Perhaps some people are investing in unpromising ICO projects because of insufficient knowledge and experience in the field of crypto investment.
In any case, they must be prepared for losses. Maybe they aren`t sufficiently aware of this!

Because people who are engaged in cryptoinvestment really believe in interesting ICO projects that will help this world. People who didn't invest for quick profit and listing on exchanges in near time. Hold-peoples Smiley Also these are people who love the risk.

Not all ICOs are bad. I have a number of them that I invested in and they are now listed on reputable exchanges. So the fact that someone invested in ico does not mean that the person invested blindly. I think you arrive at your conclusion based on the number of scam ICOs that we have witnessed lately.

All investment carry some risk.

What I do is read the whitepaper to understand if the team is innovating a solution for a problem.

As soon as BTC rises again, people get bullish and throw their money at everything crypto-related that might yield some form of interest; sometimesout of sheer greed. This will continue to happen until a) there is no more money, b) it's regulated in the form that there are no ICOs anymore or c) until they learn. Whatever comes first  Cheesy

To the OP I'm sure those who invest in ICO still do some research and not just invest blindly as you think. It is their belief in the ICO that made them invest and losing is part of the ballgame.

I think not everyone invest to 'all' ICO. BEfore investing people analyse the ICO project and details. After that if they believe then invest.

The characteristics of these ICO projects are the ability to increase profits faster and higher than conventional forms, but also potentially much riskier. Before investing in any field, investors should thoroughly research and make a decision.
It is not easy to invest in an ICO. You have to choose a good ICO that has the potential to grow in the future and bring benefits to the community. Feasibility

It’s all about high risk, and to a big extent... greed.  People feel if they get in early, they can make a lot money.  Careful, most icos don’t do anything or just outright scams.

They will contribute something they bear to lose. Since that is the thing that you call contributing and taking chance. This is a high-risk investment, but if the project is really good, it will give x5-X10. Read whitepapper carefully

I think the word "investing" is wrong for most people, it should be "gambling." They just like the adrenaline rush or the hope that they will win something big.
Meanwhile, sophisticated investors really calculate risk vs return. In this case, they have their own calculation about how big the probability of a coin will be listed on exchanges.

Yes all are rushing for ICO now a days just because of in the end of 2017 few icos were gave a massive return and since then all people are rushing to make some profit from ICO. I think ICO is a good way to make money but problem is that 90% ICO's are scam, so you need to be careful and have to do lots of research before investing in an ICO.

The ico's which was not listed in an exchange probable don't reached their softcap. As we know ICO are doing crowdfunding here and if there aren't a lot of investors or believers with their project it may likely not succeed. In the other way around, ICO's whose been hyped gets better attention and of course more money, that is why they can afford to be listed in exchanges either by paying or community votes

Actually if it gets the value from the exchange it will be listed I would not invest in that ico, but exchange is important and the reason they are not listed is mostly about the project.

Greed is a big factor. They think about the 10x 100x 1000x that are possible with ico but it is the same as playing lotto. You have a chance of winning big money but the possibility is just low

Investing in ICOs is a high risk-high reward kind of investment. Some people invest knowing the risks, and some people invest simply because they're easily convinced by big crypto-buzzwords and because of greed. Investing in ICOs definitely can work and rack you in good money, that's if you know what you're doing.

I think people are buying because they heard that they can make a lot ROI without really checking the product...

Thats what you call "investing". People believe in those projects, therefore they are willing to invest some money early on and hope, that the investment pays out. Simple as that.

I have seen a lot new upcoming ICOs launching but I do believed most of it are not able to be listed in crypto exchanges. However, there are many believer are still blindly invest all kinds of ICOs. Why that?
Why do you think that most of them will not be listed on the exchange? listing on DEX and Centralized exchanges that have low trading volume is not a difficult thing for them, I'm not sure I agree with you, the question of when listed on the exchange always appeared even before the ICO is open, and I think it arises because investors don't want to invest in an ICO project that doesn't guarantee its coins will be listed on the exchange in the near future
