i think YACOIN despite its name is a huge contender what do the two major cryptocurrencies have in common
BTC was the first sha-256 crypto (and yes the first crypto)
LTC was the first scrypt crypto
Correct me if i am wrong, but yacoin employs a new hashing algorithm so it will be the first of that type of hashing algorithm
So i think yacoin will stand out amongst the crowd of new coins

Thanks for your pearls of "wisdom"....How is YAC doing on the exchange right now? Oh yeah, that's right, fucking horrible

stable as fuck is the new horrible.

So stable at such a low price, it actually costs money to mine it...And don't start on the free power, blah, blah, blah...Someone is paying the power bill.

From a other thread:
BTW - scrypt-jane isn't a hashing algorithm.  It's a software library that supports several different scrypt-based hashing algorithms, including scrypt+Salsa20/8 as used in Litecoin and scrypt+ChaCha20/8 as used in Yacoin.  The library is here:

https://github.com/floodyberry/scrypt-jane

Assuming the OP wants cgminer for Yacoin specifically, a change in the title of the thread is probably warranted, as "scrypt-jane" doesn't refer to the hashing algorithm in Yacoin.  It's ambiguous which scrypt-derived algorithm one is referring to if you say "scrypt-jane".

Edit: Not hoping it won't succeed. I have quite a huge share in Yac and still holding.
