I guess their purpose may be just to get merits or to get responses from others. But these are not substantive returns.

The thing is that those newbies who copy other people's texts have several accounts, it is difficult to call them newbies. Since today's fake newbies are familiar with the merit system, which seems a little odd to real newbies.
A forum about cryptocurrencies, about bitcoin, but many consider it only as a way to make money. Therefore, we see other people's copied texts on the forum with only one interest, get merits, and start participating in bounty companies.

Note: some people...

Did you just read the first message of the OP?
All other messages to you, unfortunately, as I can understand, are not interesting?
And it is already banned today.

Then I hasten to inform you that your advice is no longer relevant since the OP is banned

Note: some people don't like to respond to a post that are not really understandable, and post that is ambiguous in character or through write-up without spacing, from my perspective or observation, people, they think that such kind of post are congested and it will be difficult to understand, when i viewed the post you dropped the link, the post is very congested no breathing space when reading it, and again try to observe punctuation make, so that reader will comprehend perfectly when reading your text, and try to admit your errors if correction is made by anyone.

Don't worry about the OP. This is not his only plagiarism. And it is already banned today.

If we talk about the appeal, then it is possible to ask him how many accounts he has on REDDIT? Since a simple check of his posts, yesterday, gave out a few more plagiarisms. And they all belong to different members.

It seems to be the case, but sometimes I wonder why newcomers always want to copy articles from other media.

Take the risk of being banned to steal other people’s articles.

I guess their purpose may be just to get merits or to get responses from others. But these are not substantive returns.

I was worried at the beginning that no one would reply to me and would not get merit. But after a month of posting and replying, I found that as long as you contribute your own strength and help others answer questions, you will definitely get a Merit in the end.

I adjusted the reddit time to UTC time.I'm not sure if this is due to the different time zone causing the time display error.

Obviously OP's posting time is earlier than reddit's posting time.

It seems that OP plagiarism cannot be judged only by this post (unless it is a serial plagiarism)

That Reddit account is barely a week old. Perhaps he could have created it and decided to repost the same thing for some Karma

Ok cheers. I went through current post but not the already deleted posts (viewable here as a subset: https://loyce.club/archive/members/308/3086177.html - currently not working apparently) before giving him the technical benefit of the doubt.

To be fair, it seems that you’ve got a point there with the time difference. The timestamp of the unedited post would give the upper hand to @ZOOOOM vs Reddit @sverlinas2, and if nobody sees anything different, it gives him a fair chance to make an appeal as per the procedure.

If @ ZOOOOM considers the ban to be a false positive, he should plead his case first to the email address from which he was notified of the ban, and if not, he could create a thread on Meta for that sole purpose, detailing the grounds for the appeal, and whether the two accounts are the same person or not (@ZOOOOM vs Reddit @ sverlinas2).

I have read your post, and realize you doing well since you said you read a lot of posts and is helping you a lot, congratulations on your journey, regarding the merit, just do what you want, and never look if someone has given you merit or not, someone will give it to you, sooner or later, just continue what you have started, and share the information with others, interact with other topics, without expecting any, accept comments and don't take it personally.

Yes, I also hate people who plagiarize, which will turn bitcointalk into a garbage station.

I also read the contents of reddit carefully, exactly the same.

But I found a problem, did we blame the OP wrongly?

The OP has been banned:

See https://bitcointalk.org/modlog.php

It’s charming how people draw attention to themselves for something seemingly reasonable, and end up getting banned for having resorted to a vulgar copy/paste, likely in the hope of earning merits quickly.

It pays off much more to be oneself, and invest some time into reading and going in for a splash into terminology and concepts, that going in for a dump …

My first post

I registered on January 26, 2021. I was not active at the beginning. Recently, I started to read constantly. I felt that there was too much knowledge to learn. I tried to post the first post. As a result, no one responded to me. I made a brief summary. There are several reasons.

  • The content and the title are a bit inconsistent, and the expression is rather vague.
  • My own knowledge reserves are relatively small, and the opinions expressed do not bring enough value to the readers
  • Although it is not a plagiarism point of view, the point of view is too common and has some low value and meaninglessness. In my opinion, it's really boring.

