I used Poloniex once without any issues, but I didn’t like it because of poor customer support. It didn’t fit me also due to the confusing interface. Currently, I stick to Cex (https://cex.io) and I never had any problem neither with their customer support nor with authorization. The exchange has appropriate certificates and Fincen registration that speaks for its legality. So, maybe you should switch from Poloniex to another platform like I did?

I'll check that issue i use poloniex before since i was very active in trading  poloniex is one of the safest and friendly easy to use in trading with fast buy sell coins transaction.
One of the safest trading site yes but we can prevent problems or erros that the traders experienced. Other people did not use for trading poloniex anymore because they experienced some errors or some problems but it's their choice that they did not want to trade we have freedom to choose where we can trade our money and our coins to those exchnages site ourthink is safe.

I have verified account of Poloniex since 2016 and I did use if for 2 years because I'm out from trading,  and I was use it again last month and everything look normal and better. Although the trading volume decrease but they added more new coin. Poloniex is fully regulated  exchange is USA so I don't think they are fraud.

I wonder if polo resolved his situation here. Also, I've been a user of polo for years already and never encountered any hiccups whatsoever up until now. Maybe, he got his coins already? No updates from him yet?
Since the OP is not updating the thread it might be because he got his problem resolved and he does not want to spend time about it further, if not he would have updated already about the issue. Poloniex does have an issue with the delay in customer care response and when I had an withdrawal issue it took more than two weeks to get it resolved, since there are other sites I just moved on with it.

This is a very very bad experience. I used poloniex but I didn't feel comfortable when I used that so I quit for that exchange a long time ago. Now I am thinking I took a good decision by quitting the poloniex.

In my opinion, poloniex is one big fraud. Why? I already explain.
I have a polonax account for 3 years there was never a problem sometimes delays in payments or withdrawals, but what happened to me was a catastrophe.
I would like to emphasize that my account is verified with a personal ID !!.

A week ago, my 2fa went down and I decided to remove it using the Poloniex Support. A simple thing, create a query and wait patiently.
To my surprise, after the first ticket, it was closed after 40 minutes so I decided to write why then again it was closed without an answer.
After one week and after 20 tickets, I did not receive a response and the funds on my account are frozen without the possibility of logging in by a faulty 2fa.

Of course I have 16 digital conds to install google authenticator on another phone but it does not help.

And so I was robbed of the savings that I accumulated for 5 years. So tomorrow I go to the lawyer and to solve the problem. I will inform you about the progress on a regular basis.
Below I put the screenshot as evidence of idiotic behavior of help poloniex.

I am glad I stopped using Poloniex at the right time. To be honest, I started my trading on Poloniex and fortunately I didn't encounter any issues until the last trade on Poloniex.
It was around 2-3 years back and it is after that the exchange got hacked. Since the incident, I never dared to open the exchange again  Tongue

Waoo!! What pathetic situation for holding you funds for that long period of time. I think this is my first time of hearing something bad about poloniex exchange because I have been using poloniex exchange for a long time period without any issue though I don't keep much funds with them anyway. Can you let the house know the latest about your issue?

As someone who stepped into this sector in 2014, I would like to start by noting that I have not used Poloniex once. Especially in 2015 I saw so many complaints about Poloniex that keeping my money here was always a scary activity for me.
Poloniex was the main exchange to trade altcoins till they messed up and Bittrex took over their spot. Funny thing is that Bittrex then became the biggest exchange for a while, and lost its status the exact way Poloniex did.

I remember when Ethereum was up and coming with Poloniex generating 100K BTC volumes on a daily basis from that coin alone! The previous Poloniex owners made insane profits, plus sold the exchange itself for $400 million.

Binance is the exchange you want to deal with right now as newbie and veteran crypto trader. It's the first time that I have seen an altcoin exchange manage to maintain its position as top exchange for such a long period of time.

So sad that you have a bad experience using Poloniex, 5 years ago poloniex is one of the top 10 exchange at the coinmarketcap then after a years  goes by this exchange all of a sudden faced an issues about the same experienced which you've encountered it before. By that I decided to withdraw all my altcoins into poloniex due to its not good if I will remain in the platform.

We don't actually know the founder and location of Poloniex.
Poloniex  controls all private keys to the wallets holding your cryptocurrencies.
Switching to decentralized exchanges is necessary. Besides the aforementioned DexAge, I know that this year Binance will launch its own decentralized exchange.

