i disagree, the casinos employ specific games that are more or less designed to be addicting and profit them be exploiting the addicted users. there's no point in making games that arent fun available to users, no one would play them and the casinos wouldnt generate profit, simple business model. all the flashing lights, the dealers shouting when there's a winner, its all designed to get people hooked.

Yes that is true. Most of the people think that gambling is the short cut to become rich so when people are in a financially difficult situations than mostly look for all these short cuts. After starting or losing initial money they want to get back their lost money at least, like this it will continue and slowly they will be addicted to these games.

well i dont do a lot of gambling but in my opinion it might be addictive because of various reasons, my uncle was addicted to gambling and he told that everything was because of the fact that he was poor and he needed a lot of money really fast

there are a couple of reasons why i think it might be so addicting for players firstly people are thrilled to wait for the outcome of their bet moreover the possibility to win money hooks them on keep on trying

It is not only gambling but anything what you use for longer period you easy get addicted to that.The real problem is getting addicted to gambling is seamless people start most of the time as fun and then begin to win little little and then suddenly get addicted to this.This gives hope and dream to gambler to get rich in quickest way so many people don't even realize when they get addicted to it.

Completely untrue and biased opinion. From my experience I can tell you that IQ has nothing to do with addiction, the fault lies in 'addictive personality' of subject.
Emotions and life problems are also a big factor. The same mechanism is partially responsible when really highly intelligent people are falling prey to religious sects and various cults.

Gambling is no more addictive than any other thing which brings you some satisfaction: reading, watching movies, sex etc. If you want to get rid of your gambling addiction just get another addiction and it should work. )

Maybe you are trying to get back and cover your losses so you can't stop playing even if you always. That already happened to me , I never stop 'til I won. I keep on betting even I lose, its really addictive.

It is good that you noticed adrenaline. Not only desire a fast money pushes people into gambling. Excitement attract people - this bad and this good. When someone wins is thinking about this more then when he lose and tells the others - thats how new people mostly are coming to the world of gambling.

What's your evidence to support that statement.
Because actually psychology divides problematic gamblers in two types, the action gamblers and the escape gamblers, and the profile of the action gamblers are generally male subjects with high IQ scores. They do have a lot of disorders like low self esteem and many others, but their IQ is not a problem.
They usually prefer gambling that involves skill like poker, sports betting, and recently, trading of stocks, so they can't have a low IQ.
The other disorders is what makes gambling a problem.

Winning or losing is not a matter in gambling to get addicted.
Because both winners as well as losers are getting addicted to gambling for their own reasons. In general we can say gambling is addictive regardless of your success or failure with gambling.

That is the good point both winners as well as losers are getting addicted to gambling. The reason why gambling is so addicting to every gamblers is human nature of greediness. I could not find any other reasons to blame for gambling addictions.

Keeping yourself to gamble again and again by not letting you think of anything else but only about making profit with gambling is the point where gambling makes people getting addicted.
Both winners and losers stay again to gamble to make profit either to make big profits or to cover the losses.

Yes these addictive things will not let you analyze yourself. It means gambling addiction will overcome our perception power of analyzing our mistakes. The only motto in front of every gambler is just making more profit.
