't really identify gambling whether it's right or wrong for this.

i think gambling is wrong for those people who are doing is for making more and more money. they should not do this. i think i never saw a single person in may life time who can say that they are rich because of gambling. gambling can make you rich but for a very very short time. i never saw any person who can say that he is permanently doing earning from gambling. i think we should not make our selves addicting of gambling we should only do it for fun.

If a gamblers would think always of winning back he previous losses then most likely that gambler will end up bankrupt because the reality in the gambling is we lose in the long run and if we are not discipline and we let our emotions dictate the game then the consequences is always bad.

That's the real reason why gambling is very addicting, is that because the enjoyment and entertainment it can give for the gamblers.
And at the same time while enjoying, they have chance of getting some money but also higher risk of losing their money.

not all gamblers can experience addiction in gambling, because some are trying to ignore it and some control their betting and others were simply taking a look and then realizing how risky it is so they stop playing gambling to try other not risky stuffs.

I have friends who totally not interested in gambling and i have friends who keep going to gamble in real casino once every month. They even have to take a 8hr journey just to reach there and they still do it every month. So it is not a cup of tea for everyone but it is definitely an exciting activities for many people.

I think it is also depend of what they are playing, when you gamble you play a game right? and if the game if exciting, people that want to try their luck will bet to that game specially if the game is very exciting

Yup! there are certainly different motives for every gambler and we don't know what's going in the mind of every person who is gambling and not all people are getting addicted in gambling and not all are that serious when it comes to gambling and definitely not all have the same mind set when it comes to gambling.

Addiction is a problem that is hard to deal with. Once you start and you know you are winning it then there is low percent that you will stop it.

I guess gambling is addicting because you have the opportunity to win something without doing hard work for it. However, this is not possible in the long run and this is why casinos profit.

BUt if you control that addiction it can become a good thing for you.

There is no much different between old people and young people because most of the players is not from old people but from younger one moreover nowadays there is so much improvement of technology so you can play online without going directly to the casino and more of younger people will play it for sure. You are right, I also feel the same way.
Many gamblers try too hard to earn money and when they hear about gambling they dream that there is an easy way to earn money just by guessing the results of sports, rolls of dice, etc. But they take more time usually to come out of this dream to realize the real way to earn and why gambling exists.

Misunderstanding of gambling is the biggest reason for it's addictions.

I think a long term gambler is a pro gambjer and doesn't play for the addiction anymore. They even don't enjoy the game, unless if they win.
Let's not forget they know the games from experience. So they know which games has better odds, which casino has better games etc.

Gambling can be very addicted and this already has been mentioned by all kind of people, its of course true no doubts about that by the way.
I always through it was caused by a combo of two reasons and that is profit and the enjoying factor.
These two factors makes it so hard to stop with gambling in my eyes.

let's say you start gamble just for have fun and get a good entertainment , when you lost what would you do? gamble again with the stake amount doubled? yeah mostly would do this . why? it's too fun to earn money through a game and easy way. and it's a beginning of addiction. we don't want to suffering in lost and chasing it until broke.

You seriously need to get out of it before it's too late. Your fate is already set once you set your foot in a casino. Grab support from friends and families, it is still not all too late.

I think its better to go in psychiatrist and maybe they can give the best solution for your proble, and i think they can give a treatment for addiction..
Or try other thing like be addicted in online games like dota2 and league of legends and i think it can help you to stay away in gambling..
