As of Instagram, it is a community oriented image sharing website, what would be the point of adding bitcoin there?

hmmmm. A Changetip plug-in for Instagram could work.... users could solicit donations from ardent followers by promising to upload photographs depicting something specific.

You can donate bitcoin with changetip on Facebook and Twitter. Snapchat has it's own in-house currency for payments, available only to US users though. As of Instagram, it is a community oriented image sharing website, what would be the point of adding bitcoin there?

isnt btc ready for mainstream yet?

Mainstream? meaning more users?
No bitcoin is not ready at this time.

Bitcoin transactions are at near capacity now and could only cope with a few more users before fees and transaction gridlock start to drive people away.

I think they are big companies and they will add it when bitcoin get full pledged fame all over the world, as people from all over the world are on these sites and when they add it, people will get confused, but I think they should have to add it if they want to support bitcoin.

btc will not need world fame, just a few more eyes on the prize and we'll all be winners.

FB, Snapchat, and Instagram understand that the demand is simply too small. In order for demand to exist, the consumer must have motivation to use bitcoin. Currently, there is no motivation for a consumer to exchange fiat to bitcoin so he can buy something he could have already bought with fiat.

That's absolutely full of contradictions. One sentence the demand is too small, the next it doesn't exist. Yet exchanges have at least some credible trade volume, no? I suspect that constitutes demand.

You state no motive exists for buying Bitcoin, so presumably everyone who has bought Bitcoin up to now did so for no reason at all? Is that the reason you personally bought or hold BTC, nothing?

See? It's as if your goal is to contradict people as possible Roll Eyes
"Demand is too small" is a valid statement, based on the fact that said demand "does not exist." Where do you see a contradiction?
And of course there's demand on exchanges, that's the "speculation part of bitcoin being "practical for value storage, speculation, and darkmarket purchases."
But yeah, I agree with you, FB either hates making money, or has been infiltrated & compromised by Zionist shills. Zuckerberg Roll Eyes 'Nuf said.

Bitcoin is currently practical for value storage, speculation, and darkmarket purchases. It can't currently compete with traditional payment methods.

FB, Snapchat, and Instagram understand that the demand is simply too small. In order for demand to exist, the consumer must have motivation to use bitcoin. Currently, there is no motivation for a consumer to exchange fiat to bitcoin so he can buy something he could have already bought with fiat.

The solution is to put the cart behind the horse and to concentrate on payroll/wage integration. Consumer gets paid in bitcoin, consumer spends bitcoin. This is the path to mainstream adoption. Community must switch position of cart and horse, and focus on that which must come first.

This is so because in many countries people are not aware of bitcoins and many(most) governments do not support bitcoins. If they will start accepting bitcoins then it will be a great promotion to this cryptocurrency and will become manifolds.

Because those are all corporate scumbags that sell user information for profit (or influence). The last thing they want is to empower their users (or neuter their government crony friends), hence they're not interested in Bitcoin.

would you do it in their place? they have billions. Who cares about BTC users? 2-3 millions at most Smiley

But by this logic Valve shouldn't have let Steam have Bitcoin payments as well because Gabe Newell is a very wealthy person and he can literally swim in fiat money but they did accept it right? Yes corporations are very rich but one simply can't have enough money and there is always a room for improvement Grin If they conclude that including Bitcoin will be beneficial to them they will certainly add it to their systems. They may not care about Bitcoin users right now, but their current stance could change when Bitcoin has a much bigger market capitalization and a bigger user base. Will they miss out on free money by avoiding the Bitcoin users? Well it remains to be seen  Grin

Those apps are way too popular to add something like Bitcoin yet. Most people don't know what Bitcoin is. In Steam is different since gamers are into computers, and may benefit from BTC. FB, IG users and so on are too dumb to benefir from Bitcoin yet, but we will get there eventually.

I think all of them will gradually start accepting bitcoin but they are accepting paypal and actually paypal have problem with the merchant who also like to accept bitcoin. So when paypal can't just ignore bitcoin strength in micro payment field surely including paypal all fb, twitter etc will take deposit through bitcoin.

Paypal may also add bitcoin buttom in right side after visa, mastercard etc logo in there accepted method. Grin Wink

Most companies are wary about BTC because it is not regulated currency. In one country definition of 'what is bitcoin" can be diametrically opposed to definiton of another country.
For example in USA, IRS declared that bitcoin is 'property' and Japan calls it 'currency'. These inconsistencies, and lack of formal laws is the major deterrent to bitcoin adoption.

If one of the big names will add Btc the others will follow fast.  I think that the problem with Btc is that some country's don't see it as something legal. Social media can't operate if they get banned because of they added BTC as payment option.