This was my first exchange when I started with time I discovered more and more exchanges like Kraken and Bitstamp where you can trade crypto assets for fiat and it is much better for stability to my opinion. And with time I discovered another way of trading on decentralized exchanges like iDEX, EtherDelta which gives more power over your assets and recently I got to DexAge exchange which caught my eye with its transparency and ease and possibility to trade crypto to fiat as well. Right now I'm stick to decentralization.

I haven't encountered any issues with them before but I'm not using them now since they don't have new coins/tokens I'm looking with. Hopefully your could be resolved is they aren't answering to any of your tickets.
I think there are a lot of exchanges that are starting to show strange symptoms now and it looks like they are having problems in their company whether it's system or financial security because I see more and more exchanges affected by problems such as hackers and others. so it must be more careful because there are many victims of exchange at this time.

Why not use any exchange:
-verification
-they store your funds and you can lose it if exchange will be hacked.

any exchange service is without these issues. just find some with good reviews, f.e. changenow or any other
But some traders would use exchanger. And if we want to exchange our coins to fiat, need exchanger too. What we must know is about that risk, we don't have any choice to accept it.

My friend lost his 2fa code. And i help him to solve the problem using the support last year.  But to be in safe side. I stop trading at polinex Coz of bad support.
Last calling them scam coz of some problems not good idea.

A lot of people have been using Poloniex for a while without issues and haven't encountered sch problems to conclude they're a scam. It's nonetheless quite disturbing they've not responded to the ticket queries raised. If you can execute a legal action on them, I think you should pursue it rigorously as that's fraudulent.
I never encounter any problem also with this site and honestly, if I'm scammed, I would not pursue a legal action to the site because I believe it's not favorable to me due to the fact that I don't trade with big money. The process should be complicated as it could be costly and time consuming, I'll just let go of my loses but will let the public (community) know about their scams.

if we want to take steps to do some research first,  if we want to avoid fraud, confirm the interested parties, there are too many frauds in crypto trading, so our caution is very important for traffickers. if you feel doubtful, maybe we can report to the party who has the authority or law enforcement.

So far, I have never used Poloniex. I may use bittrex more often than poloniex. but, as I know, poloniex is one of the very good markets in the last few years. I did hear the bad news from this exchanger, but I hope that is not true.
If you never used it means how can you know about it,if you are trusting poloniex then try to use it and bring your feedback here but don't use too much money for the testing purposes because chances of losing is more,it was one of the best betore but slowing turning into scam exchanges I believe.

Poloniex is biggest exchange in USA and this exchange has higher daily trading volume than Bitttrex.  Make sure before make any deposit to have verified account because we can not withdraw the balance if the account not verified yet. Poloniex is first exchange that i have been use and they have good reputation among the trader.

If you have a problem with 2fa and you have a 16-digit code, then you can resume access to your account.
If after installing the authenticator on the phone and linking it to your Polonix account, the authenticator gives you incorrect passwords, then you most likely have incorrect time settings on your phone. Such a problem often occurs on Android devices. Look for information about this problem on the Internet. When using the iPhone, I have never seen such a problem.
If you are using an Android device, then try to install an authenticator on an iPhone.
Also, one of the reasons may be that your account was attempted to be hacked, so automatic protection worked. Try to wait a bit, maybe in a few days you will be able to access your account.

Speaking of polonix support service. Last year I also encountered a similar problem, only the situation was even worse, I didn't have a 16-digit code. Polonix support service helped restore my account access.

I would also like to say that I am very sorry that you have this situation. I sincerely hope that you will be able to solve this problem.

I recently red the problems poloniex allegedly has had. However, speaking about replacing the 2Fa, this might be a difficult task from code programming perspective. On our platform, I advise users to activate the SMS verification, then they would be able to reinstall g 2fa themselves. I don't know what poloniex could do in this case besides moving your assets into a new account.

I never had a problem with this trading website poloniex. Since start until now. Just delays in some moments but it will still come through.

I tried to understand your complaints and what you are experiencing about it.
But it looks like this is a security measure of them. Maybe it is for tou to avoid hacks since it is a 2FA problem. How many days had it been?
Maybe you are too worried for just a little amount of time. Try to contact them with another way. If you can afford a lawyer then maybe you can also afford another way to meet them or contact them.

