Its difficult to explain through quotes why bitcoin needs to be trusted than any other digital currencies. On learning about its true nature user needs to experiment it to know why people need to trust it.
Bitcoin has the highest network effect ever in a cryptocurrency and it will never change unless something out of this world happens, so its not realistic about an altcoin takeover, Bitcoin is king for the rest of our lifes.

You should trust that the people hosting nodes would make the correct decisions in the future, and that the developers will make decisions that are in the best interest of the people using the technology

Believe it or not, but not everyone involved in Bitcoin is just "investor" or trader. Bitcoin is also very usefull form of payment for some. Whatever the purpose for the payment option, without Bitcoin being actually usefull, just "investing" scheme could not work for so long and collapsed long ago similarly to all altcoin pump and dumps.

I think we should trust on Bitcoin as long as I can, because if we don't trust it which means that we not us it anymore then the price will go down and it will be meaningless to use it. So keep trusting it, and don't stop using it!

Though in the recent news about bitcoin, the one that has recent impact in it is the incident of hacking to one of its known exchange. It may give bad impression but it wasn't bitcoin fault but the exchange security.
Those kind of scams will create an negative impression in the minds of those people who wants to enter the bitcoin world, as they will have fear of loosing their money by investing in it.

It'll still be a while before we get any sort of form of Bitcoin being prominent in our daily life, and until that happens we're going to have to wait and see what we're able to get out of Bitcoin in the meantime. One of the better things you can do is just build up Bitcoin capital (not necessarily through a monetary investment) and hope everything goes well. 
We all who are involved with bitcoin is already trusting bitcoin as most secure cryptocurriencies and have value in real life also with many merchants worldwide accepting bitcoin as well as lots of bitcoin atm where we can exchange bitcoin to fiat easily.

Lol? No one asked you to trust bitcoin. It is your own choice. I don't remember that Satoshi ever promised anything that you will be millionaire in the future if you follow him or anything.If you have even slightest doubts about bitcoin in general, have any legal issues with it or think it is not worth your time and attention then you are free to go.

There is no timeline and there can't be one. It comes down how involved the individual is with the ecosystem.It's important to remind people that it's out there, and for those who use it, that they keep on using it.

Absolutely, specialy after the recent hacking and it's involvment in the black drug market. That gives btc a rly bad name since everyone that I've spoke to he knows the bitcoin from silk road and such deep web sites and yes, it's better to clear up the dust and present it as it it (not ignoring the fact that it can be used for bad stuff just like any other currency)
