Why? There are more countries that really need financial assistance and China is not one of them. Yes, the outbreak is pretty big but considering it is in China financial is not an issue there surely the government can easily fund and handle this problem.
Indeed, they don't have any problems when it comes to financial conditions. Their government can spend the needed funds for the needs of its own people. China can handle this and there is no need for anyone to interfere with how they fight the coronavirus.
I agree  more of them can even manage to have a tour any where in the world . The real problem is
The virus not  financial so they need to solve how to make a cure so every one of those infected countries can help them to heal from those sickness.
Many countries now is looking for a solution to that problem we can only do is to wait for them to invent a cure  before this problem can cause more damage  .

You should clear this out OP where would you donate?
Corona Virus already spread to so many countries not just in China,
And how could we know that the donation would really be sent to the affected areas?

The outbreak isn't happening is some poor African country, Chinese hospitals can take care of their patients, there's no need to make any donations. It also won't be very helpful from a PR point of view, the media doesn't care when Bitcoiners donate money to anything, they still call it a tool for criminals.

Also, OP, you're walking on thin ice here - you may be tagged as a scammer for publicly soliciting donations without having established reputation and showing proofs that you are in fact ready to deliver the funds to its destination.
Indeed people would doubt it since OP is just a low rank and doesn't have any background record or anything.
People don't just trust anything that people would say out of the thin air even if your intention was good you would still be look down as a scammer by some of the members.
But you could send help to them by giving out free mask to some countries that has been affected since there would be some panic buying that would happen and the supply could be short.

China is a wealthy nation and currently has the second-largest economy just a spot behind the USA, they have the money to deal with CoronaVirus treatment. They just built a hospital bed of 1,000 capacity in 6days which is a world-class hospital. What is needed now is prayers and major scientific research on how to stop the Virus and care the already infected victims.

I am not sure whether this is the right place to ask this question. Mods please move it to right topics.

Since corona virus has been declared as an medical emergency. why not we as a community donate some of our Bitcoins to help those suffering.

I need some good individuals who can help me to help those needy.

What I plan is very simple:

1 we collect Bitcoin.
2 we should know someone who can convert Bitcoin tol local fiat.
3 we then ask them to transfer that money to the needy or send foods and other necessary items to them.

If you think you can help me in this cause then do DM me.

Let's do it.

What do you think?

Please do not reply for the sake of signature campaign. I am serious and want to help those who need help.
The idea is good but the problem is whether who will do that stuff as I am not sure also whether you have the capacity to do it. Number is one is not a problem as we can easily collect bitcoins if we will address it to the needy especially those who were affected by the virus.

I am worried with #2 and number #3, as it is very difficult to do especially if you have no capacity in doing it as you will surely need a permission from the government of China before you can proceed with the plan.

There is a fund prepared by the government for this kind of situation, so we don't need to donate , and its not like any natural disaster that we can easily bought , food and water, this epidemic is different

Not disputing the fact that; this happening in China isn't a natural disaster but an epidemic, so, this should be a major concern to the China and her citizens. I heard that, many of their equipment got exhausted and currently running on shortage. These stocks(medical wears) can be provided indeed to lease their suffering, so, donations should be encourage to China to fight against this killer epidemic ravaging the great China.

This is such a risky move, because you still need to prove that you will not scam those who also wanted to help. There are a lot of processes to take if you want to encourage others to help people who are infected with Corona Virus. It is very good to help those people who are in need, but then you need to consider a lot of factors so that you won't end up giving problems to others.

What do you mean by this ...!

Almost all members here have used sig, to produce Bitcoin.

How people here donate (donations) that you programmed, for the corona virus, whereas you told them not to reply here.
This is not clear.

You yourself created this topic because you are in the 777coin campaign.

To topic:
What is needed by the world government and corona virus sufferers is not Bitcoin or money.

Many people do the same thing, instead, eventually scam.

Coronavirus: Scammers follow the headlines

Humans are attacked by the corona virus mostly billionaires.
Now, money is no longer needed for sufferers of the corona virus.

What is needed is medicine for healing and also for research to find ways to treat it.

