You would still need a lot of other participants in buying real estate or other expensive things (I wouldn't call them third parties, though). With Bitcoin, you would likely need even more lawyers since there is less chance to prove that you paid (or received) coins to or from your counterparty if your seller (buyer) starts to claim that he has nothing to do with you or doesn't even know you. With bank transfers all transactions from one person to another can be easily traced and confirmed (since banks have all the personal info which could be used and accepted as proof in the court) but this is obviously not the case with Bitcoin.
