Everyone who has access to the Internet can buy bitcoin now. It's easy to do even with a mobile phone. Maybe a few years ago it was difficult, but not now
That's a lie, if anything it used to be easier to buy Bitcoin.  I've tried with credit card and PayPal but most available services need some serious verification which a lot of people wanting to buy Bitcoin will not want (and due to my circumstances I can't give).  I've tried looking on LocalBitcoins with cash, but there's no one near my area and I have to go to a large city miles away to have any chance of exchanging, knowing that even then it would be dangerous.

Do you even try to transfer your amount of money that you have on exchanger and try to buy it from there? There is no way that you could buy things without any information on yourselves. You should be responsible on what you are doing if you want to to buy it from credit card or even paypal. Or if you really want to erase your trace, you should cash out your money and do the transfer maually. To complicated but may be that is pretty save

I have not really bought any bitcoin in a while, i have been mostly trading this last year.  but i have been trying to buy today from localbitcoins and bittylicious and it has been a real challenge.  they want photos of me holding cards on localbitcoins and on bitty they need about 4 different forms of id, what is going on.

this is seriously restrictive to anyone wanting to get into bitcoin,  like its meant to be pseudonymous but if the gate ways into bitcoin dont allow that people will be put off.    Huh
Buying bitcoin is not that hard to do it. As far as I know,  getting photos  together holding your ID card  was normal, it is for the security of your account just in case there's a problem they can protect your account. Therefore , their restriction was just kind of a normal because it is their rules and policies which you need to follow or else you can try in some other exchange to buy some bitcoin.
But some people who know that bitcoin is an anonymous currency and they come here to remain anonymous and then they come to register for an exchange to buy some bitcoins and they face the step of verification of their identity then they find it hard to go through these steps because they search for an anonymous way . That is what anyone will feel hard to but bitcoin.

I think it is a sort of requirement right now to make the use of Bitcoin legal. I know my local wallet is only doing this verification process because of the government requirement on identifying who are the Wallet Holders, we even need to verify our accounts every 6 months. Also it is a requirement to make their businesses a legal operation in their respective countries. I know it eliminates Bitcoin's privacy to its users but it is one of the ways that will make Bitcoin legal to the country.

It's the 1st time i am hearing that buying bitcoin is so difficult.
However, in my local there's a shop he sells btc for local currency without asking for my ID ...lol.
In your case i think the sellers might have been scammed earlier and that's why they are precautious.

If theres a will there is a way. DO not say it is hard and difficult not until you exhaust all possibilities and still cannot buy bitcoin. If you want to buy bitcoins then just submit documents or should I say you must comply with the verification of the site. They are doing this kind of protocols its because they are required by the government to do so before they can operate. If you really want to buy bitcoins then find some of your friends online who owns or has access to bitcoins then ask them to sell their bitcoins to you.

Because of some trading sites and local exchanges requiring ID's for verification, I don't find it as hindrance for buying bitcoin. As long as you do trust your local exchange or whatever you are using, it is going to be fine for you to verify your account using your ID's. But if you don't want those requirements, you can use virwox.

In my country to buy bitcoins is very simple. Bring enough money to any e-wallet already out there and acquire any currency. ATM sales bitcoins of course not, but they are not needed because there is no sense in them.

In our country its not so hard to buy. Only thing is that there are several exchanges available. You need to register and get KYC cleared and you can start trading.

Don't you have a friend that use bitcoins? Meetups are a real hassle sometimes. Almost everyday I see posts on Facebook ranting about how their seller/buyer didn't go to their meetup place. I don't know why you can't give some verification. Most websites that allows you to buy bitcoins are legit anyway. They will not leak your information on purpose.

There's no big deal, let's say, someone finds out that you are using bitcoins anyway. Is it really necessary to be anonymous around the bitcoin world when all of our pictures and whereabouts are posted on facebook. Grin

I don't know where are you from but if you're on Facebook and you found a group of bitcoin users from your country, there will be a lot less hassle to get bitcoins. They already know each other and they will not ruin their names just for a couple of bucks.

it's not that acquiring bitcoin is hard, it's that selling fiat currency is hard.

Any company that deals with government issued money has to follow certain laws or else they get in trouble. That's why it's so hard.

Cryptocurrencies are a highway, but the fiat on-ramp is pretty bad.
I would not say that hard currency is hard to sell. In my opinion, it's hard to sell it at a profitable price, that's the difficulty. And so, all as usual, there are demand, depending on the price. With Bitcoin things are different. But I'm still new in this field, and I'm not going to either sell or buy. Just earn so far.
yes i also do not think that it is so hard to buy bitcoin, as now you can trad bitcoin through multiple exchange, for example you can use polenix yobit, bitfinex and local bitcoin exchange to buy bitcoin.

yes, I agree with you. Not everyone can easily buy bitcoin. Everything depends on its popularity in the country. Some countries do not yet know about bitcoin and so the purchase is difficult. But I hope that the situation will change soon

I see no problem to buy bitcoins. If you made money on the Internet, then you won't have any problems with buying bitcoins. Another thing is that for anonymity you may have to make some swaps, but that's the price for anonymity. Nothing in our world happens for free.

LocalBitcoin is the best way to buy your Bitcoin no  personal details will be provided, the issue is just that you will buy at premium above the market price but for me it worth it.

You can take a look for ATM if you living for example in a big city or you can find any other site which not require any identification. A lot of electronic payment systems have that option that you dont need to show your identification to insert funds and after that you can try to buy cryptocurency without any identification

yes that is right that it is not so hard to buy bitcoin. in fact it require some good information and knowledge about bitcoin and then you can use different exchanges for doing  so and i think all the exchanges have very easy way to purchase bitcoin.
