I think that they are afraid of failures but to my mind, this is possible even now. I don't think that it is possible to adopt btc as a payment option, however, time will show soon
Bitcoin is fundamentally different from all the currencies and payment systems that exist in the world at the moment. And it has much more advantages in use, and also gives you the opportunity to make money on investments. Therefore, it has such success.
Well, first and foremost, of course,this should be of interest to the big players that control large amounts of money and large transactions.Since you know, the Commission for operations here in comparison with other payment systems for large sums are minimal.
In my opinion, people want to adopt bitcoin as a payment option because of the advantages of bitcoin over fiat. One good advantage is that bitcoin can make its user anonymous as it is decentralized. Low transaction fee can also be the one including the fact that whatever you buy is taxfree.
Now it is difficult to compare, it is simply given little opportunity.But in the future, bitcoin should help to improve the quality and speed of operations,especially for large transactions.Also,if the buyer of a product or service wants to remain unknown, bitcoin can also help him.I am not talking about the minimum Commission for very large sums.What makes bitcoin a leader in this group of payment systems.
Basically also to stay in the shade. Paying with any payment method already created that is not Bitcoin, it is impossible that they do not know who you are.
4 of the biggest reasons in my opinion are:

which means there is no need for third parties and their fees. also there wounld't be any kind of restrictions in your usage.

you don't have to provide your identity to the vendor just to buy a small item!

this is great for merchant protection against all the frauds that take place with traditional payment systems.

These are very good points to your question. You see, if you can manage to make people understand about the features, advantages and disadvantages of bitcoin I think people will easily accept bitcoin over other options. Just compare the value of bitcoin, the security of your transaction, how easy and fast it is and anywhere in the world with no additional tax or charge. People won't be able to compare other options with bitcoin.
Accepting Bitcoin as a payment option will make Bitcoin use ever more popular in society. This increases the demand for Bitcoin ownership by increasing trade volume. Bitcoin prices are rising, and this is what all investors want.
I think that one of the reasons people would want to adopt bitcoin as a payment option when they found out about it is because it is easier and faster than any of the traditional payment methods, specifically debit and credit cards, online banking or PayPal. With bitcoin, and blockchain for that matter, the transaction is very easy and quick. That is something that the others fail in comparison.

If given the ability to make a choice I will choose Bitcoin over and over again. The charges paid in using these aforementioned cards cannot be compared to that of Bitcoin. Bitcoin charges is relatively infinitesimal and the time of transactions is superb.
i think this is because we are now in a modern era, where people wants to pay easily through online. And by that, bitcoin enthusiast also want to pay through their bitcoin balances, it can be used as payment and that's what people want, no hustle.
Generally, I do not prefer to use any other bank oriented cards for payment. Nowadays Bitcoin is not only used for payment but also use for investment. Bitcoin offers peer to peer transaction facility which is really comfortable. Bitcoin is decentralized and used the blockchain technology and the most reliable thing is people can control their funds.
Well i would want to be very candid here because this topic has been on the heart of so many because of the unfair situations that are happening in some countries especially in Ghana. There is a mobile payment system which is very convenient but it would break your heart to know that when making transactions on the mobile system you have to pay double fees! You pay fees on both sending and even the receiving guy on the other hand also pays fees.
This is the reason why countries like Ghana or Nigeria would love to see cryptocurrencies legalized so that we can make payments in bitcoin because bitcoin charges us for low fees and it is very fast compared to the local mobile system. Not only that but there have been numerous situations whereby the system goes down and people have to wait for long hours before they can cash out. These are some of the reasons why i prefer bitcoin transactions than other payment systems.

people would want to adopt bitcoin as a means of payment because it is by far faster than all other means currently available especially long distance transactions with no fees attached. all you need do is pay transaction fee which is usually small. so bitcoin serves a better purpose than the traditional means of payment we are used to
I think people want to compare between bitcoin and the traditional payment and I think they want to try to use bitcoin as another payment option because they know that bitcoin doesn't have an additional fee of the transaction. When they use bitcoin for the payment, they only need to pay transaction fee which can fluctuate depends on the amount they've spent. Besides that, they can use bitcoin for any limitations and bitcoin itself can cross any border, so it does not depend on how far of the recipient.
Bitcoin gives us security and freedom. We can pay anyone anytime anywhere. This information will remain only between us and our opponent. Bitcoin is our future. Many companies are accepting Bitcoin now.