I have been thinking about it these days, because I think the Bitcoin forum is indeed a treasure. Especially after reading some articles by heroes and legendary members, I feel that I have benefited a lot. I summarize some of my views, hoping to provide some reference for novices.

  • I will spend a lot of time reading high-quality posts, increasing my knowledge reserve, and not posting low-value, meaningless, boring posts and replies.
  • Read and study the rules of the forum carefully. For example, don't publish posts that are irrelevant to the topic, don't be a headline party, don't beg, don't conduct advertising, and don't publish worthless posts.
There are also no illegal, violent, pornographic posts or links, no illegal transactions, and so on.
  • In the discussion to maintain a high degree of activity, I once calculated that a legendary member would read at least dozens of posts, 10 replies, and report many worthless spam posts every day. In the forum, sincerity, truthfulness, and sincerity are the best attitudes. If you sincerely serve the forum and do helpful and meaningful things for the readers, you will get the recognition and advantages of others, and MERIT.

I believe that my posts will be seen and answered by more and more people. I will cheer and become a hero member first.
Don't feel bad about it bro why no body replied your post. Keep pushing and don't give up

Unfortunately, our newcomer shamelessly copied this wall of text from Reddit.
I'm just outraged by the behavior of today's newbies.
If someone noticed that several of his posts were deleted along with new open topics, then these are the consequences of removing plagiarism newbies, who stupidly copy everything from Reddit.
It appears apparently so with the level of evidence presented against OP which is undeniably true and a very shameful act indeed. Again, do you know what is more shameful and undermining of all, it's the fact that, OP still tries to lie about it and go about staing the obvious to be wrong in his current post.

For reasons such as these, tracking and ensuring that the ills or caught and treated like this, I appreciate the works of Lovesmayfamilis and the various DTs as we have them, for maintaining forum decorum, its not easy. I really hope these beginners get to learn some day. That it ain't joke over here and what is left unseen is only for a while.

Can't these people be any more original?

Just recently I merited one guy and moments later, that idiot got himself perm-banned for plagiarizing.

Indeed, an outright shame. As you say, and as I recently mentioned on my local board, answering on threads where the OP has plagiarized the content can have, as a lateral effect, the deletion of all participant posts, which is a waste of time for quite a few people.

I was actually looking at some similarities before, between the wording used by the OP, and another flourishing newcomer that posts on Beginners & Help and Bitcoin discussion, both using certain words here and there that are odd. Nothing conclusive, nor necessarily meaningful (unless both accounts are connected and one is banned), but had me there for a while.

By the way, the Reddit poster is also a plagiarist … having copied a post four days ago from a Bitcointalk post from @cheezcarls created back in April:

https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/ocaytj/bought_my_vitamins_with_bitcoin/
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/bought-my-vitamins-with-bitcoin-5331188

The post you refer to is a wall of text, that should be broken down into paragraphs to make it more digestible to the reader. Besides that, it’s too generic and confusing, without any easy to derive key points to comment.

Bitcoin Discussion will often thrive with threads that are easy to post in with no need to think or research much. A wall of text is seemingly off-putting even for those that many to jolt a quick generic answer.

Thank you for your reply, follow-up posts will do what you say, the views will be more refined, and people will reduce the pain of reading

also, this forum is not primarily a chat room, and you will find it difficult to find real interlocutors for some of the general topics you have touched on. cancer, AIDS, machine civilization, using technology you would probably get some reply if you move it in the off-topic section, there will always be some signature spammer who will reply with some nonsense.

I wanted to comment on your wrong use of the list code you initially posted, but you seem to have corrected it in the meantime. Instead of the format your opening post is in now, take a look at the what it could look like instead:

These are just simple changes that make the post look more professional. The content of the post should be your first priority. After that, you should focus on the presentation and the way it looks.

Honestly most of the users don't like to read a wall of text which is what you are talking about not getting any replies but look at this post you constructed it better and given some points about what you wanted to express and also arranged it with list bb codes as well.

Once your thread started to get replies the just interact there amd create it as discussion rather just for the sake of a topic.
