I see too much airdrop altcoin in this forum and it mostly just triggers spam, and even they also take advantage of those moments to make fraud.
I think moderators need to be wiser in this regard
As you can see a lot of the airdrop thread violate the bitcointalk rules and i will be supporting you to say about the airdrop thread must be closed, caused by all of them just to grab those people's money.
Most of the airdrop project can be considered as a fraud. If you are seeing the latest trend about the etoken just like bubble and that was appearing anytime.
But you can try to report those thread of some of them are violating the rules.

There is nothing wrong with a lot of airdrop in the forum, and for me there is no harm we follow airdrop, the most important thing is we have to be more careful and meticulous before filling up the airdrop form to be followed, and before entering the data it would be nice we read their project first , and when we find something as odd as asking for a private key or password do not we fill it, this is definitely cheating.

The main problem are the people out there which buy all those obviously scam tokens. It is ok to claim some for free, but why the hell are people buying into this tokens? Only explanation for this phenonem seems to "Greater fool theory".

Because it is quite easy to create a token and run an airdrop. So many people experiencing it even without a project or any roadmap. And people try their chance joining all the airdrops they see in the forum.
There is nothing wrong to join all airdrop see in the forum but the thing is be careful there is some airdrop that they get your key which os more private so before registering on some airdrop you have to search and study on it so the time you spent on it will never be useless. For all what you do made be so worth.

the fact that there are too many airdrops going on cannot make us conclude that many of them are scam, afterall i have seen some great airdrop like Postoken and Deeponion. it is the responsibility of the bounty hunter to duly check the airdrop info before joining the airdrop. however i think this is increasing as the year is gradually ending even bounty campaign have been on increase. not all this ICO are legit but there will still be great one out of many.

Some coins that have a good project use the airdrop as part of their marketing campaign, some depend on to create a strong and large community and make airdrops to grow the community because they know that the majority of beneficiaries will use one way or another and create some movement to their coin.
It all depends on the project. If the are airdropping must there be a reason, you may want to look what is their strategy instead calling scam otherwise you may be missing the chance of getting some money.
Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin Gold is nothing more than airdrop, are you complaining? I don´t think so.

There are plenty of great airdrop alts out there. One is deeponion. It has an amazing community and the devs are always working hard. Maybe some are scam but there are many that are not. Just need to do your research and invest in what you think is right.
EBTC is also a very surprising right, and big investors are also very interested in this coin
