Gambling always gives hope for the possibility of an easy way to get a lot of money and not everyone can resist this temptation.
The hope is there and they will also try to show every possible way that the hope is true but it is actually half-true since the chance is very low and the people dont reason it out and start playing indiscriminately. That is the reason why people will get addicted to it. Maybe one can win big once or maybe twice but then that does not mean that every time they play they would win. Rather it is mostly the opposite and you may just lose all your money there.
I can relate to this when I was still pretty active gambler to one of the online casinos before - on the chat box, there are many people that share their strategies and let you try it because it worked for them but before you know it, you are again encountered many loses.
That because every people have different luck on different days we can't say we'll win because other people did. As we knew before gamble was a game based on your luck but there's a few games you could use your strategy to increase your win chance and of course it would spent a bit time to think about your strategy/analysis. It made some people got lazy to think their strategy and at the end they only used their luck or probably instinct.