People who donate to research:

The outbreak isn't happening is some poor African country, Chinese hospitals can take care of their patients, there's no need to make any donations.
What's more needed is more stock of N95 respirator masks in poorer countries that are somewhat affected by nCoV like the Philippines.
Indeed, due to the demand for N95 mask, stores are running out of stock and its hard to get one because other sellers that has stocks are taking advantage the situation and selling their product with much higher price that ordinary people cant afford.

When it comes to donating our bitcoin I dont think its necessary because the government particularly China is capable to sustain the needed medicines, facilities for those affected of this virus. I think what we can do is to pray for this virus to stop spreading and the victims to be cured.

I don’t think donating bitcoins at this stage will help instead people should come together and send shipments of the N95 masks, and cartoons filled with sanitisers as these two things can effectively counter the spread of the virus out there. Also as far as I know Apple manufacturer Foxconn is producing masks in China to help the people out there, and hence I would once repeat that they need urgently need masks and sanitisers and not our money.

China spent around 977 million CNY to build those special hospitals equipped with around 1k beds to treat those patients found with Corona virus, and China is one of those countries where a lot of BTC was already mined and traded and they still do it.

This corona virus is not only a concern for China but globally. China has the capability to support their countrymen when it comes to money assistance which I think that Bitcoin donations seem to be helpless in the matter that this country also banning crypto. Maybe, if we are directly giving them medical supplies for infected people will be appreciated most but the problem is that some countries are now banning transport (in and out) from China which is difficult to send our medical support. And the other option is to send money for them and for the safety assurance not to spread the virus anymore.

I wish the Chinese one party system wouldn't demonstrate such fascist values in the outbreak of a deadly virus. First they sent aid, and then they continue to deny the censorship that even led to this. I don't know how many more disasters the Chinese people could go through to realize that this can't go any more.

I would gladly donate to the cause but knowing the Chinese fov, I don't trust them. I would rather put my money in Hong Kong or Taiwan. Or better yet poorer countries in. the region.

Not to be rude. But I don't think China or any other country need our bitcoin for Corona virus. China was able to build a huge hospital for Corona virus patients in less than 2 weeks(That's actually incredible). China is also one of the richest countries in the world, they practically lend other countries funds.
So there is no need for any contribution if you ask me.
If there is a natural disaster or an epidemic they wont mind collecting donations, they have built huge hospitals but the things that are coming out are not that great. They were unable to control the outbreak and now the virus has spread to some countries, i am not sure about their lending practices to other countries but they might be helping third world countries but that does not mean they will not entertain donations.

There are problems that stick when we put BTCs in the process of donating to the patients who have corona virus.

First, the government of China has the necessary funds of creating hospitals and providing equipments needed in order to treat the virus. Second, even if we donate some BTCs to the ones affected, they would not be able to use it due to being isolated and contaminated. Third, it is better if we donate some of our BTCs to countries who are underdeveloped (e.g. countries in Africa, etc.) and lastly, better armed yourselves with the necessary funds before donating! The virus can quickly spread as it slowly becomes an epidemic to the world.

I appreciate the thought of OP but it would be better if we let the government exercise its power in treating the virus.

To make a donation campaign like this you have to be an established entity with a proven record. You just cannot randomly start your own, and expect the money to actually reach its intended destination.

If OP collects money, who is going to ensure it reaches China? And the entirety of it? Sure the Chinese government probably accepts donations, and such donations probably wouldn't even be used for the virus and there is no way you can even audit that. Some organizations send things instead (such as masks) but again they will go to the government and then they will decide who gets them and who don't, and what quantity.

LOL... do you really think that users like me would be willing to donate our coins, if some random user starts a donation page? I have never donated to any individual whom I can't personally verify. I have donated to government agencies and I have done the same for private organizations and individuals who are trusted across the globe.

In case China wants our help, then they should allow the government agencies to accept donations in Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies (which is not possible as of now, since BTC can't be used for making payments within China). I would be more than willing to donate, in case China retracts some of its anti-Bitcoin laws and regulations.

I believe that above the financial assistance, China, needs numerous medical professional and staff in order to provide adequate services to all the nCov carriers. If there will be a way to convince medical practitioners especially those who are very capable of contributing in making solution to this outbreak it should be done right now. I think financial assistance is an enticing motivator but security assurance of their own welfare would be their priority. If we pursue crowdfunding to save China's health care, how can we make sure that these donations would be on the hands of the chosen receiver?
