Greed is addictive and a lot of greedy people are unable to stop even though they manage to get plenty and so is gambling and the people that regularly gamble. It's so addicting because you're greedy to win or regain your lost money and in the process you lose control of yourself and get addicted.
The main reason why gambling is so addicting is you can double your money by just winning but not all the we always win, if we lose you will get the urge to take it back your money by just betting again and again we get addicted in the process until the addiction affecting your life.
Yup when people start to hope that they can recover their loss and continues to gamble that is the time when people gets addicted to it and many times even they are not aware that they have trapped by gambling.
At first you won't be addictive to gambling unless you have one a big amount of money on the choices of the game you played then it will start of feeling of eagerness and thinking that you will be always be lucky everytime you play the game you choose. It will now became a habit that it will turn to addiction.
That is normal when we are gambling, because we tend to convince ourself that when we gamble this time then this will be the right time to make some money. I feel you bro,when i lose my money on gambling i said that i will never ever gamble again and when weeks pass and got some bitcoins again im playing with it again i cant control it.Maybe its addictive because the site is letting us to feel that we can get money through it and when we earn we get more greedy and thats the time casinos work,when you win and you didnt stop they will strike you back and take all your winnings and eventually lose all your money Why is it so addictive?

There are people are actually become rich after they gamble but not part of the small profit if you win.. i think most of them are in lottery which is a large jackpot prize that you can win millions of money..
We do really have different thoughts on why gambling is so addicting. And I agree with you, I know a lot of people that are keep on buying lottery ticket and hopes to hit the jackpot prize no matter how long they are on it and there's no progress, they are not losing hope. For me, I think because gamble make us some earnings by simple and easy way eventhough we lose and then lose we will be sure that after several times we will win and get back all of our earnings. Gambling is the easy way yet make us happy because sometimes we play gambling just to kill time and have happiness. And we heard to others that there are people got rich because of it. And our willingness to be like that is the reason why we always play gambling eventhough we lose.
