I was moving USDT, haven’t done on chain tx for a while. I was surprised to see the fee for USDT transaction was 16+ TRX which is almost $1.80 and at least 2x from few months back. Why TRON fee is such high suddenly? Or it's regular fee for the last few months which I haven’t noticed.

now it's not only happening to tron but has already happened to the binance smart chain. the current high transaction fees that crypto users are complaining about. maybe high transaction fees occur because the price of coins is currently increasing and the demand for transactions is a lot making the transaction fees higher than before.and this has been experienced by several platforms.

I have also noticed this many times. And realized that it is more profitable to withdraw usdt from exchanger than transfer from personal wallet where withdrawal fees are less then personal  transfer. So I use Binance as my personal wallet.  And hold my crypto there. Which is convenient from TrustWallet for me.
I can't agree with you because  decentralized exchanger and centralized exchanger are not the same. Both of these have different features - like in Binance Exchange you can only trade or hold tokens listed on the trc-20 blockchain, on the other hand in Decentralized Exchange you can hold many tokens regardless of whether they are listed or unlisted.  I think Binance or decentralized Exchangers is best for trading because of their low trading fees and Trust Wallet or Decentralized Exchanger is best for holding a this is my personal opinion.

After you made this post I tried to find out directly on Trust Wallet, and I was surprised that the current cost is more than 16 Tron (TRX), I have also searched from various sources and did not find a single cause.

Out of curiosity I tried to withdraw USDT TRC20 on Binance and the fee is still the same, which is $1

I tried again to send Tron (TRX) from Trust Wallet and got no more than 16 Tron (TRX) fees, it seems this high fee is only charged to tokens running under the TRC20 network Roll Eyes

maybe it depends on the time you tried to make the transaction Probably things are little bit congested at the time My suggestion will be always find a good time bcoz when things start to hype up in the ecosystem Most people pay anything to either get that punk or skull NFT or run away from the market during crashes but normally tron is basically the cheapest of them all

I can’t even say anything from where you have such a large commission on the throne. I've been using Tron to withdraw USDT for several years now and the fees are always very low. I believe that the market does not stand still and the price of the throne is also changing. I think that the throne is a very promising coin that has a great future.
Everyone has their own thoughts in viewing and analyzing a coin, so it is only natural to give birth to different thoughts because it is very possible that it was born from the point of view that is seen by everyone so that you are always free to give opinions.

Withdrawing USDT on the TRC20 network seems to me normal compared to transactions on other networks, I tried to withdraw USDT from Bitmart exchange with a fee of $1 USDT, for transactions from each exchange it seems to have a different fee, but not more than $2 usdt, for that I make a withdrawal in the form of Tron coins because the fee is lower only 10 Tron, but for wallet like safepal to other wallet the fee is normal just 0.1 TRX
Tron gas fee should be under 1$ still but since ETH gas fee is making everything looks impossible people will see Tron alternative as better option but still making more than they should charging people 1-2$ per Tron transaction it's too high but better then ETH.

Paying $1-2 under Tron network is way way better than ETH network, when it comes to USDT. If the wallet or exchange platform has the option to send or receive, let us say for example USDT(TRC20), grab it. Because you will find out that they are one of the cheapest. But now, check also the newer chains like SOL or MATIC, because some exchanges are already integrating these new networks. Just compare the fees involved and make sure that you are sending or receiving under the same chain, else, your funds will be lost.

Remember that if you are interacting with smart contact, the transaction is way higher compared to normal transactions sending TRON -> TRON or other TRC20. This is the same with Ethereum network.
This is the same case with Binance Smart Chain (BSC) before when there's a time that even on Binance Smart Chain which become alternative of Ethereum transaction fee spiked.

This is unexpected! I do not think anything has happened to really warrant this raise in transaction fees, but then again this could be to do with the Christmas period or maybe the stepping down of Justin Sun has caused this high raise in transaction fees as investors could be having cold feet and they are trying to secure their investments to see how things turn out during this transition process hence moving tron assets here and there.

It's sort of a spillover from ETH and other chains in my opinion.

If ETH transaction volumes are super high and gas fees are skyrocketing, then it makes sense for people to move their transactions to other chains like TRON.

That pushes the load on the network onto high as well, which then pushes up the gas fees there - at least until the fees climb to some sort of equilibrium.

Not sure what is happening behind the screens of Tron team. Recently Tron's CEO Justin Sun stepped down from his position and from that news, I am seeing tron is slowly losing its value like from 180 satoshi to its current value around 160 satoshi. I have used Tron for my gambling purposes but I do remember the fee for transactions was less than one dollar. I checked on tronscan.org but unfortunately they are not providing any information on included fees. Not sure what is exactly going on with Tron but I hope Tron may peak again in 2022 for a new ATH.

On chain transaction will take higher fees when it comes to hectic time. I never used tron i only used BUSD on Binance smart chain. Just like ethereum, the fees skyrocket because many transaction there. You can check the tron transaction and how its blockchain calculating the fees.

In my opinion, the Tron coin is one of the most interesting projects in the crypto industry. Since the Tron coin is designed for a more entertaining activity. But the essence of the coin is to make a profit in the long run. For me personally, Tron coin is one of the most profitable exchange tools for withdrawal with the lowest commission. So I think the Tron coin is very useful at the moment and will become one of the most expensive coins in the future.

Transaction fees on the tron network rose drastically as voting request no 71 was approved where the energy unit price increased from 140sun (0.00014 TRX) to 280sun (0.00028 TRX)

When I started working on tron, it cost less than 0,1$ for transfering and about 1$ for interacting with smart-contracts. Now fess really has grown up, so it takes about 2 or more dollars if you want to interact with different defies. I don't see any really reason for it. Tron is still on low price so maybe the activity is big, but actually, tron doesn't have a huge marketing campaign so as to attract many users.

Gas fees between Ethereum and Trc..
the difference in gas fees is very much different, if it touches the price of 1.8 dollars I consider it still reasonable, especially if the network is very dense.

maybe they use TRC20 a lot in their transactions at the end of this year, I'm not just saying that, as we can see in the market there are some coins that are cheap at first when the price goes up, then including the shipping fee goes up too. like the Ethereum blockchain, the initial costs are low and up to now the gas costs are very high. because the price is high