Poloniex is basically owned by Circle right now, which is backed by Goldman Sachs one of the biggest companies in the whole world and most certainly one of the most successful in finance world. They basically bankrupted because of their greed and still managed to get bailed out by their lobbying.

Now, considering all of this I doubt they are after screwing their customers and making money that way, it wouldn't be smart. I am not saying they wouldn't do it if it profited them but giving their customers the best experience they can would profit them more than stealing from their customers. When they can make more money by becoming the best exchange out there why would they risk it by stealing money which I am sure quite unimportant compared to what they are already making and ruin their chance of more profits in the future.

I am starting to feel that exchanges have some sort of expiration date!
think about it, in the past we have had lots of good exchanges that had no issues. Mt Gox, Cryptsy, Bittrex, Btter, Bitfinex,... they all were functioning properly and nobody had any issues. then their expiration date came and they all scammed their users and ran away. of course not all scams were that big to end up with closing the exchange but they got enough victims to be considered a huge scam.

It's because people who haven't ever dealt with the responsibility that comes with managing a service like an exchange, and also the insane amounts of funds that come with it, don't know how to run a successful business. What happens when you try to run a random multi million dollar business? It will fail eventually because you lack the knowledge and the experience to run it properly.

On top of that, the operators of most of the exchanges you listed became so greedy, that they turned into thieves to rob their own users. No wonder exchanges keep failing. Incompetence + criminal operators isn't a viable combination to run any sort of business, because eventually they will implode.

75% of the current exchanges are ticking time bombs.

And so I was robbed of the savings that I accumulated for 5 years.

Poloniex scammed me!!!

Poloniex Your account has been locked 20 days 5 btc lost it

Poloniex - Account locked for 2 months with open ticket

Poloniex SCAMMED my 10400SC and 1400FLDC

Poloniex is stealing money.

Poloniex not closing my account nor letting me withdraw my funds - ~$44k

they in the past no longer had a good reputation and even now they do not have a good reputation, how the hell did you continue using poloniex even after they closed the trollbox and began to ignore their customers?

Currently trading volume of Poloniex surpass Bittrex and added more coin in trading platform.
The only reason Poloniex surpassed Bittrex in terms of volumes is because of the BCH fork drama. They run the standard BCH pair, and BCHABC BCHSV futures pairs, which automatically leads to higher volumes.

Considering that these futures pairs require regulatory approval, I wonder how they managed to get them up and running this fast. People might not see it as such, but it is in fact one of the most regulated platforms in the space.

The thing with Poloniex is that half of its users never had a problem to begin with, and the other half continuously experiences stuck withdrawals, spontaneous verification requests, blocked accounts, and so forth.

It makes me wonder though, who's there to blame? What is the half that never experiences any problems doing different from the rest?

I am starting to feel that exchanges have some sort of expiration date!
think about it, in the past we have had lots of good exchanges that had no issues. Mt Gox, Cryptsy, Bittrex, Btter, Bitfinex,... they all were functioning properly and nobody had any issues. then their expiration date came and they all scammed their users and ran away. of course not all scams were that big to end up with closing the exchange but they got enough victims to be considered a huge scam.

I'm not use Poloniex because they always change rules and some rules are really hard to understand. After that my transactions some times get delay and support team can't fix it, wait too long and make me stress. Poloniex good ( was ) but by the time they look's bad. Try another one like Hitbtc, Kucoin and Livecoin.

It's terrible, you have reported to the customer service department but there is no answer? I used to use poloniex, some of them hacked my account, it was on Russian ip, luckily I hadn't put all my assets there. I hope your problem is resolved.

Well it really boils down as to what traders experience on it though. I mean there's always two side of the story, others may find Polo still friendly because they don't encounter any issues yet, but majority like the OP had a bad working experience with them. Similar to what HitBTC has been in the last 6 months or so, too many traders crying they have been scam, but you will still see trading volumes still going on eventhough they got a lot of scam accusations in this community.

wow, i have never used Poloniex but through this information i dare not use it in the future. I really do not like the supporters ignoring the problems of investors. it was worse. I think you should put money on a better trading platform like OKEX, Binance or Kucoin. These are good trading floors and have very good security. They have very professional support staff.

I used Poloniex since 2015 and so far i never get any problem with them. Poloniex sgould be offer better customer support and easy to contact, just like others Asian exchange offer customer support via telegram. Currently trading volume of Poloniex surpass Bittrex and added more coin in trading platform.
