In fact, Ripple could be a good coin if it had not been centralized. I don't like XRP just because it's too centralized right now. It has excellent functionality and it is already being tested by many world banks! This is good, but it can not be called cryptocurrency now.... IMHO

ripple will always become centralized cryptocurrency and as i know, the banks interested with ripple because this ripple is centralized
so, in my opinion nothing special with ripple
It's not caused by the decentralized of ripple but the fact that the majority of bankers only interested on its technology. So many times the majority of bankers are saying about they are only interesting on blockchain technology and they don't even think to add direct crypto payment to the system which means just like add payment that used ripple as the main currency.
Centralized just another negative point to the ripple.

WesternUnion Moneygram SaudiArabiaCentral MUFG MJF BillGates Google how could they all be that stupid to buy into a "bad"crypto Cheesy
Dont get fooled. Do your research

It's not corrupt, just not a cryptocurrency.. Very centralized, when you create an address in their wallet, they freeze 20XRP in it forever, so you cannot create another account. It's centralized, owned by banks..

I don't necessarily believe that Ripple is corrupt. But I do think that it draws from the qualities of cryptocurrencies being that they should be decentralised and they set themselves apart from fiat. That said, because it's halfway in between I do think it could draw a lot of attention from people on the edge who for whatever reason are hesitant of the cryptospace which could lead to some good growth.

I don't necessarily agree with the concept or the intent of Ripple.  But if I can make money trading it then I'll do it.  That being said - there are plenty more profitable alts out there to trade.

If you want a centralized coin then why would you use cryptocurrency? You can just use dollars.

I'm just making a wild guess here, so correct me if I'm wrong. Smiley
Thats right but there is a difference between XRP and Ripple system.
Banks interested in Ripple net but not in XRP
You are right,
Banks are interested with ripple net so people who bought XRP knows that it has a product

Ripples are undercontrolled of whales and sharks. The valuation of it increasing or decreasing always cause of whales and sharks.
There nothing nature such as big supplies or big demands at all like other normal coins. That's why Ripples are really bad and could be presented for corruptions.

Ripple has been one of the most promising projects for centralized banks since its inception. Since Ripple has been the first bridge connecting banks and crypto, it is the only way banks will accept cryptocurrencies through. Just keep hodling XRP, it was a good investment you've made, trust me.

People hate the banking system and centralization that is why most of the people choose cryptocurrencies, that is why XRP is being hated so much because the bankers who created XRP adopted the banking system to XRP's structural system,so it will be more centralized than any coin in the market plus the supply is pre mined not unlike other coins that you need to mine using rigs.,centralization was the main problem but XRP has been kissing the banker's ass that is why most of the people wont and will never support this coin.

Ripple (XRP) is a centralized coin so it can be easily manipulated by the banks :/

May be you mean "by  the developers"? As I know banks doesn't store Ripple as deposit Smiley
But you're right when somebody have most part of stoks/tokens/XRP he (they) can make his own 'game'.

Maybe, Ripple is really not bad coin and idea is quite well. But I cannot see real chance to get some profit if I decide to invest in it. The growth of price almost equals to zero

Ripple is not a bad coin, but it seems bad because of not being de-centralized. It is fast and has a good functionality for financial world. Lately, Saudi Arabia's Central Bank announced a blockchain deal with Ripple. So, XRP seems to start spreading all around the world. I think it will be a valuable coin very soon.

So I invested in ripple a while ago before I really knew exactly what it was (I was just diversifying my portfolio) but after reading a bunch of stuff about ripple on the net about it being centralized and how they can hold your money etc. etc. It makes me want to sell all my ripple (For a good price of course). But I'm also thinking only believe half of what you read on the internet and these people could just be talking BS etc etc.

SO the point of me making this thread is basically starting a convo for all the reasons why ripple is a bad thing (borderline evil) at least that is how I see it right now. So if we can have a discussion about all the things that are good/bad about ripple I would love to hear everyone's feedback?

Thanks

Ripple - was and will be a bank coin. He will not disappear anywhere, it is followed by major players and banks. I expect more correction and after i will enter. For me personally this is a more speculative asset. One half of the year ripple dumped and after dump, it shows us a big grows in 2-3 weeks. I think u can make good money with ripple but not hold it for years.

The coin is contradictory. And in general, it is not a cryptocurrency. But that did not stop me from buying it and making a profit.
