I believe they are similar. On long term both are unprofitable, both involves high risk and some luck. HYIPs steal you, that is true, but you don't know when this will happen and at gambling you don't know when the long loss streak will happen, the only thing we know is that sooner or later the long loss streak happens and the HYIPs steal you. That is a similarity.

Gambling is better because it's a game and not only an "investment", so as you said, it's possible to have some fun (entertainment purposes).

To less experienced and young minds, they get easily tempted because of the promise of high rewards. But I think most of us here are already wise enough to refuse to join hyip and doublers because they are just scams and you will lose more than win.

hey buds not because of that mate they prefer to go with hyip because they are expecting that who comes first are the beneficiaries of great returned
unlike with gambling/provably games that's in anyhow they will just lose their money especially if they got engaged to much, so they will choose to gamble
with hyip instead playing with their luck.

HYIP and gambling is the same as each other because they contain high risk. But, HYIP is more terrible than gambling because it is not good, it is created by scammers and people will 100% lose their money in HYIP. Gambling is somehow better than hyip. But there is always the house edge and therefore, there will be a chance that you will lose all of your money. Therefore, I think that provably fair games are only for entertaining purposes

Yeah, sweetened words can easily caught investors that hunger for profit. They typically didn't do research and invest by looking only in profit plan. Also I conclude that people easily hook up to ponzi instead of gambling because ponzi has promise to have sure profit (even if it is false) while gambling image was full of risk so investors choose the easy way.

Yeah Young ones just tend to go on and without any kind of knowledge involve in playing it, they are young and wild in every type of thing they do they simply go for it and have an ego that they can not lose to something like that, and I don't think there are a no such thing as fair with gambling and everyone knows about this.

yeah let that bad experience become your precious lesson, nowadays people have learned from other people experiences and this kind action shouldn't be repeated. people should be more smart on making decision to invest. and HYIP aren't a good place at all to put your money in. better to looking for your luck here in several card games.

I lost some money in the past with HYIP and I will never try it again. I shared my bad experience in social medias too, hence most of my friends should aware about the risk and won't touch it. And as I read from what people wrote in forum, blog, and many other places about HYIP and doubler, they gave both, bad reputation. So, I think most people do not prefer hyip and doubler these days.

It's true, one facebook local group that I joined most of them just post their profits from hyip saying the site is still paying and share their referral links from different doublers. I was expecting to see some nice discussion in the group but was disappointed to see only hyip posts. They're so in to it because they want to get free easy money by letting their money sit in their site

Some people prefer that because they thought that they will get instant money by joining those kind of sites. But they don't know that once the site got enough money they just run and create another site. People who are especially new to Bitcoin , crypto are often the victims of this kinds of site. I also admit that when i was new here i got scammed by joining some site like this.

Because of greediness and the same time is on its laziness on earning money.They do love fast and easy profits which it doesnt really need to exort efforts which most people do really fall off on this kind of scams.Most newbies do really think on this way even myself when i was still new on this field i do accept that im greedy on those days which really cause loss of money.

Why do you say that? That it not true for me, and I actually thought it wasn't true for most people. Every time I see a new game thread on the gambling thread, most users ask for it to be provably fair, and I keep saying users advising others to stay away from hyips. I also don't agree that with provably fair you can win a good amount. It's gambling, so you will most likely lose money, but I'm more confidant that I will not get scammed and that works for me, as I'm not trying to get rich from gambling.

Where did you get that mostly people prefer HYIP's and doublers? I think that such websites are fetting less popular now. Many people now realize that is not safe place to invest money. Even cloud mining ponzi websites now are less popular than it was year or two ago.
Now people prefer to invest in ICO's rather than gambling websites. But ICO's can be very similar to ponzi schemes. Coin devs always giving loud promises and ambitious plans, but not always ICO ends successfuly and investors also can lose money.

Those people that like hyip and doublers are people that do not actually gamble, they think these hyips and doublers are real investment opportunities that will give them a lot of profit, but in reality they are nothing but scams that will run away with their money. So I think they are just delusional in thinking they will profit big time from these scams!

It's very simple, the definition of HYIP and doublers to the young minds of the people that aren't aware they are scam, is this is a legit investment. And they don't want to take the risk in gambling as it is gambling. This is the possible reason that I can see why instead of gambling they chose those scammy thing, well both are risky though.
