Bitcoin holds multiple benefits and people uses it according to their convenience and the advantage that best fits them, its difficult to point single benefit of using bitcoin.
It's irreversible, which is one of the main things, plus it's practically a debit card, instead of a credit card, plus it's an asset that's profitable if you hold. And it's always accurate and quick in transactions. The system is well secured.
Bitcoin is different from fiat. If you hold it, the value will increase. If you use it, the value will also increase.
I came to figure out, why would a consumer/customer use Bitcoins?
You have to pay the 3 cent fee, while you dont have to pay anything when paying with a credit card.

for me as a customer . I do prefer paying bitcoins because it is easy. just get the wallet and pay

it is easy for you to use bitcoin as compare to fiat money, because you may have sound knowledge about bitcoin and the secondly that you will have provide opportunities to use bitcoin in your area. but in most of the area people do not have more knowledge about bitcoin and there is no such facility to use it in their local market. easy as pie. People who have knowledge would have some advantage compared to those who doesnt even know what bitcoin is. Some country have already the facility to accept bitcoin as a payment but to those who live in 3rd world country wouldnt even know what bitcoin is all about and some didnt ever heard about it.
It is not only in third world countries but even in USA or any other developed countries many people don't know much about how to use these bitcoins. Only a few % of people are using these bitcoins as of now, and this market is just around 10 billion, and if you expect everyone to use then, it has to grow a lot and also not all mainstream businesses are not accepting bitcoins still.

Something is can make someone or above want to following that, it's all about benefits they can get from there. not become the public secret. bitcoin with a lot of advantages can make it. but sometimes the advantages can become disadvantages if the things are falling into a wrong hand. for me as a customer . Its useful to hold for digital goods especially and countries undergoing any big change, citizens shouldnt have to bear the cost of events outside their own influence but often a population gets used like that. Anyone who wants to buy something sold globally should have a bit of bitcoin, lots of countries even in the west have giant amounts of debt and you can lose overnight with some new politics. Uk leaving EU or Putin causing some trouble is going to be obvious news that makes people poorer trying to buy or save up for something sold online
Bitcoins are an easy way to do a transaction. When you are using bitcoin, you are sure your funding is there when you spend it. There is no way of over drafting your account and becoming in debt to the bank. They will use it because it is convenient.

Secure - Bitcoin is secure. Security thru priv key that only owner have access. No one can steal your transaction from merchant.
It isnt inflationary - Unlike paper money where government keep on producing paper money, Bitcoin have fix amount of 21m that can be mine over century.

And that is all the reason for customers to use it. It doesnt say switch to this currency, just a good option. That is why I am still thinking why we dont have a great population here?

I think it because customers can buy almost anything using bitcoin. Like for example they can paid Ads, Services or everything that money can buy for.
Not everything but there is a lot of options now. Specially in the sending money part. That is what I love about it being a customer of my some wallet website. Transaction fees are low and it is faster for me. No need to go to a place or look for one. I just need the internet.
Agree. But still with the lots of options now, still the stats for online merchants that accepting bitcoin is pretty low. Some big merchants don't like the active price fluctuations of bitcoin since they are minimizing the risk. Most of big online merchants are dealing with fiat transactions so putting bitcoin in their one of their payment method is risky to consider as price of it always move.
Yes and at a moment there are very few merchants that are accepting bitcoin as a mode of payment and the reason is majority of people are not aware about bitcoin yet.
