I would sell that. Every time I see something like that it seems like a scam.

You would or you wouldn't? I guess it's a tricky process as you're likely to get scammed. Can't imagine there's many escrows who offer their services for this haha.

Maybe the escrow can leave a negative trust on that traded account after the trade, and the buyer will not be able to use it for any sig deal lol.

Yeah i honestly didn't think it sounded good either i'm glad I waited and asked.

why would someone want to buy a account? Is it safe? How does it work?

If you're referring to this guy: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/make-easy-btc-by-selling-me-member-activity-or-junior-member-32-accounts-433869 then I think he wanted them to participate in sig deals.

and that sig deals is over now. Tongue

And all because of that guy buying accounts (and is now banned).

I thought buying / selling accounts was ok or was he scamming with them?

He got banned for sending unsolicited PMs. I don't think scammers even get banned either.

- To scam, using the bought account's reputation
- To participate in multiple giveaways (although this is forbidden now)
- To fake bids in auctions
- To leave fake feedback in profiles

I can't think of any legit reason.

To promote a website, or to differenciate accounts, advertise, and so on

People register new accounts to scam people or promote a site, but it is not going well.
So, they buy established accounts to "improve" their credibility.

I agree with the said above.
Very unlikely someone will buy it out of legit reasons. Quite the opposite i believe...
