Maybe, the reason behind this is that, Bitcoin have already established strong connection to people as well as reputation. Bitcoin also, is more profitable than Altcoins because of its high rate of increase on its marjet value, especially for long term investment. Altcoins are also a good investment but Bitcoin when it comes to investment, is way better in my ooinion. And maybe that is one of the reasons.

probably most people think altcoin is an investment place that has the same money-making opportunity with bitcoin, but it's not that simple, altcoin has a big chance and just needs a little capital to invest there but the risk is too big, there are a lot of altcoin scam the price goes down and does not go up again, and sometimes some run away with investment money, that's why people prefer bitcoin as their investment place because bitcoin is safer than altcoin

As most have said here Bitcoin is the most well known cryptocurrency. This is a big factor towards investment. Far more people have heard about Bitcoin than say Litecoin. For those just starting out in cryptocurrencies Bitcoin is also probably the easiest to invest in.

Because people see a lots of benefits with bitcoin especially people see a potential on bitcoin. Bitcoin became popular since bitcoin made a lot of millionaire today. I think people become more interested with bitcoin because of the price on it. My friend tell me that it is only $100 before and if I have only time machine I will going back in that day and buy more and more bitcoin and sell it at $50,000 each soon. So I am one the millionaire. We should invest in bitcoin because it will going to explode more in the coming future for a better economy and better life.

I think it's a purely psychological issue, because in my opinion bitcoin no longer meets the minimum requirements to be considered a really practical and usable cryptocurrency, and even its great volatility makes it unreliable as a store of value, which is why it gives me the impression that at this time people still buy it more as a collectible item for purely speculative purposes than as a really useful asset.

I have to say the turth, bitcoin has a great reputation over altcoin, investing in bitcoin is more desirable because of its growing price to date, that alone is enough reason why people choose investing in bitcoin than of altcoin

I don't think many people are still holding bitcoin but if there are they must be whales of bitcoin. just come to think of it, why would someone with small amount or fraction of bitcoin hold it more than alts? i don't mean to advertise any alts but mathematically speaking profits will be better if you get a hundred percent gain when a coin of small value pumps.

Btc is well known in the market, ironically people will not know what cryptocurrency is but they might have heard about btc and think of it as a digital currency. Btc still has a higher market cap compare to most alt's so that's another reason trader's prefer to trade with it and also it's much more popular.

no i do not expect to bitcoin.

I prefer to invest in some alcoins
such as ETH and possibly the coin has the same chance with bitcoin.
The reason I do not want to invest in bitcoin is because of the expensive bitcoin price so far

Bitcoin was the first ever created. So it is the one the most spread, quite logically, the easier to use and also... the "less risky". It is risky, of course, and much more than any fat currency, but as it was the first, it is quite emblematic... And therefore the risks taken can be seem as more reasonable.

Then, many businesses have been developed around bitcoin. For the users and creators, it is not necessarily easy to switch from one coin to another. So they keep bitcoin!

Though, if you want to invest in another alt coin, you still have quite a large choice. You should find something suitable to your needs! Wink

a lot of people remain to look at bitcoin as their digital asset investment are due its popularity make them feel secure to put the money in , also with its large community make them not so hard to find a solution in case they are in trouble. simple as that.

the answers depend on people personal reasons but i personally still stick to bitcoin rather than altcoins because bitcoin can give me a lot of benefit especially from my financial side and since i know bitcoin i could able to making money from it although i would not denied that altcoins can give me the profit to but my main reason still stay in cryptocurrencies because of bitcoin
