i think this hype thing in the crypto community is just normal wherein this is part of the strategy for new ICO that are just beginning to operate and encourage more people to participate. Hype on the crypto market is part of handling their strategy to see to it that people will be impressed on how they broadcast their project platform and what the people will be expecting if they would invest to such ICO.

Because most do not know what they’re investing in and would rather listen to the crowd. What happens then? Prices crash once you’ve bought into it. Taking a loan or using all your life savings can be hugely risky, especially if you do not have the prerequisite knowledge on the tech and the coins. Be informed. Ask the right people. Arm yourself with knowledge before jumping on the hype-wagon. This would significantly reduce your risk and most importantly, position you to invest in the long-term fundamentals of the technology.
A lot of people fell for they hype, the hype is what brought so much money into the market and the whales capitalized on that. There are so many people who bought coins without even looking to check what the coins that they are buying are all about. They don't even know what cryptocurrencies are, they just think that the coins will make them millionaires overnight and now they are watching the value of their coins plummet.

It’s the idea that brought so much hype in the crypto world. Although it’s very new it has great potential and cryptos make transactions safe, fast and easy. Many has made losses investing while there are others who made good profits. It’s better to if you listen to both the parties and do a bit analyzation with the data you gathered before jumping in this hype train.

totally agree.  there are too much hype about crypto.  but I think crypto will rule the world one day, and that day won't be far, maybe in 10 years.  don't invest all your savings into crypto, just a portion where you think you can do without.  also, diversify your funds into top coin projects so as to minimize losses and gain collectively.

Because money makes the world go round. It means that crypto offers a lucrative profit and people want a piece of it. If you just made calculated efforts and investments on bitcoins and altcoins, you could easily gain money  that is even enough to purchase a lambo.

I wouldn’t say it’s the hype rather it is the technology that has generated an industry based on digital transaction and trading. In every cases of innovation of technology, there has been hype, some of them were worth the hype, some of them not. However, crypto and blockchain technology has been seeing this hype for last 6 years straight. So, I wouldn’t call it a hype anymore, it’s popularity.

around money there is always a noise, although money does not like it, money likes silence. And the fact that many people buy crypto currency without understanding the details and lose their money, it is only beneficial to those who understand what they are doing.

Yeah, you are absolutely right, good point! I also do not understand people who gets loan and go all in without knowledge or some experience. Firstly you should learn about your investment, and only then invest money what you can afford to lose!
They also wanted to ride in the rocket without completely or have less knowledge on what they are investing. That's what happen to people that got hype when they saw the price and just invested but unfortunately, price goes down and it leaves a bad impression but they didn't know it's their own fault.

Well its a pretty new concept and a lot of potential profit to be made, if making right investments. Also Bitcoin in a few years bounced from cents to being worth thousands. Further market is growing, still not mature, a lot new altcoins are coming out and developers are always looking for new improvements, which will deff help increase standard in the industry.

this is not hype that is increasing, it is spam advertisement of altcoins that are getting dumped. in fact the more an altcoin is being talked about shows that the less good an investment it is. specially when you see topics by newbies around the forum talking about that coin. it is always because they are experiencing a lot of loss and want it to stop but don't know what else they can do but spam about it.

I also think that should not be taken for a first draft which promises a lot of money but doesn't explain how he earned it. You should be careful.

Yes, agree with your opinion. For novice investors, most of them follow suit and listen to others' opinions.
I think that hype will not stop. As an investor, you should learn how to judge risk and rational investment.

There are a lot of examples how cryptocurrencies made ordinary untalented people fabulously rich. Those examples are like a miracle for many people who want to become rich. They are following their desires.

It's what you pay attention to, because you're into crypto. There's always hype where there's money. Stocks: there's been so much investment frauds in history and about 20 of them were very large scale (like BERNIE MADOFF Pyramid scheme) with people losing billions of dollars, each year more than 30 million consumers fall victim to investment frauds. Bonds and real estate scams with their own more than 10 different schemes. So crypto hype is just a regular thing, it only means that cryptocurrencies are in the spotlight.

You're right. In my opinion, there are two problems in the crypto-currency world that spoil the opinion about it. The first is the scammers who cheat and take away from people their honestly earned money. And the second problem is lazy people who want fast money. But they are not ready to study the project and the team.

You say the right things. Do not forget that most people here are present for the purpose of earning money and when they see in their eyes the money they become is not interesting to learn, they want to make money right away.

Listening to info from someone then you invest without studying or analyzing the type of investment is a big mistake, because what you face is an uncertain market fluctuations. especially if you take a loan or use all your life savings can be very risky, the benefits in demand come faster to you without you thinking about the lacing of the risk that you may experience in the future.

People have seen now what crypto can do. They have seen people got rich with crypto. That's why there are lots of people are coming to the field. But unfortunately most of them leave the field with huge losses. That's due to the lack of knowledge about the industry of them. As the OP said, please get some knowledge before joining the crypto field.
Such a big hype around the cryptocurrency only because it can give fast money, which in another area is difficult to do, a simple man in the street.
