The reason is simple, women don’t like anything that is risk-related. Gambling is a game for men because women can hardly risk their money. Women get involved with the thing that is within their control, so gambling to them is a no-go area.

I Think this thread should be moved to Gambling Discussion.

In my opinion Men are involve in Gambling than women is because of our society. In our society Men is who Maintain the family. Who are think about money. And most of the time Men are earning money (most of the cases women live in only home). So the simple things Who have money will do gambling. Who have not then can not do gambling. lol. And this is also true that Men can take more risk than women. This is also a big reason.

I doubt a third of gamblers are women.  It seems to me that there are much fewer of them.  According to my observations, women play in the company of acquaintances without such excitement as men and mostly to flirt and play along with men.  In my environment, there is not a single woman who I could refer to as gamblers.  Only guys.

Depending on the popularity in a particular country that does dominate gambling. Indeed, women can also happen as the data above. The gambling population is not enough just based on one or two specific data taken from one sample only. Maybe if we can make some kind of statistical calculation of all the country's data that does enforce gambling for women, it can be used as a reference.

However, if one were to assume, women might be more appropriate to work in casinos as support operators, or as casino promoters.

Because you need balls to risk your money.
Women are generally more risk averse than men, and old men are more risk averse than young men. So you can connect the dot that most gamblers are young men.

Men and women are identical with masculinity, not in terms of the gender of the gamblers. The characteristics of masculinity are inherent in men and gambling is also synonymous with challenging things. So broadly speaking, women are quite feminine figures (in the beginning) but this is all changing times, and of course gambling can also be entered by women in this case.

One thing I want to ask you? where do you see the female side tends to have difficulty in gambling?
Because in my opinion there is no gender standard if indeed women are also basically already involved in gambling as a means to entertain themselves. Even in some countries, like in England we recently discovered, they dominate gambling. As @kryptqnick said, the data shows almost the same level of stability. However, this has made us pay more attention on a different side that women will have the same potential and position in gambling, depending on their level of mastery.

The gender ratio is indeed in favor of men, but not by that much. From the data I found, it was 69% of males to 31% of females, so it's not that hard to find women that are into gambling. Looking at data that's specific to Great Britain and frequency of gambling, it seems that the divide might be even smaller, but women gamble less often. So the gap is probably related to the general gender gap that's caused by expectations and upbringing, and it can vary from region to region based on how equal men and women are in that region. Also, what's interesting is that men seem to be more at risk to be problem gamblers, and this stays the same in different sources. It might also have to do with upbringing, but perhaps this is also related to why men gamble more.

It's very hard to see ladies indulge in gambling despite gambling pays most times, only men enjoy the fun in gambling. Do ladies see gambling as something hard or stressful to them? Or they do not fancy it at all.
