I agree wih you.Bitcoin transaction is anonymous . Thats why people prefer using bitcoin. But this is not the only reason .In my opinion there are two more reasons for it. One reason is bicoin's price is increasing day by day.So many people want to keep bitcoins as a future assest or investment.Because they think its price will rise again. Another reason is its very easy to transfer bitcoins from one part of the world to another part. That too processing fee is much lesser when compared to paypal and other banking process.No headaches and no stress.Just you need a computer and internet .Thats it. I think its because of this people are preferring bitcoins over fiat.

That is correct about bitcoin that it is fairly cheap to transact, fast, easy, and anonymous. I have a friend that when we talk about money, he convert everything to bitcoin because he is now considering bitcoin as his primary currency.

Does anybody know what has happened to the yuan price of bitcoin on Coindesk? It jumped since Jan 30 from 6370 yuans to 7116 (just like as if yuan rate was 7.05), but dollar/yuan rate remained the same - around 6.86.

Both Bitcoin and fiat are good for payment but I think one may consider Bitcoin over fiat based on a few reasons which are not limited to;
1. Low transactional fees,
2. 24/7 Accessibility,
3. Security.

Yeah I agree with you. Most of the people use bitcoin anonymously and they do not want to show off and they never want to communicate with other people about Bitcoin. Bitcoin is not well supported on many aspects and not many people know about the exist of the Bitcoin. And some of them even think that Bitcoin is very dangerous.

This habit will change once we see something new to replace fiat but if it is not supported by the government, we will be taking risk then. I guess it is more on the conformance on what the government wants us to do, we use fiat since it is very easy to use and we have trust and confidence on it.

I don't use bitcoin for drugs,porn or whatever but I use it for 2 reasons. First it's my money and noone controls it. And second it's also an investment (which is going up right now)

OP, the bitcoin is not made to use in drugs, gambling nor porn, yet the users uses in that way because they cannot be traced that easily and the anonimity is the advantage of it so. It is in the users of bitcoin not to the creator or pioneer of it.

Although we love the bitcoin, but I am sure 90% of transactions every day are still using fiat money. We must be aware, the use of the bitcoin is very limited to the community who know the bitcoin, and that no more than 0.1% of the world population.

Your transaction will remain secret as long as if no one recognises you as the owner of the wallets, if they do, then your transaction will be revealed because blockchain will always keep your transaction history.
So I must say that the secret status of your transaction is temporary in this case.

Life is funny, you have that kind of big amount and yet you complain about your hands get dirty, while for some people, they will be very happy to hold that big amount. That would tell me that life is not fair, people have different satisfaction.

Having said that, we cannot replace fiat just because we are comfortable with bitcoins, think of the majority, the government knows what they are doing.
