why is he so much evil? he fuck everyone, everyone will fuck him back

That's my point. We should be the bigger persons. If soemones acts like a douchebag to us, we don't -have- to act to a douchebag to him. We should just walk away and forget him.

maybe you would understand it if you lose 100k or more ?

It is true that I have not lost 100k. More about 1k. But I'd be -really- surprised if more than a few peoples had so much money on Gox. Hate I've seen on this forum seems to come from a LOT of users.

the users on this board are not different than on any other forum.

I present to you - The keyboard warriors!
It's so easy to type shit out, which is the
reason so much violence threats, racism,
sexism and vulgarities occurs on the internet.
It's safe to say 99% of these people would not
"kill" anyone, nor would the threaten to do so
with their own voice. The computer screen acts
like a shield that blocks all consequences.

Whant would you like that they have done more?

Personally, I think they should have and should now implement a contract which states that any member of the board representing a company should be willing to allow their company to be technically (for malleability issues and such) and financially, audited, and that the findings can be made public to the community.

I don't think this is to much to ask considering the already negative opinion of the Bitcoin world already.

Just be careful with what you say.  Even in the US you cannot incite people to violence, and there are limits to the 1st Amendment.  I know if you lost major money in Gox you'd be pissed though.  There are other avenues to getting revenge or your money back, like suing him.

Firstly, I live in a democratic country where freedom of speech is aloud and I have used that to express my discontent with the foundation.
Indeed you have the right.

Secondly, all this let's be bigger men and move on crap is BS. Unless we as the community make it know to people like the foundation that this crap won't be stood for, only then will they make a conscious approach to stamping this sort of behaviour out, rather than turning a blind eye to it, revelling in being a board member and blowing smoke up each others arses.

And I didn't have coins in GOX I just find it appalling that the ones supposedly representing the community don't even do due diligence on the companys on their board.

The point about "being a bigger man" was more about karpeles than.

Of course we must let know that we wont stand by this. My point was that we should do productive actions, not spend our time being angry.

And in general, I just fail to see -why- people are so much angry about the Foundation. There was nothing they could do. They cannot check Mt.Gox's accounting. Karpeles was on the board because he was elected there by the community. It was a bad call, but we could'nt have known at the time.

The only thing they could have done during the crisis, is a post to try to calm people down, and reassure them that the "maleability bug" claimed by Gox is not a bug, but a failure of them to understand how it works. And they did exactly that.

Whant would you like that they have done more?

Patrick Strateman and his mother decided to kill my little girl's dog.

They know all about how I need the bitcoins for his heart operation, stole them and kept them. I don't want them dead. I want them to explain to my daughter why adding a few more thousands to their stolen millions was more important than her dog's life. Look her right in the eye.

These are the killers. They will be going to jail.

I certainly don't condone threats of violence and have not made any myself.

I have, however, said 'fuck the foundation' as you put it. And I'm fully valid to do so.

I just wan't to say that I'm dissapointed. Ever since the beginning of Mt.Gox fiasco, half the posts of this forum have been things like:
- "I want to kill Karpeles!"
- "Good riddance Mt.Gox! Die in a fire!"
- "LOL people who had coins in Mt.Gox! You were stupid. You deserved it."
- "Fuck the foundation!"
- etc...

I get it that people are angry... But still. It has been two weeks since all this begun. Also, NOBODY should ever wish somebody else's death.. Ah, Karpeles has lost all our trust, and will never get it back, but I don't want him dead even if I had some coins on Gox. Killing him won't get your coins back! Nor would hitting it in the nuts or bitch-slapping him

And the thing is, we are all early adopters of bitcoin. We all embarked on this adventure quite recently, and we all are partners in this adventure. We should support each other, and project to the outsiders a positive image of the community if we hope that Bitcoin gets more adoption. Not laugh at each other!

Finally, we should focus on the future now instead of going over and over the past. Shit happened. Bad calls were made. But it's done now, and nothing cannot be done about it. What -should- be done now is focussing how we can rebuild the trust of the people into Bitcoin, and further expanding it. And it is not by sending threath to Karpeles we can do that.

+1. Well thought out, sane posts like this make bitcoin seem more legitimate. The angry internet dudes are usually wusses in real life anyhow. The good news is that not just bitcoin message boards are the victim of stupidity, so it's more a reflection on internet posting than on bitcoin.

+1000.

Aside from the obvious ethical value of the point made by OP, frothing at the mouth is also quite unproductive. I never even registered on MtGox, but if I were affected by this very unpleasant situation I would try to put together a class action lawsuit against Karpeles rather than fantasize about killing him.

After all, Pirate@40 was found guilty in a regular court of law, even if his scam was based on bitcoin. In this case, the company is Japanese so it might be more complicated, but creditors should be able to recover a part of their deposits through legal means.

Yeah this is ridiculous. Make fun of his frappuchino or blue balls, call him a fat useless bastard if you want, but don't threaten to kill him. No person should be making death threats whether serious or not.

I bet half of the people who are calling for his death don't even have any Bitcoins anyway  Cheesy, or maybe they're pissed that those few thousand Satoshis they got from months of work on a faucet are now worth even less Cheesy.

Hate I've seen on this forum seems to come from a LOT of users.
I recall some video game designer decided to change the specs of one of the weapons in the game and as a result an army of basement dwellers threatened to rape and kill his wife and children.

There are a lot of people who lack empathy on the Internet but fortunately very few of them ever act out their fantasies. Arguing with them probably just encourages them.

Ah, an intelligent post. Remember that its the internet, and most of us are anonymous.
Doesn't mean that we should post such an awful things, but a lot of people are angry or just trolling.
Enjoy 40000 years of civilization!

Yeah I don't understand it at all. No need to be violent because you lost money, we are not a barbaric society.
Still read this, if you are from US not all is lost for you since there is a silver lining! 'United States tax law allows capital gain losses to be rolled forward without a statute of limitation. Thus, your Bitcoin losses will be deductible forever until you've used them all.'
